If syphon is not back...then what would guarantee you from surviving a third party, or healing up before the next zone comes up. They need to change this and fast.

I was a OG Nintendo Switch player, I played the game every day and challenged myself against top Nintendo switch pro players. I ended up making it pretty far winning "Nintendo switch only" Fortnite tourneys, and well it was pretty fun playing on it. I have now moved on to PC and it's going pretty well, hopefully I can get back to the feel of being on the two tiny controllers soon lmao.

I play with gyro. It ABSOLUTELY helps my aim, but the frame drops still hit me just as hard.
Difficult to hit your shots--even with gyro--when 10 frames get dropped and your opponent has moved 5 feet away and shot you while you were frozen in time. XD
@@jessetrombley3949 maybe try disabling cross play, so your opponents will have the same issues with frame drops since they will be playing on switch as well :p

It's really not bad at all. Then again I'm from a time when 30fps-ish was basically the best you could expect. Lol. Even 60 seems unnecessary... it just improves the experience.
Then again... I like to take my time dropping in looking at that gorgeous geology and foliage. It looks absolutely beautiful on PS4+

Ive never played switch on anything other than switch but im sure anything else would be better. The switch graphics arent that good a lot of the time and aiming is really hard a lot of times. I win a lot of matches but I could win much more on something else

Anyone playing on switch, get the USB Ethernet adaptor and play with a wired connection. Helps a bit. I still mostly play on on pc though, but started on switch. What I found is to be good at switch you have to play on it exclusively, as soon as I started playing on other platforms I couldn’t do things on switch that were easy before.
You can only do that with oled
@@ugsters_2 i have done it on my non-oled switch. I just bought a seperate usb ethernet converter (has to be specifically for switch). It has to be docked of course.

Honestly this video made me realize how good I am for a switch player honestly it’s annoying playing against people with way better consoles I hope Fortnite releases more switch tournaments
So here’s a few key things from a switch player that you should probably implement since you got the system:
1) Use GYRO CONTROLS. It’s literally the selling point for the switch rn
2) Play in handheld mode. There’s constant 30 FPS and much less delay.
3) Switch is mostly for zero builds. You can build very crazy with the pads but it requires you to play on the TV.
4) Practice more than a couple of hours before damning a whole system 🤣 it is possible to be a pro on the switch. The only thing holding anyone back is the mentality of believing they’re at a disadvantage.
Gyro on 30fps is not even close to regular sticks cause of aim assist
Handheld means third party joycons or you'll get the worst experience imaginable

this was quite informative. i was going to buy a switch for my girl but not now lol. this reinforces my belief that lobbies should not so much be "skill based". but instead, ping or frame based match making.

Frame based would never work on pc. You could just go in with a 1 Frame per second cap and change it to 360 once you get in game

I have been playing on switch for 2 years now, and i will admit the first few months i had 600-1400 ping (that was my internet)
and 20fps but after i upgraded my internet my average ping was only 60!!!!, i learned to edit i learned to build and i learned to play i played on pc once and i HATED it im use to all the controls being right next to me but i had to move my hands all over the keyboard and move the mouse too i honestly dont know how pc players do it

The only way to be good on switch is to be used to 30 fps. Ive been playing switch fortnite since season 5, and im pretty cracked for being on switch. Obviously im not great compared to PC players, but I'm decent.
Also, motiom controls are the way. ESPECIALLY if you're someone lile me who plays splatoon.

I used to play fortnite on my dads xbox 1 on the couch and I was the epitome of a console bot, eventually I upgraded my setup to an xbox s on kb&m and the difference it made was so crazy, after some practice I could edit course, double edit, win games but the game just doesnt feel the same anymore. Maybe you should try some different games like Rainbow Six Siege, or stuff like that idk. After playing Fortnite for such a long time I just feel like Im having so much more fun playing other games where I can start over and learn how to play, thats something that can never happen with Fortnite unfortunately

my friend who is 11 plays switch fortnite and cranks harder than this. also I myself play switch and once you get used to the controls, you can play better than some people. so you just got to practice and maybe adjust your settings. but I highly reccomend to use a first party controller due to the delay/weight/material used in the controller for better grip and first party controllers have a more simple button and stick layouts.

I play on switch as well but I don’t play on a controller I use the actual console and the stick drift is crazy💀 (I do have a pro controller I just don’t use it)
7:13 Playing on switch isn't that bad. The 30fps is pretty much constant, aside from gliding, you'd get about 18.
You can edit very fast on switch and it is very smooth, you just aren't used to 30fps. You can also use motion controls, which are very fluent btw.
Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation users cannot match with PC users unless you pre-queued with one.
Pistols do about 20 damage a bullet, and switch is highly prone to no-reg shots, so basically you got beamed.
Also: Android is the worst platform to play on if you don't use touch controls, because the latency of using a Bluetooth controller is insane, and the turbo in turbo building is non-existent. You press a wall and it'll come out 500ms later, regardless of ping. It does cap out at 60fps though
You used to get 18 fps max in chapter 2, and shooting an SMG would lag the game in chapter 3, 28fps is a blessing man.

If you don't actually have a PC, and you have an SD card, you should install fortnite. It runs constant 30fps and the guy in the video is just ass on switch, but the video is also old so he prolly better now. The load times are really slow though. If you queue into matches fast, you most likely won't see the start island.
