What timecode tutorial would you like to see next?

What’s the professional post workflow for syncing a large number of video clips with its audio? For example, for a short film. Is that typically the first step in editing? How would you go about that? Would love to see a video on that.

I don't use GoPro, but I'd love to see this available for the DJI Osmo Action cameras.

Is GoPro hero 12 supported as well with this setup as if so perhaps better to make new video that reflects that. Thank you.

Any chance you could add the function to the app where the GoPro running the labs firmware sets its internal time to a QR code-like display? Given the nature of GoPros you can't always have a media mod on the device let alone risk damaging a nice TC-1 so that sort of "approximate" sync is better than nothing and it would be appreciated if the Deity system offered that option.

This is so nessecary! If Diety adds this I would buy the TC-1 instantly

The fact that these little guys now support time-code is nuts! I remember when the Hero 3 Black came out and the idea that it could do 4K at a reduced frame rate and what was it 2.7K at 24fps was considered incredible around 10 years ago

Are you planning on a scannable timecode generator in App like tentacle sync has? The added flexibility (and waterproofness) of not needing to use the mediamod would be awesome.
Also the GoPro Max just can't sync using Deity because no 3.5mm, however it can use timecode with Tentacle Syncs by scanning the app.

Second question - if you are using the mic input on the GoPro (or DSLR), you can't connect an external mic? Anyway around that... I try to have better audio coming in from different sources so that in case a kid screams in front of one mic, the other one in a different position can pick it up.

Once jammed, can I remove the TC-1 and the GoPro TC keeps counting?
I know it will drift a bit due to the GoPro clock being average but we’re sticking go pros in tight spaces and can’t have a TC-1 flying around with it.
I’m glad I saw this video - pretty much cemented our choosing of deity over tentacles. Nice product!!

Can this be done with just the GoPro “Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter”? It provides the same functionality but allows for other cases and USB external power.

@@charlie_n_it didn’t quite work this way in the video but I was still able to record SMPTE and the scratch audio track with the adapter, which is all I needed. I used the SmallRig GoPro frame that has a space for the adapter. This is a little more flexible for my needs than the media mod.

Does the DC-1 need to stay with the GoPro or just jam synced then unplugged?
