I first encountered Steve back when I began researching barefoot shoes and before I knew zero was a thing. I watched the “sh*t barefoot runners say” and laughed because it was so true. Then, a few years later after I had been wearing zero shoes (exclusively) for a while, I realized that the CEO and the guy in the video were the same person. I still watch that video for laughs occasionally. In fact, here I go…
I love Xero shoes and how the company backs their product. I brought a pair of sneakers (can't remember the shoe's actual name) and the stitching started to come away. Now I live in New Zealand. I though ODG I'm gonna have to send these back to the US (NZ post costs are astronomical) , but no, Xero stood behind their product and sent me a replacement pair - wow I was totally shocked and ecstatic at the same time. These are now the only sports and hiking shoes I will buy. Used to wear Asics, again brought a brand new pair that caused huge pain in my feet (not my first pair), asked Asic about it, all I got was crickets, no response whatsoever - never brought or would buy another pair of Asics again. If you can't back your product why would I buy it? Thanks Xero - best shoes!!

I’ve had my Xero’s for about a year now. These things are built by NASA. Resillient, Minimalistic, Durable, Comfy. Even put them through the washer and dryer. I bought them because basketball shoes started feeling like high heels, and I am plenty tall without them. You can wear them without the sole inserts too and there is no irritation. Just picked out a couple more pairs.
When I run now, I have more spring-loading action in my feet's arches which feels like I'm being power-propelled in lift off from the ground whilst running, especially on up hills & I handle down hills so much better than when I used to wear Asics or New Balance. I started wearing barefoot shoes from 3rd September 2021 & that'll never change.
I love Steve's videos. I think he and Lena look more alike than anyone else. I've been wearing nothing but Xero's (and a pair of leather sole mocs) for 5 years now. I love them. I even do long trail runs in my Genesis sandals.
Random Praise: In your June video review with Chase Mountains at about 32:30 you talk about current studies regarding barefoot shoes and balance in seniors. I just turned 74 and have three pairs of Xero shoes that I love. I kept having an ad pop up and finally watched it. I'd been having balance issues, especially apparent when doing flat neighborhood walks. What a difference that I can now walk (HFS II) with clean strides and no off balance. I have to get out on a hilly trail with my trekking poles, but I know that will be exhilarating.
Side note. I remember seeing you on Shark Tank for the first time. I’ll be purchasing my first pair this week. I live in NYC and I walk a few miles per day visiting clients. I dress business casual daily, so What would you recommend?

Made my first shoes from your design for my kids and I , seems like it was just a webpage, not sure. I used hay roller belting for the soles. Then later when you started selling the sole material I bought some of that. It brings me joy to see the success you have had.

The coco puffs/ banana in the pants was savage! Also, I broke my foot a couple of months ago and Xero shoes are the only shoes that are comfortable. I was told to get cushioned shoes. They now sit in the back of my closet.

I tried these shoes and I really wanted them to work but unfortunately, they made my back pain worse. I have a spinal fusion and the lack of heel support makes my back pain so much worse. I do love the wide toe box and I think if you don't have back issues, these shoes will be great, but if you have a fusion, you may experience more concussive action when the heels hit the floor without support. After a few hours at work wearing my XERO shoes, my back was screaming. I was bummed.
I love Xero shoes for many reasons but one of my top reasons is that they come in men's size 14! So happy my 6'6" son has barefoot shoes accessible to him and his BIG feet! Thank you Xero

Not happy.. I ordered the repair kit and watched a RUclips video from them on how to refit the lace. The new lace would not go into the hole. I emailed them asking for help. Indeed it is difficult to get in..use a bobby pin to attach the new lace and pull threw with a plier. It didn't work for me. I paid 10 dollars on shipping g Fees to have it delivered. The toe loops and laces cost 7.49 .. I requested a shipping return label. They charge 10 bucks for that. No free returns.. I didn't use their label. Used post office that was 6 dollars. They refunded the 7.49 back to me. But it cost 17 dollars for shipping. Also the video they promote on RUclips is misleading. What a Rip Off. Never will order again. Buyer beware. Xero shoes need to be an ethical company.
