Gwen Stacy by Emma Stone was imo a godsend of a character for the TASM movies and is imo the best Spidey love interest in all of the Spider-Man movies. Still, I gotta say, this version of Gwen was pretty good, especially considering she was a side character.

Tom Spidey's universe does not have a version of Gwen. Even his MJ is very different version from the standard MJ. And Andrew's universe does not have an MJ, only Gwen

Too be fair In a lot of cases MJ can be seen in the right in her perspective. In Spider-man 2, Peter completely misses all of her plays when everyone else in her life could show up including her abusive father. while misses all of her plays, Peter tries to get back at MJ even though peter friend zoned her in Spider-man 1 so she goes with John Jameson believing he would treat her better. MJ is going through a hard time during Spider-man 3, she lost her dream job and when Peter tries to support her he keeps on relating it to spider-man when it’s completely unnecessary and unrealistic in her perspective. After MJ gets fired at her Job and talks to Peter at the date, when MJ isn’t feeling well, Peter immediately assumes that it’s her getting recognised and refers to back to spider-man always getting reconsigned just because if something is going for him apparently means that everything is has to go good for her So idk, MJ works really well for me In the trilogy. However even though I ‘complained’ about Peter being rude to MJ isn’t the case at all. HES SPIDER-MAN he wouldn’t have time to arrive at her plays. Peter is a very complex person but what makes this all work is that MJ obviously doesn’t know that he’s spider-man until the end of spider-man 2 and all works beautifully in spider-man 3 with Peter growing a huge ego (which works so well with the black suit)
Imagine that in Spider-Man 4 Peter realizes Vulture is a real threat when he fails to save Gwen. That way MJ wouldn’t be jealous because it could’ve been anyone who Peter failed to save and he feels horrible for not being able to save her. That’s how they could’ve interpreted their version of Gwen’s death

Fun fact. Lee and ditko actually intended for Gwen to be the girl Peter ended up with in the comics, and MJ was only meant to be a first love but since she was loved so much by the audience, they decided to keep her🥴 i definitely prefer her over MJ and I hope Tom hollands Peter meets Gwen soon

Too be fair In a lot of cases MJ can be seen in the right in her perspective.
In Spider-man 2, Peter completely misses all of her plays when everyone else in her life could show up including her abusive father. while misses all of her plays, Peter tries to get back at MJ even though peter friend zoned her in Spider-man 1 so she goes with John Jameson believing he would treat her better.
MJ is going through a hard time during Spider-man 3, she lost her dream job and when Peter tries to support her he keeps on relating it to spider-man when it’s completely unnecessary and unrealistic in her perspective. After MJ gets fired at her Job and talks to Peter at the date, when MJ isn’t feeling well, Peter immediately assumes that it’s her getting recognised and refers to back to spider-man always getting reconsigned just because if something is going for him apparently means that everything is has to go good for her
So idk, MJ works really well for me In the trilogy. However even though I ‘complained’ about Peter being rude to MJ isn’t the case at all. HES SPIDER-MAN he wouldn’t have time to arrive at her plays. Peter is a very complex person but what makes this all work is that MJ obviously doesn’t know that he’s spider-man until the end of spider-man 2 and all works beautifully in spider-man 3 with Peter growing a huge ego (which works so well with the black suit)

Imagine that in Spider-Man 4 Peter realizes Vulture is a real threat when he fails to save Gwen. That way MJ wouldn’t be jealous because it could’ve been anyone who Peter failed to save and he feels horrible for not being able to save her. That’s how they could’ve interpreted their version of Gwen’s death
