Great video but the repetitive music can get annoying. Would be better when you was connecting your trailer if you would be explaining what you are doing but keep up the good work.

Will improve on that next time, thank you. This was more of an introductory video. I will do a separate vlog on trailer coupling.

Taking you down narrow streets and lanes 😂

    • @TruckerTaf

I must say, it was a very cheap one, but to be honest 9/10 times it does the job perfectly well. There are times it tries to take me on narrow lanes especially when I’m doing country side deliveries. I however remain on the main road if I don’t feel comfy and it simply reroutes.

Hello I am looking at wanting to learn to drive a HGV/LGV but my driving licence which I have held for 10 + years is a automatic one does this stop me from learning in a manual lorry or ruins my chances of learning and trying aquire a lorry license in manual etc.. thanks

    • @lifeonthehighway6917

George contact Driving Vehicle Standards Agency - (DVSA), They should better advise you but from my point I shouldn't think it will today because modern trucks are Automatic now. Good-luck. Steve from Manchester.

Good day Taf , whats your advice on someone like me as a zim guy looking to come to Uk for hgv driving jobs with a SA license with 6 months experience so far , do they take people like us if yes , what are their requirements as it is a foreign license and if you have any ideas of companies currently hiring

@@TruckerTaf thank you I did watch it , but I heard that in Ireland you can actually drive with a SA license rather than a zim license I don’t know how true it is and to get a work visa how difficult is it coz I see you need to be skilled to meet the requirements, can you actually get one to work as a HGV driver not just in Uk but Scotland as well and other country’s any info that you know about will be helpful thanks 🙏

A very cheap one I got from eBay . It’s called Xgody. It does the job perfectly fine though. I had a proper Tom Tom before which showed live traffic and all, but forgot it in a lorry doing some agency work, found out after my off days that it was missing and everybody that had used the truck afterwards said they never saw it, hence ended up getting what I have now lol.

@@davidcain5648 You’d be surprised some class 2 jobs pays more. The only difference is the handball involved. With class 2 it’s mostly multi drop with cages or pallets and pump truck whereas with class 1 there’s little or no handball involved. Worked a whole year on class 2 for a company that paid £25ph, the highest I’ve ever got so far,but talk about handball😂 by the 5th day you’d need a walking stick lol
