Eggs is correct, there is a GIANT fellowship of people out here who actively support each other in recovery from drug and alcohol dependence. It's always been a huge addendum in graffiti culture that drugs are used and abused and no one really talks about the darker side of that.
Thanks for reuploading!!! One of my favorite miami writers. DME really was one of the dopest crews of their era. Whenever I visted NYC I'd love seeing his tags, lots of other miami heads getting up in NYC.
This reality is unbearable to free spirits, which is why we get hooked on chems that let us “escape” for a few hours. Writing is just another manifestation of the free spirit longing to be free. I wonder what happens to Taken, we used to chill at the Flagler Penet, guy was a true talent.
at the end i'm kind of surprised this doesn't get talked about more, how modern graff is one of the biggest art movements or whatever of the 20th century and then some, spread globally etc.
@@LivingProofNewYork cool thanks, I liked this one. I’ve been almost 3 years sober after drinking heavily for 7 years. No drugs or weed, just quit smoking cigs & drinking alcohol. I feel like I’m 17 years old again ! Lol
I’m in it right now drinking a lot I’ve been painting and making Usps slaps in my garage. I got sober for the first time in 2015 in AA and have been chronically relapsing on and off til now. I’m waiting for my rock bottom because I’m a selfish dude. Writing is the only thing keeping me together at this point.
I’ve given up on the 12 steps at this point, I hate myself and writing y name gives me like this thing where I can show myself atleast I can show that I was here because to the rest of the world I don’t exist as my legal name.

Life's a trip im thankful ive been blessed im 30+ and still write with my guys from highschool! We still get shit done but its a trip we still here
