If you look closely, the widow was actually pushing the stinger away several times with its front legs, was trying to avoid being stung! Lol almost as if it knew somehow.. perhaps inherited behavior? ..but this particular scorpion was persistent.. a lot of scorpions give up until next available opportunity.. somehow spiders are instinctively aware of the stinger.. I’ve watched many scorpion vs spider videos and they all seem to know what’s coming next after being grabbed by the pinchers.. but if the spider is bigger, they all seem to go after the tail first.. thus, also implying that spiders are without a doubt aware of the stinger...
