Really nice video Macy, loved some of the shots like the wattle, general outlook of the Grampians, waterfall etc. Wonderful to see you so happy. I think your plans sound great, your love of hiking and photography is bubbly and infectious !
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks heaps ☺️
Dark Emu is an important corrective and challenge to the myths that have served to justify colonisation and dispossession. The justification in of itself - namely that indigenous people didn't practice agriculture or establish permanent settlements - is of course, not a justification however Bruce Pascoe's book shreds it entirely.
Incidentally, I love the final scene where you momentarily forgot which side the driver's seat is on. I lived in Norway for 10 years and it took me a good six months to break the habit. I attempted to go round a roundabout the wrong way once!
I’m only a couple of chapters into Dark Emu but I think it’s definitely something I want to read and reflect on while in Australia. Also, driving on the opposite side of the road/car is such a hard thing to rework in your brain! I swear I see people driving on the right side in movies now and I’m like “wait what are they doing” but then I still go to the wrong side of the car when I’m running on instinct. Thanks for watching the video, it means a lot!
It looks like you and Australia are making a deep connection with each other, as it does I see you are starting to get a permanent smile, (careful you'll get indelible smile lines on your face, the best wrinkles, lol). Happy to see you feeling so good about pretty much everything, here's a secret, the longer you stay the happier you get.
Love to you both, cheers.
It does feel really good. I feel super supported and inspired here, more than I’ve felt in a really long time (or maybe ever). Thanks for watching, cheers!
The joy of watching Lorikeets and making friends with Magpies or Possums never diminishes.
Australian wildlife is amazing!!

I ran over a tiger snake with my dirt bike this week in the western suberbs in Melbourne...soon they will all hibernate for the winter until spring in September.
Yes being out in the bush and experience the nature and beauty does bring a happyness to your soul. Australia has so much soul happiness to offer. Also our culture and friendly people makes the experiences so much better.
You follow your heart and soul as thats what life is truly about. ❤
Couldn't agree more!
What a lovely video and keep them coming !
Thank you! Will do!
