Fantastic concert, Adam! And good news: the 1929 mostly silent version of SHOW BOAT does survive. And in recent years, archivists have found additional sound sequences that accompanied the film when it was released in 1929. These additional sound clips feature Helen Morgan and other original SHOW BOAT stage performers, singing songs from the Broadway show. You’ll find them on Blu-ray and some on RUclips.
