I share the same thoughts as you. I love the game it’s the only game I play, but the whole fm25 updates have been worrying and rumours of no beta either which isn’t great incentive to pre order
Unfortunately I agree with you, it is not changing for the best... Plus I would like to add that the decision on focusing so much on Women football is a completely criticizable strategy. By adding it they take resources away from other aspects wich probably are of interest to a greater % of players (SI likes this % thing a lot to justify themselves) for a more finished product. I hope I am worng but beeing too greedy has a price.
Adding the women’s game will inevitably set the game back. For me, I think there was far more clamour for the game to be improved than there was for women’s football. Make what we had perfect, before doing something for an unfortunately limited number of fans that takes up so many resources. I wonder if football manager will be in for an awkward conversation around how much women’s football is played, given they’ve set the standard for features being removed if they aren’t played. Didn’t buy 2024, unlikely to buy 2025
Is a massive new feature to the game, releasing women’s football AND a whole new match engine was a lot to ask. Hopefully we are wrong and the game slaps, just can’t see that happening though…
This is giving me no mans sky vibes they are usually quite open about the new release but they are using the ea playbook of corporate jargon and no actual information.
@KempiXI yeah I get they need to appeal to others but think people who have played this for years, had it since cm 1 and got the add on cd with Italian leagues. It just feels that this year's version is not finished and no mention of a beta as well struggling to justify a preorder from me.
worried is an understatement, the fact how basic the engine graphics are but depth of the system makes this one of the most PC draining games i know, adding the graphics is surely gonna be even more straining on pc gamers. I know they want to bring in a wider demographic but i hope its not at the cost of the PC loyalists, ive been playing since 00-01 on CM but im scared they are gonna compromise the quality of the depth to this game we all love to make it look more appealing to the eye to get new people playing, at the sacrifice to everyone who has been loyal for years. Also kempi a thought to pass the next few months, i love the moneyball, but to make it a bit more challenging before fm25 how about back to back moneyballs and after you competed it with one team you have to resign and pick a new team in the save game. randomises teams of choice as i big team may have fallen during your first moneyball but has the added challenge that you loose the real players and safe signings and go into the unknown. maybe a good end of fm24 to do 3-4 back to back see how challenging it is :)
The wider audience is and will always be a myth that the gaming industry keeps falling for. As everyone else, the more they cater to it the more they will alienate their core audience. It's just sad to see this happen over and over again while no one learns the lesson.
@@KempiXI You always adapt to the times and technology while building up on your core concept. And for FM that means complexity and realism. If they simplify it too much for some assumed dumber audience, I can't see it being a good thing for the game.
Let's be honest, less people are interested in womens football than the international game they've taken out this year. At least they can pat each other on the back for playing the woke card - even if it is at the detriment of the game.
But what can they actually show of women's football on their roadmap? The UI and graphics/match engine aren't going to be showcased until later dates on their roadmap, it makes no sense.
"Why I am Worried" ... Streamer/Content creator sees their revenue at the mercy of this release. Let's be real. The game could be just fine, but 2 months of delay and uncertainty are horrible for the content creators.
@@aaronedwards4953 watch the video bro, I said multiple times I don’t earn enough from this to be a full time gig. I’m worried because our game is gone
@KempiXI I went to Dallas in 2018 to see Debbie Gibson and my mate who lived there took me see FC Dallas so support them, then 3 years ago I found my grandfather and found out he came from a town 60 miles from Dallas, then my mate brought me a Cowboys shirt last year so I started being a Cowboy nothing to do with the cheerleaders lol I don't know rules yet but learning. Hope our teams start doing well
i am going to buy it don't care about the negativity.. there is always soemthing to talk about! its a new game obviously everybody will be worried until it comes out and everyone will be WOW!

@@KempiXI fairly certain there is a PC and console version still thankfully. However that does still give concerns over a UI that 'looks like' a console game on the PC version.
The addition of a womens database is no big deal, just like any other custom database anyone can currently download for FM24 so forget making it sound revolutionary, I for one will never play it. Sure its now going to be EPL licensed but with the same old boring generic stadiums, like WTF why cant they let the mods do their thing so we can import them? AS for the migration of the game to Unity, its a well supported game engine thats been around for a long time and used by many games/developers again no big deal and should not cause any issues, just time to write the damn code. I’m incredibly worried about this game. I could see a half finished game released.

SI have always been skimpy on showcasing new features so no suprise

I tend to disagree tbh. Games need to move on and realise trends, success doesn't come from sitting on your hands and not adapting to the times!
