- Lately I was experimenting wit some grains and distortions and I managed to create some decent looking ghost letters that fades away in grain. There more ways to go around this trick and this is one of it.

Hey, everytime I try to resize my text with the displace added, it always changes the quality of the displace and doesn’t remain the same. Any suggestions?

Try to use textures that has grain on it. Or add grain from the effects menu
Hi, great tutorial, cant get to understand why when I apply my displacement it's only move my object and dont apply the grain/ghost effect

The displacement depends on the color of the d-map. 50% gray doesnt displace at all, white displaces in one direction and black in the opposite.

If you convert it, you still can go back to the effects to edit the settings
