      Two questions Sir. One, were there any issues fitting cardo to the Ruroc Track? Two, since most everyone (self included) are getting the 4RR flashed, where would you compare it in same class of 650, R7, GXSR8, etc.?

    Suzuki always waits to play their cards, and it always pays off. The entire new line up is stellar and im hoping they slap this tech on the other GSXRs. A new 750/1000 with that dash and QS would dominate the market.

    • @TheGolfCellar
      @TheGolfCellar 7 месяцев назад +1

      If they put this tech on the gsxr600/750. It would be the best selling bike instantly. I have a 2012 gsxr600 and an update is needed tech wise or at least give us the options.

    I think this is one of the best looking bikes to come out. Everyone wants to go balls to the wall all the time but if you’re not going to the track, these bikes are perfect for commuting and day trips to the twisties. Some people need to understand the usability of their bikes and their skills. As far as commuter bikes this thing looks sick and would be perfect. The other bikes that you have to ring out through the rpm’s aren’t fun because it’s rare that you actually get to ride at the limits of those bikes and if you do you’re risking losing your license and your ability to ride. I love to push it but I love to enjoy the ride more. I’m really stoked with bikes becoming more street oriented than these track missles that you barely get to leave second gear without committing felonies and risking losing it all.

      Personally I don’t like the fact that it looks disproportionately heavy on the front compared to the rear, I think the new cbr650r does the same job but looks way cooler. To be fair I’ve never been a fan if Suzuki’s design choices so maybe it’s just me

Depending on where you live you may be able to get a similar deal and while I think you should buy what you think is the best deal for you that's a pretty big price difference for a very similar bike.

    Nice bike! I love my 8S but might very well have gone for the 8R if it was available at my time of purchase. So many of the 8S/8R videos show people winding the engine out trying to get max performance so credit to you Chase identifying short shifting as the most efficient way to ride this bike.

    • @zdwg3065
      @zdwg3065 11 месяцев назад +1

      I respectfully disagree with the Nice bike statement. The nose and headlights were simply pulled from the 8S and what worked good for the 8S does not work good for the 8R. Suzuki is known for some of the best iconic sport-bike headlights in the business from their GSXR series. In this case I see two flashlights glued into the black plastic that was extended down from the dash/odometer.
      The yellow does look nice though. If I were looking at purchasing this bike it would need to be the yellow color and I might be able to tolerate the head light failure. The rear stop light in the plastic fender is also a fail but that can be fixed with a tail tidy

    I know they've been doing them for years now but, I guess I'm still not used to the size changes they done on motorcycles. It used to be for decades everything was in 1/8 or 1/4 liter I.E. 50, 80, 125, 250, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600, 650, 750, 1000. I guess now they filled in all the gaps with 300, 390, 636, 700, 800, 900, etc. I'm sure I missed several sizes as I don't follow motorcycles as much as I did years ago. I still ride but, only have the old school RD400 and new XR150L. The XR is actually fund to ride in my 60's. My last sport bike was an '05 Buell XB12 SCG which handled really great in my opinion considering it didn't have top shelf suspension parts. Had so much torque I could do a dead stopped 5th gear burnout at 3500 RPM.

    • @ws8080
      @ws8080 11 месяцев назад

      Really, the numbering system in names meant little in real relation to engine size unless it was a race class with requirements. Otherwise, they were rounding up and down all the time.

    • @RedBud315
      @RedBud315 11 месяцев назад

      @@ws8080 No, the numbers typically were related to the engine size but, the sizes were not rounded up and down like the modern bike. Someone else commented on it being because of emissions and I suppose I can buy that. They rarely had single digits to indicate engine sizes like GSX-8 or MT-7, MT-9 etc. They typically had the full size like 700 or 750. All I was pointing out is an observation for someone who has been riding for over 45 years that I'm not used to it since I don't follow bikes as much as I used to. I still ride but, I could care less about every new model that comes out like I did when I was younger.. My RD400 is not called an RD4 thankfully.

    Like these new 800 platforms from Suzuki, but can't see myself upgrading from my (yellow) SV650 for a long while yet. Suzuki typically makes platforms to last, so I expect I'll have plenty of (slightly used) 8S, 8R, or 800DE, etc. to pick from when the time comes. Thanks for the review - everyone seems to think this engine is a winner, and that Suzuki is doing just enough tech at the price point to be successful. I hope so - my original bike is also a Suzuki (GSF400F Bandit from the 90s that I still have), so I'm a brand fan.

    I have put over 60,000 miles on 600's and 1000cc sportbikes. Grab this bike, put a full akro on it, do the stage 2 airbox mod, get a tune, and go +2 on the rear sprocket. Your top speed should be around 130 and you will have the ultimate street hooligan bike that will beat most 600cc's till 130 mph, then they will overtake you. Enjoy poppin wheelies effortlessly with that 90 hp / 65 lb ft of torque if you have the proper setup.

    Why can’t Suzuki have all these features like the tft display, abs, slipper clutch, quick shift up and down, etc. on the gsxr 600 and 750 especially the 2023 & 2024 year model? Since those bike cost at least $4k more 😔

    • @Purepresa
      @Purepresa 7 месяцев назад

      Simple…if Suzuki made any significant changes to these 2 bikes they would loose the grandfathered statues they have on these bikes as far as emissions. It’s a legal matter…and an entire redesign would be needed in a class of bikes that is slowly going away….SUZUKI and others will not do it
      I have a 750 now

    OC:❤ Damn I'm here for the 8R, NEVER thought I'd say that about any Suzuki. I love the Yellow and honestly hate the blue variant. I like the headlight and maybe a more flush mount side turn signals so they don't stick out so much. I've yet to ride one of these but definitely gotta swing by Mountain. Can't believe I'm into a Suzuki this much.

    Glad to see the insane amount of road construction right now is universal. Makes me wonder how we decided all states needed drain water pipe service, or if this is just an easy means of looking like we have exception "job creation" going on right now. In the Portland area, there's hardly a single suburb that isn't inundated with heavy road work, driving me nuts.
