This is the one thing that I believe extra effort and measures should be legally allowed to extract that information from a Murderer to bring some peace for the family and relatives of victims.
It is so often used as the last indignity by murderers to spend years even decades having appeals, offering deals and negotiating for better conditions and for a reduced sentence and as you said it’s that last bit of control they hold over the family and the justice system. They use it like a golden ticket to play games for decades and to inflict the maximum amount of suffering to the families who have already lost a loved one horrifically and our justice system allows this “taunting” to go on for many years which I believe should be stopped.

That's something I can never understand. When a person dies, they're gone. They're not "resting" in a cemetery. The body they left behind now means nothing, it will return to the earth.
I see how it's heartbreaking to lose someone you love, but the body left behind is unimportant. The person is gone.
The surveillance video in the turd story has got to be one of the most chilling surveillance videos I’ve ever seen. I’ve always been overly freaked out pulling into the garage thinking someone would sneak in. Probably why that video messed with my head a little bit.

I can't even begin to imagine what Narumi's family are going through to this day, not knowing what happened to her. How may parents know, just know, their child's boyfriend or girlfriend is dangerous, and feel helpless, unable to convince their child, or protect them.

The catch is that most of the time that "Dangerous Boyfriend" isn't. If parents were usually right then their children would probably listen. However, having been described as "looking guilty", "looks like a Thug", etc. I know that by being mixed Colonist / First Nations is all it takes to set off the parents of a few of the White Women who were interesting in dating me...

Perhaps take a look at yourself objectively. Since this occurred more than once, it's most likely absolutely nothing to do with your appearance as to why you were run off from their daughters.

Holy cow, that video that Nicholas made was super creepy.
I think what makes it extra creepy is the fact that he's just so soft spoken and polite in it. And if you're not paying really close attention, it seems kinda benign but its the farthest thing from benign, its super threatening and scary.
The winter in some places is dark, , isolated, miserable and drinking heavily is not uncommon. We got at least three active serial killers in Alaska. One in my area picks up hitch hikers. Another one targets the native community.
I work at the busiest gas station in the state and it creeps me out that i prolly know of, cash out and make small talk with a potential serial killer.

Poor Narumi. Its sad no one reported her missing until 10 days later.
It was really shocking because in Besançon nothing that big ever happened (but it's not a safe place, especially at night). I was a student in the same university and honestly some of us thought it was some dudes from France that did it because students from Asia weren't really aware how dangerous it can be at night... My Korean friend would often go to parties and get really drunk with the others and come back on foot instead of having someone driving them home.
Narumi is likely buried in the woods near her dorm room. Fortunately her ex didn't know the basics on how to dispose of all the evidence, including the body disposal car, leaving it on fire after breaking the drivers window in some private place. The PROVO's knew how to abandon stolen cars after using them to launch mortars at the local police station so that the Security Forces wouldn't have DNA, clothing fibers, finger prints, etc. Given that Chile has a worse history than Éire, it is fortunate for everyone that the killer was not into history...

My gods that video at the start - a long time ago my ex sent me something similar, wanting me to sign a ‘contract’ on how i would behave, how i would live, the approval process for any friends. Makes my blood run cold.
One of my friends told me once about how this guy she had started seeing gave her such a thing. I could not believe my ears and asked for a copy - it was very disturbing! My friend was wise and did get as far away from this nutter as possible!

Shelbys story is so upsetting. Her entire life was a nonstop cycle of abuse and just when she was going to attempt to turn things around she was taken out by some complete stranger who more than likely hadn't thought twice about it. I will never forget her story and I sincerely hope she is a better place❤

The "conditions" video was terrifying. Idk if it was the tone of his voice, the way he worded it, or the fact that he gave no information, but I got chills watching it.
Plus, if you know the context of her breaking up with him beforehand, it is even scarier: he is deluded and believes they are still together, because he refuses to acknowledge her free will.
For me it's his certainty that of course it's his place to control her.

He sees her as misbehaving property of whom he has the absolute right to control whether she lives or dies, and the manner of death, how much pain to inflict, etc.. And he says this in such a way that tells me he truly believes this, and thinks he has nothing to feel guilty about. It makes a normal person's blood run cold.

Hi, Mike. Great video, as always. 1987, Homer Potts, Guernsey county Ohio, murdered by stabbing. He was 79. His wife was also stabbed during the attack, but survived. One year later (to the day?) someone came back and killed the wife. Both unsolved.
That definitely sounded personal. It was someone who knew the couple . Possibly an ex employee or someone the husband or wife was having an affair with. Maybe it was a planned hit?. It wasn't random. That poor couple was targeted. 😢

Mike the only complaint I have is the stories are not separated. You need to say like story 1, story 2 etc. Some people get confused and aggravated because they don’t know where one story ends and the other begins. My husband is like that. He also hates tv shows that jump around from story to story and from the present to the past.

There is a case unfolding here in Australia that you might like to look into. A NSW police officer has murdered his ex boyfriend and his new boyfriend in Sydney last week. The cop was charged with two counts of murder last Friday and the bodies of the murdered men, Jesse Baird & Luke Davies were found yesterday.
This was on UK news, so sad.

It seems impossible to find a photo or video image of Harrison Brown anywhere. Seems like his rich-ass family put all their efforts into keeping it that way and looking to forget both him and the whole affair as quickly as possible.

Narumi's case is one of the saddest and most unfair story i've come across. I remember sharing her disappearing notice back in 2016. The french authorities did a phenomenal job in order to convict him. I feel for Narumi's friends and family, they must suffer a lot still not knowing what happened to her exactly.

It always hits hard seeing the victims baby pictures, completely knowing what their fate would be. So much potential time to live and love in life all to be taken away in the most tragic way possible. Absolutely heart breaking
I always get sad seeing them too. Something about bad things happening to kids and animals makes me so sad. But seeing Shelby's made me extra sad because she was so cute and looked so innocent. She was a beautiful young woman and deserved a better life. No woman should ever have to resort to selling their body.

The last case is exactly my fear after my husband leaves to work every morning( always dark out) Some of our neighbors known our exact time he leaves for work( same every morning) I'm always with him in our garage smoking before he leave to work. I always closed the garage once he pulled out and stand facing the garage when i close it. This way i have enough time to run inside and lock the door if someone trys to get our garage. I never turn my back to the garage door lol. We live in a very safe community but that doesn't matter crimes happens when you least expected. Can happen anywhere loke Mike said. So I am very aware of my surroundings at all time so as in public.
I tested positive for the Vid, despite going through the whole pandemic without catching it, I feel like crap.

omg im so glad you covered that murder/house fire in Canada. I remember when that happened I saw the ring footage on reddit and wasn’t able to find anything else out. It sat heavy on my heart for the longest time. I’m so glad they were able to find out who did it.

That last one has haunted me ever since I saw it right after the video was released. A pure nightmare scenario that leaves you rewinding over and over praying somehow for a better ending.

One of the cruelest things people can do is be convicted of a murder in an air-tight case and then refuse to give up the location of the victim's body. Like, you've been convicted. It's over. Just give up the location so everyone can move on. You're not getting out.

If it was sex work he probably took his clothes off and put them in the other room or to the side. Could of easily said turn around thats how I like it and bam. @sunshineravens if I was the cops or major crimes I'd be going in all the surrounding areas and looking for scenes that match because there's definitely more out there and unfortunately I bet lots were chalked up to "dangers of sex work" and the girls were forgot about. esp if he's just casually walking out hes done it before and 100% on some camera somewhere

I'm glad that Mike is still consistent despite his podcast. Some of my favorite content creators got big and either switched or quit producing as much of the content that originally got them there. Yes... this is why that footage is so horrifying. She thought she was home, and safe and going inside to her partner, who thought he was home and safe. Heartbreaking and horrific.

Seeing that 905 number brings back old memories from back in the 90's. I'm from Jacksonville and our area code is 904. As a kid we used to have people from that area in Canada misdial and we would get a call by mistake. It didn't happen everyday, but when it did it was a nice interaction between Southerners and Canadians. "Oh Surrey aboot that" they'd say. "That's alright buddy, it happens all the time, yall take care now." 🤣
