Dont know if you guys cares but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my brother during the lockdown xD
Randy rules...! Watching him play from 10 feet away all the time was astonishing. He just plain kicked ass! Kevin is actually wearing my white sailor cap in this clip. I handed it to him during that show lol... Starwood or Whiskey. Great times! Wow we rocked those shows (and I miss all the girls in spandex). 🌟
Randy is and always be the biggest badass in the guitar world! I have seen some fine guitarist but no one could duplicate his sound or free style. If I could have anything in the world, hands down, would be any of his guitars.
They make Kevin look like the leader of the band when Randy Rhoads and Kelly Garni started it. THEY DON'T EVEN MENTION KELLY OR THEIR FIRST 2 ALBUMS! Or Drew Forsyth who was their first drummer.
+James Yates THANK YOU!!! I was beginning to think my whole life in appreciation and research of Randy was mutilated. Finally I found a comment from someone else that knows the REAL STORY
Let not bullshit here - Randy's stardom with Ozzy is the 1 & only reason Quiet Riot made it out of Hollywood - yeah I know they had Japanaze distributed albums & tours - Randy Rhoads made this band - even back in the LA Club days...
I didn't like Randy's playing in Quiet Riot compared to his Ozzy stuff. Not that it was bad , it was just everyday r&r riffs we all learned in guitar school etc. As a guitarist myself it was lackluster. He really progressed by the time he landed in Ozzy , utilizing classical elements in a Heavy band. He did none of this in Quiet Riot. Dee and Diary Of A Madman really stand out as RR new progressive classical style.
@Justin Ford I don't have to cite shit, Who the F%^K do you think you are ? QR only made it because of Randy. My band opened up for them in 1997, in a small bar in Binghamton, Carlos impressed me, none of the others did in fact they were the biggest assholes I'd ever met, next to Gene Simmons. I had the pleasure of opening for a lot of 'famous' bands, BOC, Rick Derringer, Warrant, LA Guns and QR just to name a few, nicest guy on the planet - Tracii Guns, we sat backstage & traded licks for almost an hour. He even let me play 1 of his '79 Dean Flying V's, while he played my Hamer Steve Stevens. The facts speak for themselves, QR was never going to get signed by a USA Label, until Randy made it big. 'Nuff said...
R I P Kevin sucks that this band is lost now was the true meaning of raw energy! & if randy was still around to do a reunion, or even do new material oh the fucking greatness they would bring!!!!!!!!
They completely left out that after Randy joined Ozzy, that Kevin changed the name of the band to "the Kevin Dubrow band", & only changed it back to Quiet Riot after Randy died & all the news outlets were publicising the name of the band that Ozzy had taken him from.
Rudy Sarzo actually says in his book that he called up Randy and Rudy, asking for their blessing to use the Quiet Riot name again instead of DuBrow, which he had been calling it since the original band split. Rudy joined shortly after he finished up with Ozzy and after Randy had died.
Aaron Conn You might want to double check that. After Randy died Rudy Sarzo was contacted by DuBrow to play on the tribute track "thunderbird"... it was only after those sessions that they decided to use the Quiet Riot name for the band. So there's no way that anyone called Randy to get his blessing, unless they were holding a seance.
Say what you will you tubers...but Quiet Riot, without Randy, rocked pretty damn hard. They were extremely tight and their shows were amazing. Obviously Randy is the legend but give them all their due. I never had the number one record in the world back in the 80's. And don't forget that Metal Health was number one when Michael Jackson had the Thriller album out there.
I stopped the vid at the 2 min mark when they glossed over the fact that Kelli Garni was an integral part of the evolution of the band. Not sure how many other inaccuracies there are in the vid because I don't watch lies.
Ha, a lot of Randy fans on here keepin' it real ....but seriously "they found the perfect guitarist in Carlo "....HA, Randy was a Mozart to Carlos' ....well Carlos. He stank. Great band though.
WTF? This video doesn't even mention Randy Rhoads (I assume edited out). As much as I don't want to say anything bad about Cavazo, because he's certainly a great player, the line about the "perfect cleanup hitter" and putting QR "over the top" come off as ridiculous when Randy isn't acknowledged at all. The misleading title makes this essentially click bait.
ya, a lot of the information is wrong, the original bass player Kelly Garni hated Kevin so much he quit right after recording QRII, so Rudy was hired for the tour and to appear on the album cover, also Randy being frustrated at the band not achieving national success went and auditioned for the Blizzard of Oz, and got the gig leaving QR to rot. So everybody quit leaving kevin on His own, he then started playing with Frankie and got a band together and just called it Dubrow. After Randy was killed Rudy came back and joined up with Kevin and Frankie, and hired Carlos and called it Quiet riot once again, and acheived commercial success from there.
Fongolitus they were in the middle of recording metal health when Rudy rejoined according to his book. Charles wright played on bang your head not rudy
My problem is Randy got Rudy in the band. Rudy moved to LA and heard about VH and tried to see him first but apparently the club was filled. So he ended up in another club and saw Randy and, according to Rudy, the two became immediate friends and Randy got him in QR.
To be honest I was always a huge RR fan, I had at least 20 posters on my wall of him. I remember hearing about him in Quiet Riot and got the album and it was kind of lack luster , basic rhythms and simple solo runs. No Dee , No Diary Of A Madman , Crazy Train, just simple rythm and blues riffs we all grew up practicing. Nothing really stood out. Randy obviously progressed immensely by the time he landed in Ozzy. Songs like Diary Of A Madman really showcased what RR brought to the table.
I remember when that video came out in the 80s, I like that song back then and still do. The title should have been mental health will drive you mad. People that have been on some prescription drugs know that they are a lot stronger than some street drugs and some will keep you stoned 24 hours a day. The 80s had some funny music videos, I've been on RUclips watching a lot of videos.
I think that why they didnt mention Randy was because that is NOT Carlos Cavazo... that is IN FACT Corey Feldman... and in typical CF fashion... he was trying to hog the lime light... again.
The only reason Quiet Riot got recognized was because of Randy Rhoads. After Randy joined Ozzy, suddenly they became somewhat noticeable. Randy even came back after recording the Blizzard Of Ozz album. he had a short "Vacation" and played with Q.R. Then Carlos came in from a band called Snow...Meaning cocaine. Keven always sucked as a singer. They had a one hit wonder. But, it was still the fact that randy use to play guitar with them. Their fame came from randy, period.
If you read correctly, I stated that Quiet Riot became somewhat noticeable, not Blizzard of Ozz. And Quiet Riot was placed high in rank only because they were a noticeable group that was all Randy Rhoads made the band. They always sucked without him.
Name the list of songs that were a hit on the radio. Just because they were placed high on the chart doesn't mean they were good. They had one popular song and it was elementary. No talent group of scumbags. My opinion.
Actually they had 4 songs on the 2 albums that got on the radio, well, 4 that I know of, and if they had no talent explain all the sold out shows, some people are just in denial because they want it to be that way so it is in their own little world, but in the real world Quiet Riot made it on their own merits all be it a short lived career but none the less they DID make it and stayed there for a couple years, hardly untalented. People that have to downplay others achievements are the ones with little or no life, Ridiculous.
Scottrick LaRoque Quiet Riot was one of the first bands to sign a record deal. after that the hairbands on the sunset strip were getting signed left and right
+Lee Burt I firmly believe that the ONLY reason that we don't have good Pro-Shot Ozzy/Randy DVD's is because Sharon is waiting for Delores Rhoads to die so she and Ozzy can have ALL the fucking money/proceeds.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, NO MENTION OF RANDY RHODES WHAT SO EVER. IT WAS HIS BAND. HOPE KEVIN DEBROW CAN REST IN PEACE SINCE HE DISRESPECTED ONE OF GREATEST GUITARISTS EVER.
+Bill Downey respect to you too , i was lucky enough to see Randy and Ozzy play their first gig together as Blizzard of Ozz at Glasgow Apollo in 1980 , it was electric !! best wishes .
CARAMBA, ADORO KEVIN DUBROW. ADORO ESSA BANDA . NÃO QUERO COLOCAR EM INGLÊS. PREGUIÇA. QUEM QUISER ENTENDER QUE TRADUZA PARA INGLÊS. SÓ SEI "THE BOOK IS ON THE TABLE. É ASSIM O POBRE NO BRASIL.
the title is miss leading! Randy has a very insignificant part of this Quiet Riot Record? You should seriously consider changing the title of the footage!
you have to have the voice to do a good front job in vocals..a great band behind you can be often eclipsed by the front man. just usually how it is in some cases..if Clapton goes on stage with other guitarists..they get eclipsed. Saw Clapton in 76-77 at the L.A. coliseum..that was mesmerizing..
Cavazo was underrated but Randy made the right decision as his work on Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman is legendary
Seeing any vid clips of Randy is awesome!! Randy is a Killer guitarist!!!!
+Joey Dang Not a killer guitarist. The BEST Rock guitarist EVER! :-)
Q: How many Ozzy fans does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: "Don't ask me, I don't know!!"
Dont know if you guys cares but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my brother during the lockdown xD
@Raylan Camden yup, have been watching on Instaflixxer for months myself =)
Awesome band, I grew up with listening to them.👍😝🤘🤘
Rest in peace Randy
Now Frankie is gone.
I saw them play a yr. before Kevin died at the Henderson Pavilion in Henderson, NV....still love this band....R.I.P. Kevin.....\m/
Randy rules...! Watching him play from 10 feet away all the time was astonishing. He just plain kicked ass! Kevin is actually wearing my white sailor cap in this clip. EVH and Randy, 2 of the greatest.
Randy is and always be the biggest badass in the guitar world! I have seen some fine guitarist but no one could duplicate his sound or free style. If I could have anything in the world, hands down, would be any of his guitars.

+James Yates Don't get too butt hurt over it. It's the way shit is.
pedraw i know, its still totally lame
+James Yates THANK YOU!!! I was beginning to think my whole life in appreciation and research of Randy was mutilated. Finally I found a comment from someone else that knows the REAL STORY
+Charles Kinghorn Anytime, its nice to find another fan on here who knows what's up.
omgjames yates you are so right
Let not bullshit here - Randy's stardom with Ozzy is the 1 & only reason Quiet Riot made it out of Hollywood - yeah I know they had Japanaze distributed albums & tours - Randy Rhoads made this band - even back in the LA Club days...
+Jeff Rogers Dude, don't get me started! lol I'm the biggest Rhoads freak on the planet :-) ♫
I didn't like Randy's playing in Quiet Riot compared to his Ozzy stuff. Not that it was bad , it was just everyday r&r riffs we all learned in guitar school etc.

Simply brilliant!
Randy rules Over and Out..1311....
R I P Kevin sucks that this band is lost now was the true meaning of raw energy! & if randy was still around to do a reunion, or even do new material oh the fucking greatness they would bring!!!!!!!!
Cool memories of Quiet Riot and Randy Rhoads.

You’re a fool. Randy was great, but to say that Carlos stank, dumb.

1978 !! Thats just 11 years after Jim Morrison and the Doors were the "house band " !?
My problem is Randy got Rudy in the band. Rudy moved to LA and heard about VH and tried to see him first but apparently the club was filled. So he ended up in another club and saw Randy and, according to Rudy, the two became immediate friends and Randy got him in QR.
Дюбров родом из Беларуси , эмигрант в Америку . Речица ждёт своего героя , хоть он уже и умер .

R.i.p kevin.......😢
and Frankie. RIP 🌹

TheAgentAssassin but his laughing gas solo showed what he was on his way to becoming it was basically a majority of the Ozzy album in a few minutes
Title of video "Randy Rhoads Quiet Riot". Randy is in the video. Was not even mentioned. Such a shame.
I remember when that video came out in the 80s, I like that song back then and still do. The title should have been mental health will drive you mad. funny when they first mention randy a pic of carlos is up
I think that why they didnt mention Randy was because that is NOT Carlos Cavazo... that is IN FACT Corey Feldman... and in typical CF fashion... he was trying to hog the lime light... again.
did anyone catch the frankie went to hollywood, i did lol
4:58 lol that's the exact same story as to how he joined RATT.
The only reason Quiet Riot got recognized was because of Randy Rhoads. After Randy joined Ozzy, suddenly they became somewhat noticeable. You say there's no point in arguing, then you start arguing again. Get a life.

Early eighties quiot riot
3:50 Gar Samuelson is that you!? XD
THUNDERBIRD flies !!!!
Really...there HAS to be some R.R. footage other than the few vids we see on here...
+Lee Burt I firmly believe that the ONLY reason that we don't have good Pro-Shot Ozzy/Randy DVD's is because Sharon is waiting for Delores Rhoads to die so she and Ozzy can have ALL the fucking money/proceeds.
Passed out holding a high c 😂😂😂
2:43 John Gibson of Fox News!
That wig tho. Lol.
geez, quiet riot has more footage than ozzy. maybe ozzy needed a business manager in the beginning.
Randy.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, NO MENTION OF RANDY RHODES WHAT SO EVER. IT WAS HIS BAND. HOPE KEVIN DEBROW CAN REST IN PEACE SINCE HE DISRESPECTED ONE OF GREATEST GUITARISTS EVER.
+Bill Downey i agree dude , but please spell Randys surname correctly , it's RHOADS
+ravensmead, very sorry. meant no disrespect to Randy.
+Bill Downey respect to you too , i was lucky enough to see Randy and Ozzy play their first gig together as
Blizzard of Ozz at Glasgow Apollo in 1980 , it was electric !! best wishes .
+ravensmead, must have been an amazing show.
+ravensmead Wow, pretty cool.
0:10 Have their debut hit #1?
"Metal Health" wasn't their debut, their first album was a self-titled album from 1977.
Why was Randy only referenced once? They had Japanese albums before American fame.
Randy was bearly mentioned
CARAMBA, ADORO KEVIN DUBROW. ADORO ESSA BANDA . NÃO QUERO COLOCAR EM INGLÊS. PREGUIÇA. QUEM QUISER ENTENDER QUE TRADUZA PARA INGLÊS. SÓ SEI "THE BOOK IS ON THE TABLE. É ASSIM O POBRE NO BRASIL.
Wow. Whoever the person was who wrote than thing about what a GARAGE BAND was, needs a beating.
I met these guys in 1984 nicest guys. Except banalli he was quite the dick, rock star (not). But i see now he was fron nyc, that explains a lot
And where you from Mike? Bananli was the man !
Maybe their first album with Carlos went to number one but the RR albums (I got both) were not ready for prime time!
There are a few full shows of them with Randy in the late 90's. Thia ia so weak compared to those, quality maybe better, I'll give you that!
I doubt that, Randy Rhodes died in 1982.
I meant late 70's! My bad. lol
As they said Randy started the band then cut to Sarzo - taking credit for it?! WTF
i'm so glad randy went with ozzy over QR. They're not terrible, but I don't think Randy would have shined as much playing in a "pop metal" band.
--but why the hell were they playing all these Slade songs??? Slade did it quite good themselves.... Hes voice did sound like Noddys.....
DKDonson if I'm not mistaken they only did two Slade songs and I think that had more to do with thier producer than them
i love quiet riot, but they ripped off slade so bad.lol
they barely said anything about Randy in this video
Just like Austin S said hardly any mention of R.R. What a joke!
Quiet Riot got famous ripping off Slade songs.
***** many people don't know that a big chunk of their hits were Slade's first..
the title is miss leading! Randy has a very insignificant part of this Quiet Riot Record? You should seriously consider changing the title of the footage!

Sound and Video remind me of those bad Japanese movies with everything out of sync, lol
Well now...that just sucked!!!
godfathers? really?
where is randy???😠
Randy randy randy...get over it. Not a doc about him.
最後w
Remove all the pop-ups, it is fucking distracting!
Rudy and Randy are the only good things that came out of this band. Kevin, Carlos and the rest....big joke.
***** Why is Carlos "awesome".
Paraglidermx carlos is not an awesome guitarist and could never be compared to randy.
I like Carlos.
I clicked to hear about Rhodes. . Not some "flash in the pan" band story like take the money and run quiet riot.
QUIET RIOT SUCKS
For some reason, an ugly singer doing covers is not what made them
they sucked.
