    For anyone interested, I have developed my own personal method for drawing realistic portraits.
    Step 1. Very carefully sketch the outline.
    Step 2. Give up and cry.

Isn't it weird how you can be one of the greatest most loved person on this world, and still feel like your nothing... life is one sick cruel thing, but the most important thing to do is take something sick and make it better.

    I'm an art lover and to see something like this is absolutely mesmerizing. I am blessed with music talents and not art so I am FLOORED when I see something like this. In fact, let me state this: It takes an artistic GENIUS to construct something that is not "similar" or "approximately" capturing the very essence of that person but nailing it with pin-point accurate almost photographic representation. It's a gift from the creator who wired her brain to be able to translate that pencil or paint brush into a portrait masterpiece! I downloaded the and show it to my friends!

    Heather, once again your talent is amazing. What a lovely tribute to Robin Williams. He was truly a national treasure. evangus everyone is a sinner. So what? He had talent and made us all smile. Maybe you should think about what you said! The world lost one of its funniest people. Anyway, do you have talent like his or Heather's. This death struck the world, leave us in peace. And also if you're talking about religious things, please don't cuss.

      evangus I agree to TheBronyRobloxGamerGirl :
      Everyone is a sinner. And amongst others talking so badly about deceased people or about people in general make you be a sinner, too. Don't judge other people for things they've done considering you're not even better. Jesus said:" He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone […]"(8th chapter of John). And if Robin accepted Jesus as his saviour, and therefore I pray, then he's redeemed. And for you I wish the same and that you won't judge people because now you know you're a sinner like we all and try to make the people laugh in your surrounding field (And I guess you can do this not a quarter as good as Robin Williams did.)

    Did anyone else just sit there and think about all of the films he was in? Such as Hook, Jamanji, Who's line is it anyway, and solo much more. Sometimes j forget that he's gone, and then when I do forget, and then remember I just cry. I think you can ask anyone IN THE WORLD what kind of man Robin was, and how it effected their lives and they would all say: he was a very funny man, and he taught me, never to give up, and that sometimes, we can be silly and no one has to grow up. Also that no one has to be mature like everyone expects them to. When I first saw robin, In my mind I was like: oh this guy? He's probably a very serious actor and takes his work seriously, but of course I was dead wrong. I KNOW exactly how his voice is, and it just makes me laugh and cry At the same time.

    “Robin Williams didn’t die from suicide. I only just heard the sad, sad news of Robin Williams’s death. My girl sent me a message to tell me he had died, and, when I asked her what he died from, she told me something that nobody in the news seems to be talking about.
    When people die from cancer, their cause of death can be various horrible things - seizure, stroke, pneumonia - and when someone dies after battling cancer, and people ask “How did they die?”, you never hear anyone say “pulmonary embolism”, the answer is always “cancer”. A Pulmonary Embolism can be the final cause of death with some cancers, but when a friend of mine died from cancer, he died from cancer. That was it. And when I asked my wife what Robin Williams died from, she, very wisely, replied “Depression”.
    The word “suicide” gives many people the impression that “it was his own decision,” or “he chose to die, whereas most people with cancer fight to live.” And, because Depression is still such a misunderstood condition, you can hardly blame people for not really understanding. Just a quick search on Twitter will show how many people have little sympathy for those who commit suicide…
    But, just as a Pulmonary Embolism is a fatal symptom of cancer, suicide is a fatal symptom of Depression. Depression is an illness, not a choice of lifestyle. You can’t just “cheer up” with depression, just as you can’t choose not to have cancer. When someone commits suicide as a result of Depression, they die from Depression - an illness that kills millions each year. It is hard to know exactly how many people actually die from Depression each year because the figures and statistics only seem to show how many people die from “suicide” each year (and you don’t necessarily have to suffer Depression to commit suicide, it’s usually just implied). But considering that one person commits suicide every 14 minutes in the US alone, we clearly need to do more to battle this illness, and the stigmas that continue to surround it. Perhaps Depression might lose some its “it was his own fault” stigma, if we start focussing on the illness, rather than the symptom. Robin Williams didn’t die from suicide. He died from Depression*. It wasn’t his choice to suffer that.”
    Depression is a terrible disease. It's not often visible, and that's its danger. Ask someone if they're suffering from depression and they'll never say, "Why, yes I am.", it's more subtle than that. They'll tell you "I feel fine, never better!", but that's just the disease talking. Some depressives commonly self-medicate with alcohol and/or drugs to mask the pain. That only compounds the problem. It is critical to recognize the signs of depression, sleeping disturbances, prolonged periods of sadness, social withdrawal, poor eating habits, abandonment of hobbies, lack of energy, feelings of hopelessness and negativity. You and your friends need to gather around a person experiencing these symptoms and take them seriously. You need to get them into a proper treatment program, don't just slap 'em on the back and tell them they'll be OK. They won't.
    Despite all Robin Williams' success in making others laugh, he was a broken man inside. With competent professional treatment, maybe he could have been saved, but as with so many celebrities, he didn't have enough present friends who would risk their relationship by getting him the care he needed. His death proves that even clowns do cry - and too often they die.
    If someone were to die at the age of 63 after a lifelong battle with MS or Sickle Cell, we’d all say they were a “fighter” or an “inspiration.” But when someone dies after a lifelong battle with severe mental illness and drug addiction, we say it was a tragedy and tell everyone “don’t be like him, please seek help.” That’s bullshit. Robin Williams sought help his entire life. He saw a psychiatrist. He quit drinking. He went to rehab. He did this for decades. That’s HOW he made it to 63. For some people, 63 is a fucking miracle. I know several people who didn’t make it past 23 and I’d do anything to have 40 more years with them.

      @jrsoares3074 9 лет назад +6

      +Divaliciousbeauty123 , There are some few points you have to follow for this:
      1: the paper texture (choose the right paper, and then you have halfway done).
      2: Underlayer - less pressure and angle (the lower the angle of the pencil and softer the pressure, more evident will be the paper texture when you do the underlayer).
      3: Add details - Once you have done the base of the skin (underlayer) add the details in evidence on the source picture, like small wrinkles, freckles, etc.
      4: Remember, each artist has an own style, and perfectionism level. The more detail oriented, patient, and delicate you are with your work, more realistic it will be.

    • @Kaziklu
      @Kaziklu 10 лет назад

      coloured pencils.
      A Printer printing out a Photography uses ink in a pattern to place it in a manner to reproduce information sent to it by a Computer.
      In this case she did the same thing using coloured pencils to add the texture. It's not done often because it is time consuming as a human is slower then a printer.

    • @kryzia-just
      @kryzia-just 10 лет назад +2

      prismacolor colored pencils!

    • @sth128
      @sth128 10 лет назад +11

      Well, as the pencil core comes into contact with the paper, friction causes the graphite (or colored wax, depending on pencil) to detach and adhere to the paper surface. As the number of pencil strokes increased, additional areas of the paper become covered with pencil shedding.
      Light hits the paper and different frequencies are absorbed by the surface depending on the presence of ink and what is reflected enters the camera lens. The image is captured by the CCD (charge coupled device, a light sensor essentially) of the camera and recorded into memory. The memory is interpreted by the computer as a digital signal that is then compressed and processed and uploaded onto this RUclips channel.
      And that's how the texture got here like that with colored pencils.

Either way, it's AMAZING

    • @UKCALLING99
      @UKCALLING99 9 лет назад +5

      Unfortunately it's not enough just to want to be able to draw like that, it's a talent that you're born with. You might go to a school and learn so much and be fairly decent at what you want to do, but the best in the world at anything in life, are born with a gift that they have nurtured.

    • @10snoozie
      @10snoozie 9 лет назад

      You can become this good but you have to investing time and money into it. Draw every day for hours, and make sure that you have high quality art supplies. Trust me I know, it took me years to get better. The other day my professor told me I was already good enough to be teaching his class, and I was horrible at it for the first 18 years of my life.

    • @UKCALLING99
      @UKCALLING99 9 лет назад +1

      nope its born talent. clearly the artist has learnt many skills that she wasn't born with but like i already said you must nurture that talent. I also don't agree about the money part of your comment. High quality art supplies don't make artists. there are people in the world that have never been to an art school and have the most basic tools but could put alot of your classmates to shame.

    • @10snoozie
      @10snoozie 9 лет назад +1

      Well no one uses basic supplies... We use what we are instructed to buy. And no it doesn't make the artist but it will help you excel. When you work with the best you will grow as an artist at a much faster rate. Natural talent will only take you so far. And I know this because of my life... Work ethic is more valuable than talent any day. Some people will use natural talent as a crutch and it will lead to dead ends. Practice inspires growth. Saying "it's all due to natural talent" will hold so many artist back. Like anything else practice makes perfect. And even the artist on here uses good quality media... Because it helps you accomplish what you want. Btw all the people I know who have natural talent and didn't work there butts off to get better, still have the same style and didn't grow and get better. Now if you have natural talent and you work your butt off, kudos. But don't hold back others using the line "natural talent makes a good artist"
