- I am happy to share with you my complete colored pencil drawing, titled 𝘈𝘳𝘪𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘢 𝘖𝘥𝘺𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘺. This drawing was inspired by my love for southwestern culture and the natural beauty of the desert mountains. I referenced a photo taken by my favorite western photographer Ben Christensen, and in the background I drew a mountain from a photograph I took during a trip to Sedona.

Heather I have watched your work for 5 or 6 years now, basically since I started art. Your ability, hard work ethic and talent is simply phenomenal. I should imagine that over the years, you have inspired so many people to pick up the Colored pencil medium and give it ago.
When I tell people that I draw with Colored pencils you can see their faces almost look upon me with putty as if to say, “you do understand you are not a real artist, you are using children’s art supplies” However when people with those misconceptions see your work, they are dumbstruck. I’ve often took my phone out and shown your work to people who’ve made such comments and had to go a step further and show them a video of the art come together as they never believe your work was completed using Colored pencils.
I think Heather you and so many other wonderful Colored pencil artist have really turned this medium we love so much into the serious medium it is, changed perceptions. You are truly amazing

I counted 6 changes of fingernails during the process of drawing this piece of Art. I like how she usually has her nails in the same color scheme as the drawing she is working on!! Also beautiful work on the braids, that must have taken quite a bit of time!! Beautiful Drawing from a Beautiful Lady!!!

Amazing... How she demostrate how to make different texture using colored pencil. I just couldn't imagine how long she made it the pencil she is using is my dream tool luminance this pencil cost an arm and a leg in my country now i know why.
