I have a pair of these Dune Diesel's and they are my second pair of GS boots. It is super nice for the price. My first pair is my Ottawa's. I love GS's boots regardless of the style. They are Alden quality boots for a discount. I used some saphir renovator to condition the boots and now they look like shell boots.
Thanks for watching. Yes, I own a large number of Grant Stone boots and shoes. They really are an incredible value for the money and hold up great over time. Thursday’s are good entry level boots. There are some very nice materials there for the price point that they are. Their demographic is different than that of Grant Stone, so in my opinión, both are good for what they are.
Great video and awesome looking boots. Thanks for sharing. Here is a good one for you. I wear a 9.5 EE in Ron rangers, 10D in the 1907, a 10 EE in Thursday boots, and 10EEE in Allen Edmonds.i am a almost 10 and EE in the brannock device. I wonder what size I should go with in the Diesel boots? Thanks
Leo last that Diesel and Ottawa boot are built on is a generous and wider fitting last than #8 last of Iron Rangers for sure. With that in mind, and given that you appear to have wider feet, I’d def recommend having a conversation with Grant Stone fit specialist before ordering, if possible. Thank you for watching and commenting, Victor. I do continuously strive to improve my video making skills. Haha I believe, the watch on my wrist in this one is Times Waterbury. Here’s the link: www.timex.com/standard-chronograph-41mm-leather-strap-watch/Standard-Chronograph-41mm-Leather-Strap-Watch.html?dwvar_Standard-Chronograph-41mm-Leather-Strap-Watch_color=Silver-Tone-Tan-Blue&cgid=men-chrono
Thanks for watching and commenting. I personally wear a full size down from Brannock in Iron Rangers, as I find them to run long and narrow. Grant Stone Leo last has ample room in the toe box area, but is also wider in the forefoot/ ball area. Other factors include what kind of socks you prefer with your boots- I like to give myself a little bit of room if I throw on a thicker pair in the cooler months of the year. I would strongly encourage you to call their fit line and speak with Randy about your feet and how you like shoes to fit: (269) 363-2488. In my opinion, given that you’re more in the narrow side, you could go with a 10D and see how it works out for you. Grant Stone is good about hassle- free returns; just be sure to try boots (especially if you opt to go with leather sole option) on a carpet, or utilize the wrapping cloth they provide in their box. You can lace them up and see how they fit. If too big, you can always generate your own return label on their site and send them back for a different size. First pair is always tricky, but once you get it, it’s a lot easier to navigate future orders.
@@olegkaderly5638 Great review. I tried to get in touch with the company regarding the sizing question today. Unfortunately, I only received a partial response on FB messenger (they must have been busy today). However, based on a few reviews, I went ahead and ordered anyway. I usually wear 8D in Allen Edmond boots and dress shoes, and a 7.5D in Thursday boots. From what I gather about the GS Leo last, I should go down a full size from Allen Edmonds and a half size down from Thursday. So, that is what I did and I order a 7D. Hopefully, the boots will fit fine, if not I'll do an exchange.
@@cuyyang in my experience, Allen Edmonds footwear runs true to size. So, I would say going half size down from your standard Brannock measurement should be adequate. But then again, so much of it truly depends on your feet volume and width. First order is always the most tricky one, but everything after is much more straightforward. Best of luck to you!
DUNE CXL is SO GOOD!!!
Yes, indeed! They are my go-to’s for virtually any occasion!

Are the dunes light color they look a little dark but not to dark I don't want them to light . They look nice .
Huge fan of GS. Big step up from Thursday in my opinion.

Great review I have a pair arriving tomorrow!
Hello from summerfield fl. Thanks for video.
Thank you for watching, hope it was helpful!
Interesting you went a whole size down on these and a 1/2 size down on Earth. I guess you decided 9 would be a better fit.

@@olegkaderly5638 thank you for the reply. I will give them a call.
I wear a 11/44 and in Grant Stone I’m a 10 EEE.
They make some of the best boots in the world! And I have to many of them! Lol!
James- that is so true! I own 4 pairs of Grant Stones and love them dearly! Great quality at a reasonable price!
Great review and great boots. Also may I ask what watch you are wearing?

Great purchase! I have 3 pairs.
Thanks for checking out this review! I am up to 3 pairs of Diesel boot and 2 pair of Ottawa’s.
@@olegkaderly5638 review them bro 😎
My brannock size is around a 10.5 C (which is somewhat narrow) but usually wear a D. I wear a 9.5 D in iron rangers so what size would you recommend?

Will they lose their shine if you let them?
