I think they both were just having fun (or well, Taylor tried to?). I think people like to fantasize about Tom being so in love, but to me he seemed even more in love with all the attention the relationship was getting. It all seemed very staged, I don't think it was a PR stunt but it seems like they did a lot of stuff to shock the media.

Jake seems okay really. I feel like they just had very different ideas of what the relationship was. Also the “if we were closer in age maybe it would’ve been fine” line in ATW10MV actually makes me feel better about him because he acknowledged that that age difference wasn’t working. He also doesn’t have a distinct pattern of dating younger women like John has. He’s dated people older, younger, same age. I’m not getting groomer from him, I’m getting just dates who he connects with from him. Also the way he didn’t lash out about her writing about the relationship, in fact complemented her directly about how he thought it was beautiful and it was like going through a photo album, shows his level of class and care. John is just a flaming sack of garbage for the way he behaves towards women.
What about Taylor gets older but his lovers stay her age 👀 I don't think Jake is or was a terrible dude at any point, and he definitely has class, but I think specifically with his relationship with Taylor and how he treated her he was a bit of a dick and I feel that's maybe why all too well 10 is a little more openly scathing whereas the og was emotional but didn't make him look bad. I get it was originally 10 minutes and they cut it down but I wouldn't believe for a second that she didn't alter and edit the lyrics a lot still for what we know atw10. Sometimes it takes some time for you to be able to look back and rather than just being sad or blaming yourself you see it with a wider lense and realize the other person actually did do some shitty things, especially when there was an age gap and she was so young at the time!
@@shelleygoodwin6371 that line just doesn’t seem accurate when you research who he’s dated. Older, younger, same age… it’s all over the place. That could be said more about someone like John Mayer who has mostly dated people significantly younger than him.

Actually, Taylor has given us plenty of lyrical clues that she and Joe had a very short breakup back when they first started seeing each other. Her going out with Tom Hiddleston was almost certainly her intention to make Joe jealous. Put into that perspective, DBATC as well as The 1 all deal with this short breakup.
Honestly that sounds very probable. Even though I thought the Hiddleswift summer happened because she needed a rebound after the Calvin Harris bullshit train and then she broke up with Tom to get with Joe. But maybe she had already had a fling with Joe before Hiddlewift. 🤷♀️

I did a song analysis cross referenced with her other media outlets such as PR articles, magazine essays, interviews (lukayl.tumblr.com/post/647229566003412992/the-mega-timeline-scientific-study-of-taylor-swift) and am convinced they hooked up in early June, but they broke up because he had someone else, so she was heartbroken and decided to rebound with Tom. I also think that the Rhode Island Kissing-on-the-rock pic wasn't her idea, as she only wanted to rebound quietly, but once they were found out, she decided to make the best of a bad situation and tried to get Joe jealous.
Maybe not a real breakup- they may have started up as having good feelings towards each other like crushes, not really going out yet, and then she got unsure about getting serious so stepped back awhile before being brave and drove forward

I think Taylor got the worst end of the Haylor relationship. Directioners were all delusional , they were plane rude to her. And they refuse to acknowledge the relationship till date, and actually believe in Larry😂, so much so it drove Harry and Louis apart.
He's definitely the 1 that got away. Also God knew if they were together, they would have been too powerful.
Harry and Taylor had a short relationship. He ended it and Taylor had hopes for going back but Harry moved on right after. He dated many girls and had no desire for her but Taylor when she liked guys especially she liked Harry can't move on until she has to. Same with Joe Alwyn. She finally saw that he did not go for all of her. In a long ago interview she said to an interviewer that if a guy was cute, she did not think if that guy was a good guy, that she went for looks and said she wants him not even thinking if he would want her but went for him. Hopefully she learned and at 34 years old, I hope she learned that you should want a guy who wants you back and that sometimes it won't work out and sometimes it will and both could be good people but not meant to be. And you move on. With Harry he does not like to and it seems he won't write songs that are mean to a girl he dated. His true love was Camille Rowe and she broke up with him after they lived together and he blamed it on himself. She moved on and went back to France right after she left, got another boyfriend but Harry and her kept in touch by phone only and he wrote many songs about her, mainly how he screwed up. But Camille did move on and is very happy since she moved out of his home years ago. The key for happiness is to move on. Eventually a person meets the one right for them. Usually.

I actually think "The One" was about Jake. She continuously references Jake even in her newer songs like how she thought love was "burning red but it's golden". She also mentioned something about "digging up the grave another time" in the One and she talks about how they were "3 months in the grave" in ATW (but then again, this vid was made prior to the 10 minute version).
I always thought Haylor felt more sexually charged than anything but his song "Him" (which I truly believe is about Taylor) kinda makes me think it was deeper than that maybe idk.

Just came across this video and loved it! Oh Haylor! Love them so much. Both so talented,so kind,so amazing...I think they got together at a wrong time- they were both young(specially Harry-the men maturing later than women thing),all the media attention,scrutiny,the fans didn't help(Harry got his part of hate from swifties too)..It just didn't work out,it's a shame but such is life I guess. Also,since you've mentioned songs H wrote about Taylor: Two Ghosts. There was one performance,Late Late Show with James Corden in London(he performed it on a rooftop), omg I cried. Stan them both.

Not sure if someone already commented this, pretty sure someone has bc I haven't read the comments yet, but during the promotion of RED Taylor's Version, she actually confirmed herself that the "red scarf" was actually just a metaphor this whole time 😂 Who knows if she modified the meaning to appeal more to her matured outlook on the whole situation and took the opportunity to deepen the significance of it, or simply as a way to clear up the misconceptions and bombarding interrogations Jake's poor sister had thrown at her about whether or not the scarf was real 😂 Either way, it was a smart choice to announce to the public that put the whole thing to rest lmao

And to think I was going to suggest that you make a video explaining why it's messed up for "fans" or as I see them STANS (I mean this in a negative way STAN isn't a positive thing just ask Eminem) to be PUBLICLY dissecting Taylor's songs & who they're about considering she's mentioned in Miss Americana & interviews how much it bothers her & she doesn't want it to be the main focus.
I just get annoyed AF every time an album comes out & there's 10+ videos in my feed trying to figure out who the songs are about. Considering it bothers her I'm not sure why "fans" would do that. Especially since it pushes the media more to follow suit.
IMO part of being a fan is respecting the artists wishes.
I saw a reaction video to Folklore where these 2 girls are screaming like insanely loud every few lyrics & pausing to figure out who it's about. I don't think Taylor wants her music to be reduced to tabloids in music form....
