I’m sorry but if all of these critics sat down and actually watched every Godzilla film ever made, saw their plot structures, their human characters, the kaiju’s personalities over the course of the films, they would have a better understanding of how the Godzilla franchise actually works instead of having a pre-conceived notion of the franchise just over watching one film and we all know what *that film* is (cough “the original” cough) If they understood the franchise they would quickly realise that this is one of the best in the whole damn series, even up there with Shin. For a Godzilla film, the human characters are fine and I don’t get why some critics think the plot is overtly ridiculous or “hard to follow” because it’s fairly simple and so what if character motivations are on thin ice sometimes, we as humans are very fickle ourselves and can change motivations at a drop of a hat at times. The plot itself is perfectly fine and drives the film forwards to its climax with the only criticism you can honestly give it being the forced humour when really if they kept it down, the humans would be better for it. Honestly they aren’t the worst humans, if you really want the worst human plot ever, go watch All Out Monsters Attack, the English dub of Destroy All Monsters or Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, then your minds will be broken if you think this is a bad film. Why cry? When this score rolled up in the theaters I was bouncing with excitement and giddiness, I felt like a 4 year old watching Godzilla vs Gigan (my first godzilla movie) for the first time. This was such a respectful nod to Godzilla and Ifukube
The problem is that critics tend to rate a movie in comparison to other genres, rather than rating it based on how well it captures the best essence of its own genre. To put this into perspective, it's like giving Looney Tunes a 4/10 for not having realistic character development, and then giving The Walking Dead a 4/10 for not having constant witty humor. Spectacles should be rated on their spectacle, just as a drama should be rated on its drama, or a comedy its comedy, etc. What's the point of having different genres, if we want to narrow down creativity into specific fundamentals? I don't read H.P. Lovecraft expecting a romantic comedy.
Can't even believe that we've gotten something like this. It's amazing that we got a movie given this utmost respect and care to the original source material.

@@Ijustnormalboy you got that right
@BillCipherfan1234 when I watched Godzilla KOTM, the movie was really cool, terrifying, and looked very realistic
@@Ijustnormalboy I honestly don't understand the score it got on Rotten Tomatoes
@@BillCipherfan1234 same
Honestly, Ghidorah's theme makes the character scarier than it actually is.
That's how well composed it was.
映像とBGMが合いすぎてGODZILLAが登場したときはもう泣きながら「きたァー」って思った、後モスラが綺麗過ぎて泣いたもうほとんど泣いた
what?

Oh my god. This soundtracks is colossal. I really want to hear the score when it hit theaters
my ears bleed when i watched this movie

I can not, be the only one tearing up with a nostalgia nuke.
Dammit, got something in my eyes...
Who's cutting onions!!!!.........
You're not the only one!!
My eyes are stinging, and now there is leaking pouring from them down my cheeks
Why cry? When this score rolled up in the theaters I was bouncing with excitement and giddiness, I felt like a 4 year old watching Godzilla vs Gigan (my first godzilla movie) for the first time. This was such a respectful nod to Godzilla and Ifukube
The soundtrack for the movie is amazing. I have parts of it on my playlist constantly for work.
The soundtrack for this movie would be perfect for a live action movie of "Brandy and Mr Whiskers" 😊.
I work out so hard to this soundtrack
I love it when two cultures hold hands and create something epic and timeless like these songs.
2014 godzilla "Too many humans" the critics said
2019 godzilla "Too many monsters" the critics said
critics are out of touch with audiences
Critics need to go away. They are not needed.
Force Of Legend except for me
Don't worry I know what I'm talking about
Fuck critics
Critics don’t realize we’re going to these movies *for* the monsters...
Here's to Bear coming back for more on Godzilla vs. Kong! 🍷
Raptorcloak I hope King and God make alliance to defeat new or neo Ghidorah
@@soidcore7841Join the club.
@@soidcore7841 I'm assuming we will get Khaiser Ghidorah, or maybe just maybe, Mecha-King Ghidorah

There better be tons more behind the scenes stuff on the score when the Blu-ray comes out!
Can't wait.
KOTM to this date has the best OST of all the Monsterverse Movies.
It respected every single monster and respected the legacy of Ifukube.
Can't even believe that we've gotten something like this. It's amazing that we got a movie given this utmost respect and care to the original source material.
PLEEEEEAAAASSSEEE keep Bear McCreary for all future Godzilla films!!!!
He makes everyone who heard the late Ifukube Akira’s music proud.
I work as a cleaner in cinema and i need to be there on time so i can watch, everyday i heard godzilla song and i love it.
My favourite scene when mothra came from sky and it is the most beautiful lighting ever i saw.
Mothra roaring also made me goosebumps...🤩
Im a full grown man with a beard and who used to play collegiate sports. I like to think Im decently tough.. but the second that Mothra score came on, I started tearing up like a damn child all over again. AMAZING audio design in this movie.
Bear honestly did such a knockout job at capturing the essence of each monster with his soundtrack. Each one is so memorable. I think Ifukube would be proud if he heard what Bear came up with.
Coming back from GvK. I still think this was the superior soundtrack.
I'm Japanese.I can’t thank USA enough.
Your welcome bro it was the least we could do for y’all
And a thanks to Mexico?
Alejandro Lizarraga yea y’all to
Gotta give Japan credit to I mean they did start this
👌
My god there is no other song like the Godzilla soundtrack it’s a work of art I praise down to those who made the music
Soundtrack made by japanese artist is always the best they included more variety of instrument from east and west world. Thats why the copyright of the music is hella strict.
"My god" zilla!!!!!!
i love how the soundtracks just made these titans looks big
i dont even know what im talking about
yes
1:05 I like this song
BROOOOO, for me koTM with Mike dougherty as the director and Bear Mccreary as music compouser is really a perfect match ever, bro bring us soooo many memories of classic godzilla with modernzation version and its beautiful, back there in theater 2019 i cried when i heard Mothra theme and stuning when i heard Ghidorah as main villain and freezing during rodan attack scene. the movie is really fan service without doubt. 100/100
Akira Ifukube would be so proud right now. :,)
I'm sure he is :)
Up there with Honda.. they are proud..
I have never bought a movie soundtrack before. This will be my first.....
Already pre-ordered the soundtrack CD 😎🎶
カッコいい!!!!!般若心経いれるアイデアがすごいと思う

1:14 BEST PART OF RODAN THEME
I liked my own comment cuz no one will 🙃
Yeah it was soooo COOL!!!!!!
King Ghidora's music is great, it shows all the fear from
f*cking goosebumps and DAMN THOSE BUDDHIST CHANTS makes my skin crawls!!!!!!!

凄いアメリカ版でもありハリウッド版の2代目ゴジラのBGM集に祭りの人やお寺のおしょうさん達の念仏を使ってやるなんて凄いです。👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤✨🌟⭐😳😯😆
Give this man an Oscar...👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼... Powerful score
Clayton Rga at least a nomination
Hell, they didn't gave a nomination to Jerry Goldsmith's Japanese ethnic score of a masterpiece to Tora! Tora! Tora!...
I bought the digital version in hi res, Bear McCreary did an awesome job with this masterpiece, bringing us the real essence of the Godzilla Universe.
Whatever happen in Godzilla vs Kong later, Bear McCreary will always be in my mind when I think about Godzilla. He do a great service to the film. His rendition of Mothra theme really spot on.
I could literally hear the twin fairies' singing in my head during Mothra's theme.
Love the new themes for Rodan and Ghidorah!
HENRY HSI CHEN I was disappointed at first because they didn’t remade Ifukube’s versions; but honestly, now... I think I actually prefer the new ones.👀
@@Varfair Blame TOHO for not giving bear mcreary the rodan and ghidorah.
@@Varfair Ditto! Their new themes really grow on me!
@Delta Nest I think they are new themes!
Adrian Steven Din I was mad at first but honestly I love the new themes so much that I don’t mind.
This soundtrack was well executed in every way. Brilliantly down. Perfect for the theme songs for each titan and situation. I love hearing the Japanese chants in certain scenes. It's one part of why I had to go see it twice in theaters. Really drew out the emotions throughout the entire movie. I appreciate the heard work put into this so, so much!!!
Masterpiece❤ still listening to this after 4.5 years

監督と音楽監督のゴジラ愛を感じます。お坊さんたちとソイヤ!の連の人たちには一生の思い出になったでしょうね。
Anyone get teary listening to Mothra's Song?
me
I know right it’s so beautiful
@Tobias R Ziegler We probably have Mothra Leo somewhere more in the Legendary Kaijiu universe. Mothra had to have laid an egg before aiding Godzilla against Rodan and King Ghidorah.
When the Mothra theme played ,while she was hatching from her cocoon, brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Bear, for a phenomenal music score!
They better give Bear an Oscar because his soundtrack is amazing!
Honestly this is AMAZING. I love hearing this soundtracks
The soundtrack in this movie is just Awesome!!! Really pulls you in to every major moment. Thank you Bear McCreary!! Brilliant job!
Such an epic soundtrack. Brought back so much nostalgia, hearing the original themes revamped, bringing their best to the new age while also adding an amazing and almost poetic twist to it. You have my respect, everyone who worked their butts off to make this epic music.
This is secretly a Dethklok album:
00:47 - Brian Beller
00:48 - Brendon Small
01:00 - Gene Hoglan
Also, Bear did the orchestrations for Metalocalypse - Doomstar Requiem: A Klok Opera
I was so happy when I found out that Gene
was involved in there. I know it's gonna be awesome.
I love him because Individual Thought Patterns/Symbolic
Bear, you're a mastermind of music! Akira Ifukube will be proud.
Bear mccreary.....the single greatest composer I’ve ever heard
Thanks for bringing back and giving life to the OG music and theme ...the best
Adding original main title in battle of boston is sick man.. I cant stop to smile during the moment.. Thank you..
I was bouncing like a little kid when this score rolled up and Godzilla and the military did that badass shot right before fighting Ghidorah. This movie was TRULY a respectful as fuck nod to Godzilla and Ifukube
