I truly appreciate this video. I was recently diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases plus some other chronic illnesses and I have had to slow down immensely. I bought a lap desk for yesterday and got a wedge a few weeks ago and a heating pad. Just accommodating for bad days. I’m a homeschooler and I do workshops online as well and my life has needed many accommodations. This video had many pointers and gave me permission to make my life easier without shame.
Love this so much ! i became a teacher because i hate sitting yet i hate standing ! lol I can sit at my desk and elevate my feet at my desk when i feel like it. at home i sit in my bed and do my work ! so relatable.
Sitting with feet on the floor... I have Lipolymphodema and I'm in the process of being diagnosed for HEDS and POTS and associated comorbidities. Feet on the floor, or even a stool, is EXCRUCIATING. I start the day with puffy but essentially normal looking and feeling feet. I end the day wit painfully tight shoes even with compression, and the skin on my legs feels like it's dipped in boiling water. The swelling then puts huge pressure on my joints and my toes/knees/hips start to sublux. IT'S FUN!!! 😬
I'm thinking about buying a motorized bed and purple mattress like you, but I'm concerned that because you're not sitting up all the way it might hurt your back. What is your experience?
This is a great idea! The closest I've gotten to this topic before is this video: ruclips.net/video/w_RCaFCMpgI/видео.html Will add your idea to my list 💖
Which part of my spoonie-friendly office setup is your favorite?

So proud of you for accommodating yourself! 💖
I love how you care for yourself and your body.
Thank you! ❤️ It's taken me so long to get here, and it feels so good to share what I've learned.

You seem like you would be such a great person to be friends with, you're so nice!!!
Thanks 🤗
The bumpers to stop the mouse falling is simple yet game changing for me. I'm using that this week.
It also doubles as a cushion for my wrist! Hope it helps you. 😊
Thanks for this.
It looks like typing would be uncomfortable with that setup. Anyway being able to see the whiteboard is my favorite

It's not ideal for my joints, unfortunately. But my POTS is bad enough that it's a price I'm willing to pay.
Duuuude can you discuss making a living or not being guilty for accepting financial help

For some reason the audio and video are completely out of sync. Maybe you want to check that out.
That's not the case for me. Maybe RUclips or your internet connection is glitchy right now?
@@CassieWinter Oh you're right! It's working now though. Glad there was no problem. :D
