- How I got Shiny Greninja in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet! In Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, Greninja is a Tera Raid Exclusive Event Pokémon that is available for a Limited Time. You can only get Shiny Greninja in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet by breeding a Shiny Froakie and evolving Shiny Froakie into Shiny Greninja. Unfortunately, you can't get a Marked Shiny Greninja through breeding so can't get a Shiny Greninja The Unrivaled and Froakie, Frogadier, and Greninja won't be registered to the PokéDex in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet so Froakie, Frogadier, and Greninja are Special Pokémon. I wanted to see what Shiny Greninja looks like in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet so I hatched eggs for Shiny Froakie to evolve into Shiny Frogadier and Shiny Greninja, to hatch a Shiny Froakie I used the Masuda Method with the Shiny Charm to increase the Shiny Odds for a Shiny Scorbunny Hatch! Currently, this Shiny Hunt can be really hard in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet and I'm so happy I got Shiny Froakie, Shiny Frogadier, and Shiny Greninja in my Shiny Dex. The next time we get another Limited Special Tera Raid Event Pokémon for another Exclusive Pokémon I will Shiny Hunt this Limited Exclusive Pokémon as well! This Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Shiny Reaction includes The Shiny Froakie Hatch and Evolution to Shiny Frogadier and Shiny Greninja!

For some stupid reason I got my shiny greninja. We raided greninja, beat him but didn’t like he nature so I decided to breed it. My first egg was shiny. Of course I have been breeding with other Pokémon for the right nature for a couple months. Froakie just happened to be the one. Lucky ass me

I'd really like to see the other gen 5 starters since we'll be getting Samurott soon and we haven't had them since gen 7. Contrary Serperior raids sound like a real fun challenge.

Yeah you have a point. I may figure out what they’re next. They’re doing 2 starter of each primary typing with some gimmick. So I can see samurott next and 2 other grass starters

Only Samurott is in the game because of Hisui Starters. Serperior and Emboar aren’t in the code.

A strategy I used to solo Greninja involves Vaporeon(Max HP & SpA with a Modest nature Perfect EV in everything except Attack)
Move 1: Use Acid Armor
Move 2: Use Aqua Ring
Move 3: Use Stored Power
Move 4-6: Use Acid Armor
Move 7-12: Use Calm Mind
Move 13: Attack Cheer
Move 14-Until Unrivaled is down: Use Stored Power
Move in between moves 4-14: Use Heal Cheer if hit by critical
With this strategy(which I learned from RageGamingVideos btw)I was able to beat Greninja the Unrivaled on my first try.
I used my Water Absorb Gloopsire with Earth Power, Stockpile, Recover, and Sludge Wave. Didn't faint once but I got it. Yay shiny!!

Hey just as a heads up: sparkling power does NOT affect breeding, it specifically only affects encounters! So it’s a bit of a waste of herba to use it for eggs. Hope this helps!

@@contendedtea3733 correction: he DID use sparkling power, but for grass, and mainly for the egg power 3, probably.
apologies for the mistake! though imho it’s still quite a waste of herba, as egg power just speeds up breeding/hatching eggs and egg power 2 does a decent job itself

Congrats on the shiny. I may not be going for this but, I am going for team as a shiny. So far, I'm 2/6. My plan is to get my full team for the dlc so im masuda hunting and doing outbreaks for shroodle, finizen, pawmi and characdet. So far, no luck.

1-2 Iron defence
3 slak off
4-6 Iron defence
6-7 nasty plot
8 slak off
9 final nasty plot
10+ Nuke it with shell bell

Awesome shiny, by the way the only starters in the game are of course the gen 9, and gen 8 and 6 with a few exceptions being charizard, and the Hisuian starters, og forms and Hisuian. Oh also typhosion in this game has its fire at all times so I’m hoping for that one next

I finally got mine today on the 247th egg. I started yesterday spent about 7.50hrs on it shiny hunting it Masuda method. And then spent about 6.50hrs today after work total of 14hrs total. I also had help with the shiny charm thankfully I had both games and competed my Pokédex 💯🙏🏾. And this is also my first ever shiny egg hatch in Scarlet. I haven’t completed dex for Violet yet.
If you wanna grind this raid use a slowbro that’s level 100
Moveset: Slack Off,Stored Power,Iron Defense,Nasty Plot
Strategy:
Use iron Defense 3 times before the stat change removal so you don’t die to night slash,prioritise iron Defense after it,after using it 3 times again use nasty plot 3 times,then use stored power at least twice
Held Item:Life Orb
Only took me 29 eggs 💪

Being honest I did my hatching between yesterday as I got him and the day before and I got him yesterday and I was super happy to finally have a beautiful shiny as Greninja but I hated doing his raid. But this gives me time to continue on my shiny hunt for Arceus that even after 6 months I haven't gotten him yet.

Pretty sure i already know the answer to this but JUST to be sure, eggs are predetermined right? So you cant reset and re hatch the eggs for a chance of getting a shiny, its just you get what you get and carry on?
A lot of people are telling me they soft re set their eggs and idk if they’re lying or not anymore xD

General question that I am a little unclear on. Can you reset the game after the eggs have been bred so you don’t have to breed eggs every time you reset or do you have to do the 30 minute egg breeding session to get different eggs that might contain shiny.
No, sadly you can't. Each egg implies 1/682 or 1/512 with shiny charm and the eggs will stay the same forever. Hope this tip helped you out.

I have a question I have a English Froakie and I’m breeding it with a Japanese Ditto I have the shiny charm and I already breed 540 Froakie and still no shiny I thought my odds were 1 out of 512. I’m I doing something wrong? Please help
They are odds so every single time you hatch an egg there is a 1 in 512 CHANCE, not guarantee.
