Another day, another 1000 downpicks🤘🏾 I love ur punk course. First full song I ever learned was Depression just a few months ago w ur vid alone. Ik Ginn plays it barre but the power way sounds p sick too lol
Dude. Love your posts! They are right in the pocket with what I play and at the level that I'm playing at. A huge help in my progression as a "player". Thanks man.
Don't crank the treble on your amp especially if you play the amp loud. Also most guitars have a tone knob. Many players ignore this but it can be a rather useful tool. Less highs but dialed in correctly can get a thicker sound.
Tree-ads ??? I know what triads are. Just kidding around. ;) Great insights on basic similarities and differences between these bands as well as some simple bits of theory for those of us who are terminally musically declined.
Haha :). I'm self-taught and have never had a formal lesson in my life. So, I learned a lot from old books in the 90's. I always have called them tree-ads until a few years ago when I started watching RUclips. But when my brain is on auto-pilot, I revert to my old way of saying them.
@ScottGuitar Interesting to know how you got there. Yeah, sometimes it can be as difficult or even more so to unlearn things as it is to learn them. The brain is a weird thing, at least I know mine is. ;)

Thanks Man! Glad they are helping.
“Tree-ads” sounds cool
Love this ❤
Thanks for the nuances that make each band so unique.
The Clash were heavily influenced by reggae, so that's something to take into consideration
black flag had a muddy sound...its hard for me to play them as i can hear some of their stuff clearly...but i suck at guitar so haha

15:11 do you like Jazz? 🤣😭🤣
I DO like Jazz! Maybe that's why I like Black Flag too!
Fun House & King Crimson RED are my favourite 70s Jazz adjacent records
Triad is pronounced "try ad" not "tree ad". Just trying to help. My brain just glitched. 😝
She’s not dead whit hahah
That title is kind of redundant
Easy punk guitar....damn...that's redundant
