    Most comedians would do their routine and leave. With her, Carson asked her to come over and have a seat. He then told her she has an open invitation to come back anytime. When you get that kind of endorsement from Carson, you know you have a future in show business.

      She reflected on this on a special about the Tonight Show and Johnny Carson history. She and Drew Carey were emotional about how special it was to appear on the show, but to be called over, meant so muuch more, like an endorsement stamp for your career going forward. Ellen and Drew appreciated that start, and Johnny was the best at moving forward careers of new or young comedians.

    This was heartwarming. You can see how hard she's worked to get to that point and it's taken years. Puts life into perspective. She's so happy and humble during her performance, but you can see the emotion in her eyes when she's sitting with Johnny. She'd been through a lot to get there and she's a real professional. What a role model.

      No worries. It's merely a joke.
      Most states in the US have issued stay at home orders.
      As a result, non-essential places such as television studios have been shut down to keep people from gathering in close quarters.
      There are even limits on the number of people who can be in a store at any given time. Those limits are MUCH lower than the already established limits set for fire safety and structural capacities.
      To keep the show going, some are streaming from home.
      Ellen made a joke on Twitter about her staying at home had nothing to do with an arrest warrant out of Florida.

    the whole story of the fleas, has a dark background. she was living in this miserable little appartment, infested with fleas, and strugling with the loss of her love partner, who died in a car accident. and there she was, all alone, with nothing but fleas. and yet,, she manage to use that awful experience to turn it into comedy. that´s talent.

    • @Digmer
      @Digmer 9 лет назад +99

      octopibingo since everyone knows she is a lesbian, is evident that i meant her girlfriend. i said it like that cause it was not just a "girlfriend", it was much more than a girlfriend. it was a meaningful and serious love relationship. the two of them were in love. so, yes, the dead lady WAS her love partner.
