If Liverpool gets the right price for Mohamed Salah, they need to strongly consider selling him so they can try and sign some world class replacements. Liverpool also needs to decide if they want to sell Cody Gakpo or Darwin Nunez. With Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool, we could see a very different Liverpool team moving forward.

Following a period where Liverpool’s season has unraveled fallen out of the title race in the Premier League and are out of the Europa League and FA Cup after being in contention to win a quadruple, his form has dipped he’s been dropped and was involved in a heated exchange with his manager, there’s a section of Liverpool fans saying that they need to sell Mohamed Salah.
Don’t get me wrong, he’s had a brilliant season and by every metric he’s one of the best players in the world. At the start of the season, he was regular getting goals and assists he was on fire, leading Liverpool in the Premier League title race, they were in contention to win every competition and he was getting “best player in the world” shouts and tipped for the Ballon Dor. Now all of a sudden because he’s out of form and the team as a whole aren’t playing well, Liverpool need to sell him to Saudi Arabia in the summer. He’s not recaptured his best form since recovering from his injury that he picked up at the AFCON in January. Liverpool’s end to the season has been a nightmare as they went from potentially winning 4 trophies to ending the season with the Carabao Cup. Since Klopp is leaving there in a transitional period and 12 months left on his contract, they have a big decision to make on Salah. No matter how badly he’s playing right now, he has 24 goals and 13 assists 37 G/A in all competitions and at one point he was leading the premier league in both goals and assists and sure he’s out of form, it’s the same thing with the Liverpool team as well right now, it’s not his fault that some of the other attackers can’t finish, sometimes they don’t create enough in games or what about their defense who’ve kept only 1 clean sheet in the last 13 games. Some of the attackers on the team cannot replicate his output. It’s true that it gets to a point where Liverpool have to think about life after him it’s the same thing with Kevin De Bruyne at Manchester City even if both of their situations are different. Salah is a Liverpool legend and some consider him to be the best winger in premier league history and his numbers are staggering, as good as he is, he cannot be relied on forever since in the summer he turns 32 and he is he getting any younger and has shown signs of declining lately. He’s going to leave eventually as Saudi Arabia were interested in signing him, they’ll try to go for him again in the summer and they would sell him for a lot of money.
Very well put together. Some people tend to have a gold fish memory, one slip and your great history is erased. I know it’s because his legendary status but hey everyone needs to give a break and get off his shoulder. He is a huge factor in the great comeback Liverpool has made since Klopp’s arrival.
