I watched the PDC, WoO Sprints, and USAC this weekend. Very exciting action! One of the better weekends this season from a fan perspective. Great show!
Both gravel and pierce will go down as some of the goats. Happy for both of them. The milestones they are achieving are iconic. Good for tj stutts as well.
@@NickPhilkill, Eldora is different. The racing is almost always more competitive at Fairbury. The atmosphere at Eldora and the speed is what makes the World 100 stand out.
Speaking of parking lot shenanigans, check out the Flo clip of the IMCA Hobby Stock going out of the track at Marshalltown, Iowa and hitting an Audi in the parking lot from this last Friday Night.
Scott Bogucki’s wreck and very hard impact with the wall at Jackson Motorplex, after getting hit by whatever Reutzel was attempting, was very frightening also.
Corey Day had an interesting heavy nascar style debut. He qualified 5th and fell back and then followed Kimmel, the home track Hero at Salem and obviously learned a lot. Drove up to 2nd then got deliberately crashed out. Looks like he was comfortable enough to get another opportunity soon. Went to Lawrenceburg that was rained out till Tuesday, rain predicted then as well.
Pierces spin was the event that changed the entire dynamic of that race. If not for that caution RTJ had no chance of charging the top 5 that easy and challenging the leader. If not for the spin pierce wouldn’t have had time to make cage remaining dirty air, strung out passes and chase down Hoffman in time. Even with his insane, lightning fast drive through the field he wouldn’t have had time with only 5 to go , to run down and tackle Hoffman if it wasn’t for Shepherds caution. It would have been a more exciting finish at the line if Hoffman wouldn’t have made those mistakes. First failing to predict Pierces run through 1&2 and the failed entry into 3 that caused him to tighten up. He was way to experienced for the reaction.
I have commented elsewhere that IMO, there is a high number of tailtanks coming loose from cars. They race hard and sometimes crash hard, I get that, but cannot remember so many leaving chassis. Hope it's just coincidence.
Fuel line came off Sussex car and soaked him. When it hit the rear rotor it ignited. I was there and it was a really good response to the incident. He got out and started rolling and they was dousing him immediately. It was horrifying to watch though. He looked like one of those stunt men who set themselves on fire.
Fires in race cars are nasty, nasty things to behold as a spectator. You also can't help but feel useless in that situation. Well I know that I have. Thank God it doesn't seem to happen anywhere as often as it used to Well not down here in Australia, but we don't have anywhere near the numbers of races or competitors as you might see in the U.S of course. But yeah, it's a horrible thing to see,and I'm glad he got out of it OK 👍
Misc. streaming comments.1st IRA sprints at Normon County horrible camera angle like watching whole race from prison. Next Lincoin park (one of my favorite tracks) USAC sprint race. love watching qualifying when they latterly jump into 1st corner coming on to track at full speed but camera thought it was more important to watch finished car coast into pits would pick up next car after it already got green flag. Last NARC race they cut in commercials in all the wrong places totally covered up intros to feature cut away from reds before safety crews even got there and came back with no explanation plus same commercials over and over just my 2 cents.
He about threw it away multiple times and took out McCreadie twice. Nothing has changed, people are just blinded by him coming from back to front twice. He did an impressive thing so everybody is overlooking what he did to get there. Rest assured he’s the same old Bobby lol.

With an asterisk next to Gravel because of no Sweet.
Other than the World 100 the PDC should be at or near the top of everyone's bucket list for races to see in person.

@@NickPhilkill,
It definitely is, I've been to the USA Nationals several times as well.

That build was a great video
Stutts engine was screaming during hot laps. I knew he had the motor to pull it off. Set himself up to pull it off 🏁
Was fortunate to be at the PDC, if you've never been you need to get there!
Kokomo race last night was a thriller too
Always look forward to these videos at work

Dominic Gorden crushing it on the west lately, awesome job

Does anybody know what has happened to Brandon Overton his webpage had him racing this weekend but he wasn't there
Where has Overton been? He's kinda disappeared as of late.
Does USAC have mandatory fire suppression?
They do not

Fairbury>Areodora
That NARC show looked pretty bad. The backmarkers were way slower than the front runners. They looked so slow as to be a hazard.
What's meant by saying a goat ?
Greatest of all time

Just 2 yrs ago it seems everyone was bitchin that Bobby was a crash hack 🤣
Sometimes it takes a lot of learning what not to do. His improvement has been outstanding.
