I also love how they talk about how friendly the entire neighborhood is, we need more neighborhoods like this! As for the little girl, I don’t blame the parents for not having an eye on her the entire time. Neighborhoods like this it’s common for a child her age to cross over to her friends home. I also don’t necessary blame the driver as she popped out in front of him. I think it was a very unfortunate accident, and instead of passing blame I think the lesson should be to spend some more time with the children of the neighborhood teaching the correct way to cross over the road.

What's wrong with people not taking responsibility for THEIR choices!

Depending on her injuries she could have lifelong complications resulting in many more medical bills. The statute of limitation on suing for personal injury is usually two years. I would sue too. Pedestrians are allowed to cross the road in residential neighborhoods AND have right of way. However, they should be going after his insurance agency. They're not going to get anything in small claims court.
Thank God the girl is okay. Being 26 years old and having been hit while I was still in the car put a toll on my body I couldn’t imagine being seven and hit with a car like that.
I’ve been hit before as a child and it was at least 5 adults watching all the kids out it was the drivers fault she was speeding in a residential neighborhood and ignored the slow down children present signs on the ice cream truck quite literally shit happens

What kind of parent sues when their bills have already been covered, and it was their fault for not watching thier young child closely enough. He was driving appropriately, and the child just runs on to the street out of no where. As a parent I'd be happy just knowing that my child lived, and wasnt injured seriously. This can happen anywhere and children can be hit by moving vehicles. Many parents teach children about crosswalks but not about parked vehicles or items on a street or in a driveway. This same thing happened to my little sister and her best friend. He ran a crossed a busy road from out behind a parked car and was hit. Luckily he wasn’t hit too badly but they both could have been killed. ♥️💕💕❤️
Maybe folks on that block don't have backyards. But, having a BBQ in a front yard that's unfenced, where kids or drunk people can wander into a street with traffic is a disaster waiting to happen

Smart, calm, clear folks so far. Without watching the second part, I'm pretty sure I know what happened. The little girl ran out in front of him. My own son did the same thing, though not hit, but close. He was a little younger. We were walking with some adult friends, all leaving a place at the same time. We split up to go to our own cars, and my son started following Tom. Tom caught my eye and said he had him. In that brief moment my son darted between cars and out into the street. My friend Tom jumped out and saved him. Even under the most watchful eyes those little scamps can do an impulsive thing. Glad that darling little girl is okay. My friend Tom was almost crazed with guilt, as I'm sure this driver was too. Though neither of them are to blame.

I would probably have a heart attack if I hit a child. I hit a dog 1 time and felt HORRIBLE, sadly pup died but wasn't my fault. I went to home of dog and owners didn't seem 2 care so I took pup 2 my vet but pup passed away at vet. I cannot imagine if I hit a child, luckily little girl was ok without major injuries.

@@dharmallars I posted this when there was only 1 out of the 4 clips posted, now that I've seen the clips I know who's at fault but before all of that I was saying it's a damn shame this little girl had a fractured knee for a bit and got hurt (yes I know she and her parents as well as a bit of the drivers fault) but I was referring to myself, not as a judge to decide and dictate who was at fault, but my position as a viewer pitying the child

I would probably have a heart attack if I hit a child. I hit a dog 1 time and felt HORRIBLE, sadly pup died but wasn't my fault. I went to home of dog and owners didn't seem 2 care so I took pup 2 my vet but pup passed away at vet. I cannot imagine if I hit a child, luckily little girl was ok without major injuries.
