I love Dragon Quest as a whole.
I am not playing a game of one up here buuuuut Dragon Quest monsters is my favorate franchise period. I whould buy a console just to play a new DQM game sight unseen.

same here because I love moster farming and moster taming games where I can have fun with out it being toxic like it has been on some mmo add moster battle to they game so I now stick with my Nintendo switch now where less stressful or unless I do stuff up in the game that Tiny bit stressful part not as bad as being picked on in a mmo that the sad part about it and because I was so over it sick of getting yelled at for not only being a noob a bit but when working on skills then get yelled at for being to much of a pro I was so much lost I was wtf omg could not win so when taking on noc on games where don't get picked on or yelled at best thing for me iam so lost on what this world what me to be suck or not geez make up there minds online geez way to much trollls out there makes less fun so yeah bad enough I had this done to as kid don't need it my adulthood life aswell geez if they can bullying programs in school's they need to do it online to with mmos to so make fun again for some of us but wishful thinking maybe 🤔🥺

This looks embarassing and a horrible start to new monster games, trash graphics like it's a ps2 remaster.. For a new DQM series.. after playing DQ11, this is insulting. I'll just play DQM1.. gameboy pixel graphics look better than this muddy garbage. Better hope they don't butcher the OG mechanics that made it good too, like all the breeding and skills. Guess they are taking a page out of Gamefreaks trash pokemon games.. this might be worse than pokemon artstyle
Man I'd really want to support the game so bad, and the video makes me feel even worse becquse DQ monster: joker 1, 2 and 3 were a big part of my childhood.
But it it for SWITCH. It's just so depressing man, I can't afford to buy a console just for ONE game. Hope others get to support the series, because it really DESERVES
Joker 2 is goat, whole joker series is goat honestly, this game should prove to be its one true successor
The DQM games for me growing up gave me more of an impact than the pokemon games did for being a fan of the genre.
DQM alongside Jade Cocoon and Shin megami tensei games drew me in a lot more than pikemon ever could have and the genre needs large AAA and AA developers to realise that it's an amazing Genre with so much more potential than we see with pokemon games.

The Dark Prince has become one of my most anticipated games for the rest of this year, I'm most likely picking it up.
Shoot I go back and play DWM 1 and 2 at least every two years. The story is not much to write home about, but the breeding system is absolutely amazing! I own every now Dragon Quest monsters game in English or Japanese. An with the 3ds monsters games have the English patches Im working on them now. I love this side series to death and will always throw money at it!!! Thank you for bring this to light again!!!!

DQM is my favorite monster taming series. I think they are overall much better games than Pokémon and I routinely go back to play all of them on emulators. I would love to see this game succeed and encourage future games and maybe some translated ports of the 3ds games. I would also love to see Pokémon have to make a great game again because another big brand was coming for their market share

I've been a long time fan of the Pokemon & DQM series.
But we need a Great option to fill in the gap. Last recent Pokemon game release I enjoyed was Legends Arceus.
Hoping Digimon & other series gain more traction aswell 🙏🏻😁I enjoy the Monster Hunter Stories series, I've tried MH main series just wasn't big on it.

Psaro is actually the main antagonist in Dragon Quest 4, but he joins your party in the post game of the DS version.
Psaro was basically the inspiration for Magus in Chrono Trigger and Sephiroth in FF7.
Needless to say he will be an awesome character to use as a monster tamer.
They BETTER bring back series monster greats like Marqui de Leon, Canzar, Aquareon, Sagitor and Riptide!
Marqui de Leon is in Dragon Quest 4 and this is a prequel to that game so it will be here.

Hell yeah! Huge fan of DQM series. I fell in love with the first 2 when they came out for gbc. God I'm old
DQM over all is so good, it's also really unique with combining two monsters into a new one and ranking them up, special combinations and the lategame grind with scouting and synthetisizing the right monsters to get boss(???) monsters etc. it gets so much better the further you progress

One of the first monster taming games that I played was DQMJ2 however when I found out the there was an expansion alongside several other dragon quest monster taming games being only in japan I was a bit upset due to DQMJ2 being such a good game with enough content to keep me playing.
Had a lot of fun with Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 while waiting for Pokemon X/Y to come out. Will definitely be picking this game up!
Im new to the "monster taming" community but old in the Pokémon community, Im trying my best to support new and interesting monster taming games... As much as my wallet allows me to do 😅
If you like breeding in Pokémon you're going to love DQM. In the DQM series breeding is the main way to get stronger. You combine two monsters and create a third one that is of a new species that has better stats and higher max level, as well as carrying some abilities from its parents.
I mean, Psaro is my favorite DQ villain of all time and I can't tell you how much I've been craving a new DQM, so I know where I'll be on December 1st. Beyond stoked.

I remember having a Dragon Quest Monsters game for gameboy it was a ton of fun as a kid.
If it was multiplatform I definitely would. I don't like playing RPGs on a Nintendo console after the 3DS. My personal preference. Square honestly need to treat the series like they are final fantasy and make them multiplatform.

I grew up playing the dragon quest monsters joker series. Basically, DQMJ1 and 2, since the 3rd game, never got a release outside of Japan. I took one look at this and have to get it. There hasn't been a Dragon Quest Monsters global release in 13 years.
Been playing Dragon Warrior/Quest games since the 90s - cannot wait for the new DQM game - I hope it is a great game and sells well
Another very good reason to support Dragon Quest Monster 3 is the fact that the only two Dragon Quest Monster games that came out in the West are Joker 1 and 2. We didn't even get the number 3 of the Dragon Quest Monster Joker trilogy because the games didn't sell well enough outside of Japan just because people view it as a Pokemon clone while these were very good games. Buying it to support the Dragon Quest Monsters series itself in the West would be great.

All of these franchises can take my money.
Try Siralim Ultimate. The depth of it surpasses all of these and was directly inspired by Dragon Warrior Monsters.
Having played all of the DQM I will be getting the third for sure. It bothers me a little that it is releasing only on the Switch though, like Pokémon does. Probably too much to hope for a Steam release but it's all whatever. DQM is a great franchise that deserves recognition.
I'm going to preorder that game when it's possible! I have loved the DQ Monster franchise since Joker and played the main line game to almost completion. Wish it came out sooner!

I was hyped to say the least. This was one of my first Non Pokemon monster tamer.
The others being MegaTen & Digimon. Its such a cute series. I'm hyped for this & I'm so glad to see its coming.
I imagine The Dark Prince will sell really well, the last DQM game we got, at least over here in the U.S. was 2, there was a 3rd I think, but I don't believe it ever got localized.
Hopefully all the DQM fans come crawling out of the woodwork when this new one comes out, and it gets lots of support.

Joker 2, yeah. The Dark Prince will be the 9th game in the DQM series, but only the 5th to be released in the west.
Dragon Quest Monsters was and still is the better Pokemon.
I am so hyped for this game! I've been so excited that I broke out my old 3DS and have been playing my copy of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker the last week or so.
Forget about Pokemon. It's important for DQM: The Dark Prince to do well because the DQM series is excellent, and I don't want there to be another streak of the games only being released in Japan.
The original 2 Dragon Warrior Monsters games are my favorite video games of all time. I will be buying this title to support a potential re release of them in some capacity
Very excited for the growth of the genre tbh, I really hope SOMEONE makes Pokémon sweat, because again, they give us PENNIES. They literally give us NOTHING. So excited for this title coming out, Palworld, kindred fates. Really want more real time combat titles for the genre however I hate that it seems like turn based battle systems are king here 😂
Square enix is the same as gamefreak, lazy and greedy and no fucks given for quality. Neither will be getting my money.. if you want to make pokemon sweat, putting in as much effort into making dogshit graphics like Gamefreak does every release wont do it. This is a flop just based on the look. Insane potential wasted.. when you have DQ11 graphics, DQ3 iso3D remake looking amazing and up to the times... Insane move to make this game look so bad

Honestly, The Dark Prince, I'm looking forward to check out. I have my eye on it, not gonna buy it outright, but it has my attention, and if I like what I see, I'll throw my money at it sooner or later.
I do want this game. Love the older games and glad its back... But im somewhat burnt on buying things before knowing what its actually like on release.. Ive been burnt before sadly.. But if it turns out its.actually a good, high effort game that isnt a nostalgia bait cash grab, then i might just buy multiple for family or friends.

Dragon Quest: Stranger of Paradise looks great
I think the game has potential. I played the demo for like 5-10 hours total, fusing and battling, because its just that damn fun.
One thing that might turn off people is the performance issues.
I played all the DS+3DS games, with fan translation and all, i grew up with pokemon but DQ monsters overtakes it as the superior monster taming game to me.
Hope we get a PC port like Treasures did, imagine all the good of the gameplay without any of the performance issues of the Switch.
I'm considering DQM. DQ11 was pretty fun, I like monster taming games and Akira Toriyama is excellent at designing monsters.
I want more Dragon Quest period; mainline titles, monsters, heroes, ports and remakes of prior stuff, whatever they want to give me. As long as it’s not mobile game nonsense or shovelware, just give it to me.
I'll be buying this on release, may not play it on release with Starfield hitting in a couple weeks. But I gotta vote with my dollar. I played the gbc releases back in the day as a kid and I have to play this one as well.
Hey there, love the content. Is dragon quest monster, a dark prince the next game in line that was dragon quest monster joker 2? Or is it a completely different type of game?
My favourite thing about joker 1 and 2 was the fusion/synthesis. Mum-bo-jum-boe was my favourite.
The breeding part of Joker 1 and 2 have been a main element of the series since the very first game, so yes The Dark Prince will most definitely have that as well. Based on the trailer, the gameplay does have a lot of similarities to the Joker games, moreso than to DQM 1/2 at least.
I am definitely buying this game twice once digital and once phisical.
I enjoyed all the DQ Monster games, Joker 1 and 2 were amazing. I'll definitely be grabbing this game as an avid Dragon Quest and monster tamer fan.

I am so incredibly excited for DQM 3. I used to play DWM 1 and 2 when I was a child, and the DQMJ 1+2 Made up a lot of time in my teen years. *Finally* getting another game brought to the west has me pumped.
Heck, I even have a Japanese 3DS and the games that came out in Japan only.

Played years ago dragon quest monsters. Terrys Adventure was awesome.
Armoured core 6, anonymous code, baten kaitos remaster, super Mario RPG remake, metal gear solid master collection and maybe Spiderman 2. This is my buy list for the rest of the year but I've got a backlog of 30 to 40 games so I'd like to support this game but at the moment it'll be if I see it on sale physically

I love seeing DQM coming to the west once more, I really enjoyed joker and am looking forward to this one. I'm definitely in the category of trying out a bunch of different monster taming games. My favorite indies I've played so far are nexomon and cassette beasts. I do want more from pokemon, and agreed that I'd like to see more digimon titles although my favorites are the stories series rather than the world games.
I will buy a copy for every system it comes out on.

Ive been playing Monsters since i started gaming as a kid ive literally waited 13 years actively wanting this game. Not to mention we get to play as the best villain in DQ in this one? You couldnt pay me to skip this game.

The only thing making me hesitate about getting The Dark Prince is that some of the monster designs aren't very appealing. I'm def going to look at the roster they have once the game comes out and see if its enough to tempt me to get it.
From all the Direct annoucements, this is on the top of my wishlist. Still going to wait for a review, thought.
It is weird that I haven't being much interested in Pokemon games since SM (and it and XY I end up buying more out of habit), but now I just antes to try out others games of the genre.
I still like Pokemon and consume its media, but I am not interested in mainline anymore. (At least until the fix their quality issue)
Already planned too wait for one of to things, and western announcement of the CE i want the Watabou pillow plus I’m hoping Square with the hype bring the dragon quest retro to the eshop in the western markets (it’s in the Japanese eshop and it can give people an idea of the DQM games but it won’t have the scout catch that was introduced in DQM joker which anyone with a 3DS I highly recommend playing)
