If money were no object, and I specifically wanted an athletic midsize luxury sedan, this would be at the top of my list. I like how it’s off the beaten path - not just everyone else’s A6, E Class or 5 Series. And I like how it’s more driver focused - I don’t need all the bleeding edge semi-autonomous stuff or gesture controls or junk like that, and I actually like how it has the easy-to-use, uConnect-based infotainment. Would much rather have a more immersive and engaging driving experience than tech gimmicks I’m never gonna use. Overall, the Ghibli deserves way more love imo.
William Long OMG it’s so refreshing to see someone who gets it. You are right on all accounts. I’ve owned the German competitors, and if you want a vanilla cookie cutter drive with complex nextgen technology then they’re for you. If you want a true visceral driving experience, get the Ghibli. I catch myself walking into the garage to get something and realize I’ve been staring at the lines and curves for 5 minutes etc. The exhaust note is like a symphony. And to be honest, the 2017 and newer Ghibli’s have all the tech you need anyway. It’s a very poorly understood car that must be driven in order to see how special it truly is.
Bros FOURR Speed I will agree with you there. This car really does sound good. However, at twice the price of a Stinger you could do a lot of modifications with the extra money. You can make the Stinger sound like anything that you want for not too much money.
Actually, worse. FCA parts throughout this car - from the power window switches, UConnect system found on all Chrysler products, to the Mercedes/ Chrysler chassis it's based on. Aside from the engine, you're driving a Chrysler 300 / Dodge Charger, same platform. That's why this car drops like a rock in value. I can get a 2018 w/ low miles from 27-31K / huge depreciation from 100K. I'd take a Kia Stinger GT2 any day of the week over this Ghibbli.
So much stuff shared from cars that cost less than 20k. pretty straight forward. id rather have a volkswagen interior than this abomination of cost cutting and out dated technology
Doug DeMuro made an absolutely horrible review of an older Ghibli before they updated the infomatic system in 2017. Millions of people have watched it and drank the cool aid without ever even driving one lol. I’ve owned BMW, Mercedes etc and the Ghibli is my favorites by a billion fold. It’s the driving experience. In other words, you can only understand how special this car is when you drive it and FEEL the difference. Also, it’s expensive so I think a lot of people spew hate in order to rationalize why they don’t have one.
It does look good, but for the price point, they utilized a lot of Chrysler parts from vehicles that are super cheap like another comment said. For the price it doesn't complete well with the interior like Mercedes Benz, Audi and BMW's have.
They are fun cars to drive for sure! I love the exhaust note and the paddles, it's fun! They are cheap on the used market which makes them great to pick up. I wouldn't buy one new, but it's a great car when the price can be compared to the Camry!
Bros FOURR Speed there are periods in between the letters in I.C.E. That indicates it is an acronym. I.C.E typically stands for Internal Combustion Engine. What in the world could it stand for here? Shouldn’t they have just written “ICE”. That makes no sense at all.
Nothing to do with bad weather. Improved Control and Efficiency. Basically gear ratios that favor fuel economy and quiet comfort. It has three drive modes, I.C.E, Normal, and Sport. Normal is a blend between the two. The Ghibli is an amazing car that blends luxury and aggressive sport driving in a beautiful package. People that hate this car, have never owned or driven one.
Me personally I believe FCA should sell off the Maserati, because everything about the interior is very cheap and very similar to what you see in other FCA vehicles. I completely understand parts sharing saves money, but this vehicle is supposed to be special. Just my opinion.
If this car really is 4000 pounds then 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds with well over 400 horsepower would be extremely slow. Most cars in this class and even some cars at half the price are in the mid 4s for 0-60. That 0-60 time is more indicative of a turbocharged 4 cylinder engine. That is really disappointing.
The back of that car could easily be mistaken for an INFINITI Q50s and that isn’t a good thing. Both cars look fine back there but it just isn’t distinctive.
Maserati brand use to be my dream car, till they had quality & design problems. Frankly, way over priced for its class. I have moved over to the Bentley SUV. There the quality is more than job one. Design is leap-froging over the competition too.
I totally agree with you. Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, look like they've kept the same layout of the center control and gauge cluster over the last 20 years. Lamborghini and Porsche look like they've made an effort to modernize the interior, so props to them. But Maserati will be forever screwed for as long as it's being made by Chrysler.
Yeah the Maserati brand is selling you more of a car that has the appeal of a Ferrari engine, Italian leather and very smooth ride quality. Interior definitely needs an update with more tech!
Some facts - owned by FCA, even the power window switches are out of a Chrysler 300 / uses the same Mercedes drive platform as well. This car depreciated like a rock - a piece of junk. I can buy one w/ low miles ( 2018 ) for $25,000.00 - buying one new - you'd be foolish. Why didn't you tell anyone it's the same U-Connect system available in any FCA vehicle? Jumk!
I’m going to go on a limb and say you’ve never driven one. I’m also gonna say you watched Doug Demoro’s retarded review and made up your mind without experiencing how special this car is to drive and own. Power window switches, lmao. Do you think Mercedes gets theirs from rainbows? A Ferrari built engine on a beautiful body style that growls and purrs, and morons want to talk about a power switch. Rent one for a weekend and see if it’s junk....but warning, you’ll fall in love, and then realize you’re dead wrong about a low mileage 2018 for 25k. If you can afford it, I’d highly recommend the SQ4 for the extra torque btw.
DivoT ahhhh, but drive one and you will FEEL the difference. I’ve owned BMW, Mercedes etc and after owning the Ghibli I’ll never buy another German, unless after age 70 or so when I want boring over a driving experience.
I actually like the analog gauges. Digital gauges seem to lag sometimes and they aren’t always continuous if their refresh rate isn’t high enough.
That's a good point, I'm the same way with that!
one correction that is the S not the SQ4 so it is NOT all wheel drive but rather rear wheel drive
Love it Bro Your reviews are to awesome for me 🔥 101% 👍
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoy them!

Thanks for another informative video review 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video bro💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥
Thanks 💯 Always fun checking out a Maserati!
I love it!! It’s very Luxury!
I think so too!
Bros FOURR Speed I know right
I’ll have 2020 in summer of 24 my fav dream car 🚗
Nice!
I am not totally convinced that it is really that much better than a Kia Stinger GT2.
Those would be cool to compare, I like the sound this makes over the kia!

Sad this car is being compared to a Kia stinger, shows how low the notoriety of this car brand is

It's a nice car. One of my most favourite Masratis.
Does Maserati still manufacture Ghibli?
A Quattroporte review pls.
OMG maserati thir have beautiful cars sedan and suv and coupe 🔥🖤
They do! I really like the aggression on Maserati cars!
Bros FOURR Speed me too bro
They should raise horsepower and lessen mpg like other manufacturers
They do have higher trims on this now
Nice car! Like that interior!
It is! Maserati makes very nice interiors!
Ghibli is exceptional “‘ Top Style
They are fun to drive! Maserati's have great sounding cars too!
Wonder why everyone think’s that interior is cheap, I think it looks pretty good

@@BrosFOURRSpeed A Camry? I paid 60k for my 2018 Ghibli S Gransport. Where can I get one for the price of a Camry??
What does the I.C.E mode do? Is this car a hybrid? That would be really cool if it was.
It's not a hybrid and that mode helps with inclement weather, changes how the power is sent I believe.

I have done a few if you search our channel. Any models in particular you want to see?

The new mc20 will be special
Hemi Lyfestyle I kinda agree, the interior looks very nice when you see the Chrysler stuff, but FCA never likes to change anything

Loved your video.
lol thanks man!

Yeah maybe, I haven't thought of that comparison.
The interior of the doors look like the Q50/Q60 as well.
Um right off back you’re wrong the Ghibli S is RWD the SQ4 is AWD
That was my question. So it is only diffetance? Between S and sq4?
Nothing Compares to V-8 they Had
Yeah! Still a good sounding Maserati though!
Mazerati needs redesign
Yeah! The 2024 models are slightly different! This is an old review lol
Maserati brand use to be my dream car, till they had quality & design problems. Frankly, way over priced for its class. I have moved over to the Bentley SUV. There the quality is more than job one. Design is leap-froging over the competition too.
Can’t really compare those Maserati never competed with Bentley , Bentley is more about luxury and has always cost much more
I like its interior and infotainment screen. But I don't like the rounded spoiler over the trunk and the cheap net in front of the rear seats.
I am not impressed with a lot of these "exotic" cars' interiors. They look really dated and worse than a $20k Hyundai Elantra.
It's just this car because FCA is being cheap with this car because they don't have a large budget for this vehicle
Hemi Lyfestyle yup
The interior looks so dated, really let’s the vehicle down, considering what you can get for similar or less money
Yeah the Maserati brand is selling you more of a car that has the appeal of a Ferrari engine, Italian leather and very smooth ride quality. Interior definitely needs an update with more tech!
Just wait 3 years and get you one for $20-30k with only 40-50k miles
Maserati has the top style over MB @ BMW “
You could say that, but all them in my opinion have great vehicle designs. It's all about what you like and want!
Some facts - owned by FCA, even the power window switches are out of a Chrysler 300 / uses the same Mercedes drive platform as well.

Hello
Hey!
Maserati...what poor people think wealthy people drive.
Before the market went crazy the Ghibli were all in the low $20k range. Very inexpensive car to buy used and people think you're ballin in one
First
Awesome man!
Exotic sedan🤣 more like lemon sedan
