The reason why blinding nades are doing more on impact than spikes is more than likely due to how impact damage is calculated. The lower the blast radius stat, the higher the impact damage and vice versa. Since blinding nades drops blast radius to 0 it just happens to be more damage than the flat impact bonus provided by spikes. Also notice how with spikes the impact damage was about 13k but when you swapped to forbearance it was around 10k since it had nothing to drop blast radius or give impact damage, so it definitely seems like it is working.

Tbh, as somebody with over 3k kills on undercurrent (demo+voltshot), there's still no real reason to use it over a forbearance w/chain reaction.
If you don't have a forebearance w/that roll, then undercurrent is a great arc wave frame GL
Between the chain reaction nerfs on specials and voltshot being good for verbage+prismatic, forbearance kinda sucks now@@LittleCrowYT
@@LittleCrowYTyeah it’s a good new player weapon since it’s not tied to any dlc. I’m sure you can still get brave weapons from onslaught (not shiny) but that’s such a crap shoot without focusing

Spike and Proxy nades being here confirms it to me that this is not intentional, as undercurrant ist not mean to hit anything directly like that and Proxy nades just doesn't make sense if you think about it. So this really doesn't seem like it was intended as it wasn't tuned to this scenario
fyi, blinding is different than 'disorienting'...blinding can apply to anything and can stun unstops, disorienting is ignored by bosses and champions...that's why they changed it from 'blinding grenades' to 'disorienting grenades'

All it’s going to take is one arc seasonal mod or new prismatic fragment to make this thing pop off
If you run arc class and equip the one fragment, any arc special or heavy creates a blinding explosion. Vesper is a lot of fun right now too
Yeah I like running that on my warlock with forbearance. I Wana say Bungie is trying out new building crafting weapons. Kinda like what they did with prismatic

I play with blinding gl for a long time now and its not a dps weapon at all, it's only a cc weapon. I pair it with Wishender and its a powerful combo that will keep you alive and clean enemies fast.

The wave triggers the blind.
I.e. if the wave touches the target it will blind it, if it hasn't killed it

I am curious how proximity works more than anything. Hopefully bungie leaves this and leans into it. A blinding wave frame is a cool idea I think.
Does the wave blind? I am also curious if proximity is viable since flying enemies are the bane of waveframes
I'm sad to say it won't hit them unless they are very low to the ground for the wave to hit them or Bungie gives us a wave frame with chain

Works extremely inconsitently for me
From my further time playing with it, it really is. The wave does the blinding, but sense wave frames are good at add clear. it will blind whatever is still alive (if it's not a champion or boss)

@@BoredThatsWhyare you doing the normal nightfall or harder difficulty.
If you are doing normal it's going to be a while before you get one, the drop chance is low on that difficulty

Bug sad to because I had a video showing off the "god roll" too
this is probably bugged, wouldn't be surprised if this roll gets removed from the pool on reset
So far that I know it's been in game sense final shape drop but they might 🤷♂️
Gonna say rn this is a terrible perk for a Wave Frame, tanking the BR to 0 after the Blast Radius buffs to Wave Frame is actually throwing, also, I think its bugged, it should not be rolling with a perk like that.
I agree, tho the wave isn't that bad. Also the roll that you want if it's not bugged is very niche and probably good for GMS or a higher-end game content where you can't instantly kill something with a wayframe.
Blast radius testing on wave frames post TFS has shown the difference is almost nothing.

There is a reason people use Forbearance with Chain Reaction and “Ambition Assassins.” Ambition Assassins is a meta perk. I have an undercurrent with voltshot and ambitious assassins which makes this GL a meta option.
