YESSS!!! How exciting this is so awesome!!! Sunday Keys app just keeps getting better and better. You guys are awesome. May God continue to bless you all!!!🙏🏼❤️
Using the Grand Beyond measure as a benchmark, the Mainstage version sounds more warm/richer than the app version. App version of each patch sounds highly digital vs the warmth from the mainstage settings.
Awesome job! How can we integrate keyboard legacy sound + this? We have a NORD stage, and like to keep the tone for the piano, and integrate this. Is that possible or we need a dedicated MIDI keyboard?
@@SundaySounds when you run Sunday Keys on an iPad Pro, what buffer size do you set it at? If I try 128 on my M2 iPad Pro it warns me about potential dropouts. I think 256 was the default.
@@jonathaneckmier great question. That warning is expected, and we chose to show it at 128 on M chip devices, because in our testing you can get less than 10 ms latency with buffer at 256 under most conditions, so there's simply no reason to run at 128 for most people. That being said, on M chip devices for the vast majority of use cases 128 will deliver reliable performance. In our experience, it just unnecessarily increases resource usage with the only benefit being a reduction in latency that most humans can't detect. When we shoot videos, we do typically use a 128 buffer size to ensure the sync between video and audio is as tight as possible, and even while screen recording M chip iPads have no trouble.
@@SundaySounds awesome, thanks so much for giving so much detail, this makes perfect sense. I just was initially surprised that on my M1 MacBook Air the buffer was defaulted to 128 while the newer M2 iPad Pro was 256. Lots more at play like memory, and other system resources of course, but it did just make me curious :)
@@SundaySounds You're welcome. Additional snapshots would be used for other parts of the song. We also use a generic patch for bringing more/less into the mix and could do with some more snapshots without changing the patch. Bigger buttons for the snapshots would be great because of big fingers :)
Any idea why we are getting a weak signal from this rig? In order to get any usable sound for live performance we have to juice up the gain (vs a plug and play workstation) - We’ve tried using an interface and a direct aux to PA set up. Neither seems to give us the juice we need. Any help would be appreciated.
Hello. I want to know if there are only 5 snapshots in the app since there are songs that have a diversity of details that are transforming. For example: A growing introduction that mixes other different sounds in the same intro but occupy other snapshot spaces causing the 5 available in the app to be reduced. Will there be any extension of snapshots in mind? -I appreciate your answer..
Hey! That update looks amazing as does the app in general. I'm new to the world of keys and I am approaching the stage where I will be looking to buy the Sunday Keys app. As much as it pains me to say this (I'd typically rather shave my eyes!) - I realise this will involve buying an Ipad 😒 Could you please advise what model will run IOS-15 or better. Thanks again and greetings from Inverness Scotland ♥🎹
Hi there, glad you're excited about the App! Most modern iPads can run iOS 15 or newer. If you're buying for the long-term we recommend any iPad with at least an Apple M1 chip inside. Those will all be plenty powerful. Newer iPad Airs, and newer iPad Pros typically have those. Feel free to contact us via our website if we can help further before you make a buying decision :)
Purchased the Ultimate License, and it's supposed to come with 15x patch downloads per year. How do you access those? Even logged in, the site is asking for payment info.
Hey David, thanks for your purchase! Your Song Patch Plus credits are sent to you via email immediately after your purchase. You’ll find a unique code within that email to use whenever you want to claim a credit. If you can’t locate that email please contact us via our website and we’ll be glad to help you get it sorted. Thanks and happy new year!
Hey! If we transpose a song specific patch to play and hear in a different key (say the original is in Ab but we are playing in G), will the key programing for specific sounds adjust or should I go in and adjust so that certain songs now play from keys that line up with the key of G?
When you use Easy Transpose on Song Patches all the programming (sequences, arps, etc) will all be transposed for you. For example if you set Play In to G and Hear In to Ab, you would just play in the key of G, and all your sounds, arps, sequences would output in Ab. If you set Play In to G and Hear In to G, then you can play in the key of G and all your sounds will be output in G.
@@SundaySounds That makes sense! The place I was wondering about was in the sound layer ranges. I assume those are programmed specifically for the original key. They don't seem to change when the play in/ hear in key is changed. So would I need to adjust those manually?
Many folks have, you weren't alone! We've been working on it since before the App was even in the App Store, so it's been exciting to finally get to share.
Love this!! quick question about the SL88 and the Sunday Sounds app.... Does anyone have a way to move through the snapshots? Im using a Mac in church for this and it's awkward at times to change the snapshot. Would be easier if one of the controls on the SL88 could be mapped for it! first world problems I know! Thanks!
One of the only downsides of the SL88, we'd say. You'll need some buttons or pads to be able to Midi Learn all the Snapshots to hardware buttons. The only option you'd really have on the SL88 would be giving up some notes on your keyboard and midi learning the extreme high or low notes to those Snapshots.
@@SundaySounds appreciate that!! Purchased the nanoKontrol to go along with it but any pad buttons usually are linked to notes on the keys anyway so I’ll try and figure out the best way forward for this!
Great question! We do plan to add a built-in metronome/click to the App, but that feature's still a bit down the roadmap. In the meantime you could run a metronome app on the same device, or a different App. The Prime App from Loop Community is a good option for building a setlist with custom click tracks that match exactly what you need.
Doesn't hurt to ask :) We don't plan to make any free song specific patches available in the App at this time. They will be on sale during Black Friday in November :)
Hi. Would an 6th generation ipad 6th gen work with the app? The ipad version that i have is 16.6.1, 128gb. the synthmaster works very well the ipad. Thanks for a coming respons.
You'll be able to run the App on any iPad that can run iOS 15 or newer, so your iPad will be able to install it. You may find that larger Setlists/Patches are taxing on a 6th gen iPad, as that's definitely on the lower end from a CPU power standpoint. You can adjust your audio buffer higher as much as you can, and keep your setlists as lean as possible, to optimize. If you're unsure of if you'll be able to optimize enough to your liking, download the App and give it a try in Demo mode before buying. It's free! Just download from the App Store.

A Sunday Keys license is required to use our song specific patches in the Sunday Keys app. Song specific patches can be opened in any MainStage concert or Ableton Live project, but features such as Easy Transpose and Song Section text require the use of the Sunday Keys template, included with your paid license.
@@SundaySounds i hope you could give a chance for those people that only wants the song specific patches without actually purchasing the license. It's a bit too pricey for us small church..
All the song specific patches are available for purchase at sundaysounds.com/collections/song-specific-patch, and can be opened in the Sunday Keys standalone app for iPad or Mac.
I’m sorry but the patches are too expensive for what they are. I would pay up to 5 bucks each…. I’m a little disappointed that there were no new started patches added to the iPad app in the last year. Also the updates were not that exciting. The individuals voices need an individual mute button to make the general use patches more versatile
They're $9 each, not $12-$15. We spend multiple days working on each Patch so you don't have to, but we also understand some folks will see more value in the time saved and quality of the resulting sound than others. in the end we think they're worth the price for those who see a real benefit :)
Seems like with every new update, you’re really pushing everyone to use iPads and not MacBooks. There’s no way you can control 15 sounds with only the Korg Nanocontrol. I think I better tell the church to sell the Mac and get an iPad! 😀
