wow perfect timing!! I finally just switched from using an ipad for my keys to using a macbook and although main-stage is the standard, I was dreading getting main-stage because the interface is so outdated! I thought, if only Sunday keys was compatible with my vsts!! and now this! so very pleased 🙏! buying Sunday keys for sure!! I think this has got mainstage beat just on account of snapshots and the modern GUI.
Congrats. I don't know how you're going to out do this upgrade. This is simply AWESOME!!!! I have to do a review on this because everyone should know about this update. 👍👍👍
I’ve had the app 3 weeks and beyond amazed at the possibilities and speed / intuitiveness of access to features on the fly in live situations. Thanks guys!
We demonstrate the Mac format some during the middle portion of this video :) You can host both AUv3 and Audio Unit plugins when on the Mac platform. And of course you can easily use Midi Learn in the App to control the App’s parameters from a nanoKontrol2 or any other midi controller.
Only thing that kept me from plunging into the iPad SK out of my MacBook was not being able to use all of the plugins I accumulated and used with AUM. This is a game changer and I’m happy to be able to incorporate my favourite sounds and apps with SK on iPad.
So AWESOME! I went out and got the Pianoteq sounds I wanted for my church and love it! So cool to combine other plugins with the already amazing pads in SK. Thanks guys!
Thank you guys so much for all that you have done so far! Can you consider adding the ability to use a 3rd party reverb in the future like Valhalla? Thank you again!!
Thanks for the encouraging comment! For now only instrument Plugin Hosting is supported, we may consider adding support for audio and midi fx in the future.
Amazing app ! Few questions about your app and your evolution road map : - Do you plan to introduce Drum loops (or is it possible to do so with a drum machine plug in ?) - regarding midi effect : what do you think about being able to use more than only one midi effect at the time ( Easy Chord + Sequencer for instance) ? - regarding Easy Chord and Sequencer effects, what about being able to have more than 8 memory slot? Thank you!!
What Audio Interface are you guys using for this to make this sound so clear and so nice? Also is it possible to share a setlist with Third Party Plugins, or no? (I’m guessing Isaac is pleased with this update 😅)
Interface: we use iPad’s built-in screen recording feature to capture the audio, but you should be able to get a clean output with any audio interface w/ proper gain staging at foh. If you need some specific help, feel free to contact us via our website.
@@SundaySoundsThanks a bunch! Thinking of using the built in screen recording iPad feature after I heard you guys were using it, that way, I won’t need a DI-Box, or AI!
It is a great update. Thanks for making this great app. Recently, I loaded a sound from the Korg Module, however, even though the volume slider is maximum the volume is still too low. Do you know if any setting is required to use this plugin in the Sunday Keys app?
So I understand if you want to keep the plug-in feature, you have to keep the subscription active . But you also mention saving plug-in sounds into your own user library , I assume those will also be lost if you don’t update subscription?
You can connect two keyboards by setting your controller choice to "All Devices" in the App's Midi Preferences, but you're not currently able to designate that a Sound only respond to one of those two controllers.
For now, the App doesn’t respond to an external clock directly, but you can easily lock the tempo of any patch to whatever bpm you need so it’s in sync with your songs :)
Great question. Song Patches will never require any third party plugins, they’ll always come with all the Sounds included. But if you ever want to, it’s easy to swap out any sound in a song patch for the plugin of your choice.
i try to use pure piano as auv3 and it works for some minutes in SK, but then after few minutes it crashes inside SK and does not works anymore and it displays a messege that it needs more than 2gb of ram.
Hmm, that's a great question. We may have to investigate that some! Couple places you can at least start: Korg Module has some string stuff you can purchase and sounds great. Our friends at StudioLogic have a really cool (and free) AUv3 plugin called "Numa Player" which, though basic, does include some good sounding strings. Lastly, DecentSampler has a number of different string libraries available to demo and purchase, though it does appear they lean more towards experimental string sounds and less straight up scoring/orchestral.
Currently Omnisphere is only available for Mac/Windows so you are not able to run it from an iPad, however you can run Omnisphere in the Mac version of the Sunday Keys App, as well as the Sunday Keys MainStage and Ableton Live Templates.
@@SundaySounds would be cool if you added the hosted plugin part of the demo, even for a limited time like 15 days. Impossible to test it without a license.
We don’t have plans to open that up in Demo Mode for now, but you could always take advantage of the 14-day money back guarantee if you purchase a License and try it out :)
Hello , anybody who has managed to go through the cumbersome process of registering the app and used it, could you mention what are the key advantages over Kymaticas AUM, so far it looks as you can do mostly the same things only this Sunday Keys has a nicer user interface , please explain . Thanks
Hey, since no one has replied we’ll throw in our two cents. AUM is an awesome App that’s incredibly deep, flexible, and powerful, and there are some things it can do that Sunday Keys can’t. It’s exceptional at generative styles of music making, and digging into complex midi and audio routing at a very involved and granular level. Sunday Keys is specifically focused more on live keyboard playing, and so focuses more on the hierarchy of Setlists> Patches > Sounds to make it easy to perform and seamlessly move through your presets. Because SK focuses on that live keys context there are a lot of features designed with that in mind. Patch Snapshots allow you to seamlessly crossfade between different volume and effect states within the same Patch. The Tonic Pad Player gives you an ambient pad you can both pre-program to your Setlist and dynamically adjust on the fly. And the biggest emphasis really is on always seamless audio, from Patch to Patch, and even when auditioning Sounds/Patches. That means you can even load a new Patch into your Setlist while on stage while still sustaining the notes of the Patch you had previously selected. Those are a few of the features we think make Sunday Keys useful, but then of course there’s the large built-in Sound Library and suite of audio and midi fx, etc. Hope that helps!
@@keesromijn4593 exactly what im trying to pull brother!!! I can do that on the MainStage template of Sunday keys by just adding a channel strip. but would be very cool I this can be accomplished inside of the template itself or even better in the app which I looove!
Okay. We can load plugins but the question I haven't heard answered is what about system overhead. How much mem/space does an IPAD have to have to support the type and amount of plugins shown in your plugin folder?
Great question. That's going to depend on the specific device you're using and its specs. More powerful/newer iPads are going to be able to handle more, especially if they have M1 or M2 chips. Always make sure you test out your desired configurations at home while you practice before taking them to the stage.

Are FX plugins also possible? I’d love to include my Eventide collection into SK? What happens to my plugin patches when my license runs expires? Are the plugins frozen (edit no longer possible) or disabled?
Only instrument plugins are supported, not fx for now. We may add that to our development roadmap down the road. If you let your license expire Sounds that use plugins will be disabled, but you can swap them out with an SK factory library sound or remove that Sound if you’d like and the rest of the Patch is not affected. If you reactivate your License later, you can pick back up right where you left off. Thanks for supporting us at Sunday Sounds!

I have some doubts about this. Does this update of being able to add third-party plugins also apply to effect plugins such as reverbs and delays? Or just for VSTs? The other question is how do I delete sound presets from the "User Library", because I added some sounds that I don't really like and I want to remove them from there, as they are taking up a lot of space, but I can't delete them.
Thanks for your comment. This update adds support for instrument plugins specifically, and does not include support for midi or audio fx plugins. @@SundaySounds Many thx for all the hard work, I am already switching from all the previous solution I had ^^. Sure, 3rd party midi or audio fx would be a blast, but as an old geek I really appreciate all the work you put in the app regarding the sounds, fx and arpeggiator !Really a great work, already spreading the news !!! :)
Thanks very much! We so appreciate it.
Ola, tem o keyscape pra iPad IOS?
Já sou usuário do sundaykeys, e queria usar o keyscape no iPad. Como usar?
Qual o link baixar keyscape pra iPad?
Keyscape isn’t available for iPad, so you’ll need to have a Mac and phrase Keyscape if you’d like to use it there :)
Can you add VSTs? Can i add Nexus or Kontakt?
We don’t have plans to support VST plugin format, but on Mac all major market plugins should have an Audio Unit format available, which is compatible! That means you can use the AU version of Kontakt, etc.
Is there Sunday keys on windows??😢 common please. Macs aren’t popular in Nigeria. Please tell me it’s available on windows
Sorry, it’s only available for iPad and Mac.
Is there a list of piano plugins we can buy from the App Store?
We don’t have a list, but you can search the App Store for “Piano AUv3” and it should give you a lot of relevant results.
Pure Piano looks nice
What stand are you using for your iPad? Link please. 🙏🏾
In this video the iPad Pro attaches straight to the top surface of the SL88 | Grand, which is magnetic!
@@SundaySounds I notice a small stand or tilted surface in a few of your videos. And others you have the iPad mounted on the side. Those look cool. Any links to those?
Yep, all of those are linked in the “gear” section of this video’s description :)
I have a question. My church audio is mono, do you guys have any solution for that ?
Sunday Keys can output in mono via a setting in the app.
@@SundaySounds I use Sunday keys with Ableton, anything for that?
Yep! You can sum your audio output to Mono in Settings> Audio.
@@SundaySounds okay. Thank you ☺
Wait so is Keyscape on the iPad?
Audio Unit v2 plugins in general are not compatible with iPad, only Mac. Keyscape is an Audio Unit plugin, and Spectrasonics have not made it compatible with iPad. Maybe they will someday!
Is it possible to make Sunday Keys an Auv3 plug in for recording purposes in Logic Pro for ipad?
Sorry, this isn’t possibly currently. Maybe some day :)
