I'm not going to say this is the best Rlaarlo XTS-F10 video I've watched so far...but, I definitely can't say it isn't the best. So far, all (and, I do mean ALL) of the other videos have only shown the XTS...NONE of them have compared it against any other RCs. So, SUPER ^5 for that. Honestly, I was already planning to get one (CF version) from the moment I heard about it...and, based on other videos I've already watched, they only confirmed my decision. The only decision I needed to make was whether to get the RTR...or whether to get the roller, and immediately install my own electronics. You can probably already guess what my decision was...but, read on for the info. I've already ordered what I'm referring to as my "Phase 1" upgrade parts, and will probably order the "Phase 2" parts sometime between just before Christmas, and early March. I don't plan on keeping the stock motor, ESC, or servo (the aluminum 'standard' servo mount is among the Phase 1 upgrade parts)...but, I did decide to get the RTR (as opposed to the roller, and having to immediately install my own electronics choices), as I want to do speed & handling comparisons of the vehicle fresh out of the box, followed by installation of the Phase 1 upgrades, and finally followed by installation of a combination of the Phase 2 upgrades & new motor/ESC. The 'plan' is to do something similar to what you did in your video, using 4 different 'courses' with all being against itself - a drag race, an all-out speedrun, a short on-road track, and a short off-road track (haven't decided yet whether, or not, it will include small jumps). Thank you, GREATLY, for your 'different' video. While others have covered ONLY the Rlaarlo car in their videos, your video REALLY Showed how it compares to other videos. Subscribed.
Nice, good comparison against some true rally rivals (and others) to find the best of the bunch with no nonsense. This car looks to be all I wanted it to be. Now all I need is release so I can buy one.
Alot of people kept mentioning those two specific cars going at it, so we bought the Traxxas and 3s swapped it just for the Rlaarlo to have a good dance partner. It ended up being a great matchup!
@ no being able to compare it against other vehicles is always a big plus. It really helps the audience (and/or potential buyer) get a better understanding of what they are looking at. The 45A Aluminum version gets down but this 60A Carbon version appears to be insane!
I am really glad to hear. Your channel has become my go to for honest reviews. I have not had much luck with the RLAARLO brand so maybe I will give them another try after seeing this. Thank you again.
I kid you not, I was thinking about every viewer who mentioned that matchup while we were filming this, you included. I'm glad you liked it. The Traxxas did put up a heck of a fight, probably made the Rlaarlo work harder than the other cars did, and the little XTS was able to just edge it!
I've seen some people complaining about it being too slow.! 🤯 😲 These people always make me laugh.. It's like they don't know that pinion gears exist.! This one literally has a SPEED PINION in the box.!! What do they think a speed pinion is for.? 😂 😂 Whenever people ask me "How fast is your RC".? I usually reply.. "It depends how fast I want it to be". Because it literally does just depend on how fast you'd like it to go.! You can pick up a Rocket 7000kv motor for like £12/$15 & an 80 amp ESC for £20/$25 that'll make your RC do close to 100 mph.!! (if you can keep it on the ground & going straight) 😉 I bet this one easily cracks 50 mph on just a pinion swap.!
Yep, people will find a reason to complain about anything rather than appreciate the fact that we live in a world which allows us to enjoy simple pleasures like driving an RC car and enjoying it for what it offers. That's not to say there aren't some bad RC cars, but most of them do deliver close to what you expect. Then there are those few, like this Rlaarlo that exceed expectations and defy common knowledge. It's a privilege to be able to use it to have a good time with my friends and family. That's my outlook.
looks great. I wish they would sent both metal and carbon version so there cane be head to head on them. I like the Ken Block inspired livery on the Metal version.
@@Rlaarlo I just wanted to personally thank Rlaarlo for making such an AMAZING car, AND for allowing the Rek RC team to be part of the launch by letting us test this astonishing car! THANK YOU RLAARLO!!!!!!

Bravo Rlaarlo! I knew they’d hit a bullseye 🎯 with a rally car! The handling of this is hard to beat. What’s big power if the thing can’t handle ! The only thing I would like to see from Rlaarlo is some fender and chassis enclosures to seal out debris that can hinder the power train and electronics. If they come up with something for that, this car would be on the podium for best Rc of the year! As always fantastic and very entertaining shakedown! Great work guys!
That's a tough one, haven't gotten the new Senton yet, but it's our next new car review. The Rlaarlo is amazing, but I've heard it new senton is as well.
The scale is more for parts reference, the engineer from axial said most are off anyway to there counterparts and at this point manufacturers need to do this or it would be to costly and confusing if they really made the cars scale . I think the riarrlo is orig 10 , the slash was 10th but bumpers made it size of 8th than rally car went bigger so body could cover it lol , I have original body still from 2008 imagine how good it was than , really only show in town
But at least this is exactly the size of Tamiya 1/10 !! So that means now we can run our very cool Tamiya bodies without worrying to break something, plus with top performances !! For example we have so many fantastic Tamiya rallye car bodies……. I’m dreaming to have this Rlaarlo and put a nice Subaru on it, adapting the lights to keep the crazy exhaust bangs etc…
Cool video! I sorta wish you utilized the drone in a higher up, more static position. Whoever is controlling it obviously knows how to fly, but that don't mean he has to race too!
@SuperScottCrawford well, no I didn't think so. There could be many people who would like to see a bit of static too down view like you mentioned, sort of like the old RC Pro Am games. I could see some entertainment value in that for a race or two.
Liked and subscribed. I really like this car but I am not familiar with the brand. Been out of the hobby since lipos became the new norm. That said, just ordered a Team Corally Syncro4 and a Arrma BLX. Just a question. I need a charger. Was looking at the Dynamite Passport 100w and the Ultra Power 100w. Trying to stay under $100 with the hopes of avoiding my wife's wrath. Is there a big difference between these two chargers? I am only going to run 2s to start out. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Also where can you purchase this rally car? I live in SC USA. Thank you kindly!
I actually use budget hobby balance chargers and they haven't failed me one single time. 60 dollars and with a cooling fan built in, able to charge up to 8s and up to 8a
Question two. What and how easily can you purchase replace parts when needed? Does the gyro in your view take away from the driving experience? Meaning from the point of view of old purists? Again, I am just climbing back into the hobby so gyros were not around when I use to race.
Rlaarlo actually has reliable parts support through their own website, as for the gyro, it's adjustable from the radio and really improves handling a great deal!
OH HECK YES.!!! FINALLY.!!!! 👍 👍 👍 I've been waiting for this video. I love the way you do your videos. I'm definitely going to get myself one of these ASAP.! Please stay safe out there mate & the very best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️ 👍 👍 👍
Actually, Adam is the overall better driver than I am. It's just that the dirt is the one area where I'm at my best, as for the races on the road, I just had the better handling car. We even switched cars to make sure the car was the difference, and the Rlaarlo still won whoever was driving. I hope you liked the video and I really appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Freaking awesome car! Scale is usually by wheelbase 😉 By wheelbase I call it 1/12. I put a Willy's on a 1/10 crawler chassis (was a bronco) the body might be 1/6 ... But my ass is still on the 1/10 course. It won't do 1/6 courses because the wheelbase is 1/10 If you put a hoon pickup body on the rally chassis guess what.... 1/12 lol 😂
@Rek_Rc Yep those scales are pretty close.. Funny you used to little Losi for comparison,, every time I've seen it I thought "cool ass 1/12 truck your buddy built." Thanks for the vids 👍
@@GSG-lc5zmThe Rlaarlo wheelbase is 257mm, this is exactly the same as Tamiya 1/10 TT-02 chassis I think this is the best example to visualize the size of this pretty beast. I would say that’s traditional 1/10 scale for production cars, especially if we compare with real sizes… For example, the real Ford Fiesta got a wheelbase of 2493mm. Another example: real Subaru Impreza 22B 1998 wheelbase: 2520mm Tamiya TT-02: 251mm to 257mm. (We can adjust it) Rlaarlo XTS F10: 257mm, so perfect 1/10 scale ! 👍
Its all in the driver.. the chase guy was swinging wide and not a racing line in sight. I'd like more testing with a timed lap same driver. Not sold yet. Looks like it drives nice, but I don't think this was a fair trial.
@@Rek_Rc Oh, well that's very interesting! I have loved this hobby for a long time and the fleet has gotten pretty big! My next purchase is going to be a Typhon Grom 223S BLX, I wonder how it'd handle against that on 2 or 3s?! The way it hung with the 6s Mojave is nuts! Although, I think my 4s Mojave would put up a fight.. or the et48, but that's not the point. Nice budget fun!
@@gabemiller9873 the new Arrma line is going to be awesome! I'm excited for them as well! I believe a 4s Mojave would have been better suited for the right track against the Rlaarlo
I'm so glad someone FINALLY asked us that! And the answer is, the Senton is getting a new motor and ESC soon, so it's without electrics for the moment, or it would have been in these races probably before anything else besides the Rlaarlo itself. But, it will be making an appearance in the new V4 Senton video we're planning. I might even fix the paint job on the old girl for that occasion.
Well, the car is actually really good, but there's no way that Traxxas is a 1/10 scale. I love that thing, and it gave the Rlaarlo a heck of a fight. But that is a 1/8 scale car all day
@@Rek_Rc Thinking back, the Rlaarlo AK-917 RTR full electrics models offered the backfire LED too. But who would see them if they are just being used as speedrun vehicles all the time 🤷♂
The indicator lights are the one thing I don't like about many RTR lighting kits, everything else about them is awesome, but I agree they should stop with the indicators.
No, the "paid promotion" notation in the beginning of the video is a requirement by RUclips of any channel which receives products, sponsorships, or financial compensation for a video. In our case, Rlaarlo sent us the car, qualifying the video as sponsored, and containing product placement. If a channel fails to disclose such a detail, it could result in deletion. So we always disclose when we receive any products. However, we decline all commissions offered by manufacturers of RC cars. We aren't salesmen, we aim to entertain, and inform.
Real comment: I think Rlaarlo is going to be pleased with your tests and production values. They'll be sending you plenty of cars in the future, and you earned it! Nice driving you two, and nice drone footage, Tado. I believe dip switches are reverse for the 4 channels.
Rlaarlo es igual a basura,no os dejéis engañar,lo barato sale caro, los coche de esta marca un dia falla una cosa y otro dia otra, los youtubers nos meten por los ojos productos basura como esta marca, porque les pagan
I didn't get paid for this video. The car really performed exactly as it does in the video. Would you take it to a skatepark and expect it not to break? No, but you'd break an XMAXX at a skatepark just as easily. Also Rlaarlo offers actual parts support direct from their website. Remember this, there was a time in history where Traxxas and Arrma were both laughed off by more established brand names as well.

Thank you, GREATLY, for your 'different' video. While others have covered ONLY the Rlaarlo car in their videos, your video REALLY Showed how it compares to other videos. Subscribed.
What a comment, and a compliment as well! Thank you sincerely!
Everyone was amazing! Especially the commentators and the drone camera work🔥
We really appreciate that! We try hard every video and this car made this video great!
Nice, good comparison against some true rally rivals (and others) to find the best of the bunch with no nonsense. This car looks to be all I wanted it to be. Now all I need is release so I can buy one.
It lived up to, and EXCEEDED ALL expectations!
This was freaking awesome!!!
Thank you for taking a second to tell us that, we genuinely appreciate it.
Dude, you are making great videos! Please keep it up!
Thank you so much, we'll do our best to keep them coming!
Great Videos u have, Rek RC
Thank you! We also have great viewers and supporters like you, and we feel very lucky for that.

BEST RTR LIGHT KIT EVER!
@@Rek_Rc 10000%
Nice 👍. Well done 👏, better diff cups . Thanks rlaarlo
Rlaarlo is evolving with every new release, and we get to watch it happen!
Hey Rek Rc, can you do a Redcat Valkyrie MT vs MJX Hyper Go 1/10 to show which one is better. Please and thank you.
Yeah best review I’ve seen so far. Nice1 n that.
WOW, thank you! I was impressed by a few other channels content as well. Got me thinking of possible collabs for the future!
Great video, great review, great fun and awesome races! Last part crackt me up😂
Hahahaha yeah I couldn't get my own outro phrase that I've been doing for like 100 videos right this time. I couldn't believe my own ears!
Great video! I wondered how it would compare to the Traxxas Rally-Slash. Keep up the great content 👍
Been waiting for this from your channel. Thank you
I really hope you enjoy it, we had so much fun with this video! The car was AMAZING!
I am really glad to hear. Your channel has become my go to for honest reviews. I have not had much luck with the RLAARLO brand so maybe I will give them another try after seeing this. Thank you again.
What a great video. I wonder how he would have done against the Arrma Infraction 3S. That is my favourite street basher so far.
That would be a great match up. We may have to make that happen.
This car looks crazy! Sad it beat my mjx rally car lol . I need to get one my goodness!
I was also surprised it beat the MJX as well, but that's ok, the MJX still punches way above its weight class.
Chaques vidéos est un véritable spectacle 👍 big up from France 😉✌️
Thank you, and hello there from the USA!
@Rek_Rc 😃😃😃👍
Finally got to see this against the Traxxas. Great video brother, keep em coming. That exhaust is my favotite little touch
These people always make me laugh.. It's like they don't know that pinion gears exist.!
This one literally has a SPEED PINION in the box.!!
What do they think a speed pinion is for.? 😂 😂
Whenever people ask me "How fast is your RC".?
I usually reply..
"It depends how fast I want it to be".
Because it literally does just depend on how fast you'd like it to go.!
You can pick up a Rocket 7000kv motor for like £12/$15 & an 80 amp ESC for £20/$25 that'll make your RC do close to 100 mph.!! (if you can keep it on the ground & going straight) 😉
I bet this one easily cracks 50 mph on just a pinion swap.!
I'm curious about the metal version myself actually, I saw a few channels got that version and it seems to perform great as well.
Awesome car,Awesome channel Awesome guys! Nice review gentleman.
Thank you so much! It's easy to make a good video when the subject car is that good!
Can't wait to get this, and love the weight. But to simulate the weight to scale, this car should be 11kg.
It's very well balanced. They really did hit a home run with this car
Best shootouts on RUclips
You have no idea how much those 4 words you commented mean to us! THANK YOU!
Is the front receiver box also a servo mount?
Dual receiver box design supports multiple modification layouts and allows for standard-size servo replacements.😝
@@Rlaarlo I just wanted to personally thank Rlaarlo for making such an AMAZING car, AND for allowing the Rek RC team to be part of the launch by letting us test this astonishing car! THANK YOU RLAARLO!!!!!!
Great video guys
Thank you for watching an taking a second to let us know you enjoyed it!

First review I've seen of it Awesome! 🔥 💯 🏆 👏 I always check here now for what's what. My collection is almost starting to look like yours 😎
OMG thank you! I do hope your collection isn't as beaten up as mine though hahahaha
@@Rek_Rc A few battle wounds adds character lol..
I just received the MJX 14303 and the UDIRC 1607 Pro- is in transit.
I plan to remove the front drive shafts on the 1607 Pro and upgrade the esc to 3s. Should I upgrade the motor?
Still watching your videos 🔥
How do you mount your phone to the transmitter?? Trying myself.
Scoache magic mount. They make it so easy!
Thanks!!, which one? And are they reusable? (can I take the mount off and put it on a different transmitter)?
best test ive seen, absolutely fantastic car 😎😎😎👍👍
A car that good makes it easy to make a good video with. All we had to do was turn on the cameras, and watch it go.
Amazing drone shots👍👍 such a fun vid! That rally car looks like a real winner✌️
I expected it to be good, and it still exceed my expectations! What a car!
such an awesome review! That car performs so well!
That car blew me away just like it did its competition!
@@Rek_Rc Epic, now i gotta see if i can get one to do some cinematic filming :)
would love to see this vs the hpi wr8!!
We're working on making that happen eventually
The ralley is a 8th scale becau it’s wheel base is 325 mm and uses the same shell as a gtb chassis .
I couldn't agree more! Big power is great, and fun, but mostly useless if you can't put the power down!
I would not include anything 1/8 scale in this comparison. Especially the "1/10" Fiesta just for the sake of being fair. Entertaining video, though 👍
U guys are the best! Keep making videos!!!!
Thank you for the kind words, we'll keep making them, if you keep watching them!

Great video bro. Awesome races🫡🏎🚀
I wish I had a track like yours though. We do improvise well with what we have. But your track is just the best!
@Rek_Rc its rough and thats the Rek way! Dont change it people love its roughness bro💯🫡💪🏼
Hey, great video! Quick question: this RLAARLO or the new Senton 223?
That's a tough one, haven't gotten the new Senton yet, but it's our next new car review. The Rlaarlo is amazing, but I've heard it new senton is as well.
@Rek_Rc cool! Can't wait for your review. Keep on doing a great job guys!
Lol...this video gave me a smiling headache 😂😂..nice!!🛻💨🏁👍👍
I was wondering if the sense of motion would translate to the viewers. i was afraid it could become disorienting, but in a fun way i hope!
@Rek_Rc it was for sure👍👍
I can't wait a real 1/10 scale MT from rlaarlo , well done with the video btw ❤
Thank you, and I'm really excited to see where Rlaarlo goes from here. They are really cranking out great cars and trucks lately!
@Rek_Rc i was also thinking they trying to do better and better , can't believe was better then traxxas rally car in the video 👀
Thank u for skipping the box stuff and getting straight to the point that everyone wants to see!!
I can't really pull off the whole unboxing thing. I feel the same as you, I just want to get to the action!
Very impressive. Nice racing guys 🤘🏻
That little car is just incredibly able!
@@Rek_RcSo good I’m back to watch again 😁 Got a bit distracted the first time… lol
@EJ-74 WOW, thank you Buddy! A repeat view, I love it!
Damn that Rlaarlo is kicking alot of ass out there😂.
It really is! By the boat load!
Impressive 💯💪🏿
Thank you, that car was very impressive!
Its more of a 1/8th scale short wheelbase. Or M-class
If all the companies could at least agree to get scale right. 👍🏻
An industry standard would be nice
But at least this is exactly the size of Tamiya 1/10 !!
So that means now we can run our very cool Tamiya bodies without worrying to break something, plus with top performances !!
For example we have so many fantastic Tamiya rallye car bodies……. I’m dreaming to have this Rlaarlo and put a nice Subaru on it, adapting the lights to keep the crazy exhaust bangs etc…
Cool video!
I sorta wish you utilized the drone in a higher up, more static position. Whoever is controlling it obviously knows how to fly, but that don't mean he has to race too!
We'll try to mix it up a bit more
@Rek_Rc I was just talking out my ass. Pay me no heed.
Thank you for the content!!
👍👍
@SuperScottCrawford well, no I didn't think so. There could be many people who would like to see a bit of static too down view like you mentioned, sort of like the old RC Pro Am games. I could see some entertainment value in that for a race or two.
@Rek_Rc You the man. Thx. 👊
Which would you recommend, Mojave Grom 3s or Rlaarlo carbon fiber rally ?
For handling and racing, Rlaarlo, for bashing and jumping, GROM.
Traxxas Rally or Rlaarlo Carbon Fiber ?
Traxxas Ford Fiesta ST 4x4 VXL Brushless
Or Rlaarlo Carbon ?
60 dollars and with a cooling fan built in, able to charge up to 8s and up to 8a
@Rek_Rc Thank you. I was looking at a Dynamite brand one that is discounted. Originally, 137, on sale for 67. 100w to each port.
REC I need a small screw. CAN u HELp?
Question two. What and how easily can you purchase replace parts when needed? Does the gyro in your view take away from the driving experience? Meaning from the point of view of old purists? Again, I am just climbing back into the hobby so gyros were not around when I use to race.
Rlaarlo actually has reliable parts support through their own website, as for the gyro, it's adjustable from the radio and really improves handling a great deal!
Did I see a Mojave 6s¿¡
You sure did, we raced it against the Rlaarlo
How it shoots flames? Need some liquid or what?

@@tado921 that's what I meant hahahah
@@Rek_Rc wow so realistic
Is it realy better than the Traxxas ford ?
Yes, out of the box, it is.
You didn’t say what pinion you used to race with stock or speed??? Dirt races
Stock pinion for those.
You should invest a HPI WR8 flux and race against this rally car
We're looking into it
@Rek_Rc yippie
Difficulty is to compare cars at less with same dimensions and same weight. And eventually same pilot.
😂😂
OH HECK YES.!!!
FINALLY.!!!! 👍 👍 👍

You really leave us nice comments and I sure do appreciate the heck out of you for it.
The donut driving the other cars needs some lessons in driving 🤣
Actually, Adam is the overall better driver than I am. It's just that the dirt is the one area where I'm at my best, as for the races on the road, I just had the better handling car. We even switched cars to make sure the car was the difference, and the Rlaarlo still won whoever was driving. I hope you liked the video and I really appreciate you taking the time to comment.
@ i meant no disrespect just made me laugh and the video is upvoted already
Freaking awesome car!
Scale is usually by wheelbase 😉
By wheelbase I call it 1/12.
I put a Willy's on a 1/10 crawler chassis (was a bronco) the body might be 1/6 ...
But my ass is still on the 1/10 course. It won't do 1/6 courses because the wheelbase is 1/10
If you put a hoon pickup body on the rally chassis guess what.... 1/12
lol 😂
1/12 vs 1/10 is a fair argument either way. I could see points for both sides.
@Rek_Rc
Yep those scales are pretty close..
Funny you used to little Losi for comparison,, every time I've seen it I thought "cool ass 1/12 truck your buddy built."
Thanks for the vids 👍
@@GSG-lc5zmThe Rlaarlo wheelbase is 257mm, this is exactly the same as Tamiya 1/10 TT-02 chassis
I think this is the best example to visualize the size of this pretty beast.
I would say that’s traditional 1/10 scale for production cars, especially if we compare with real sizes…
For example, the real Ford Fiesta got a wheelbase of 2493mm.
Another example: real Subaru Impreza 22B 1998 wheelbase: 2520mm
Tamiya TT-02: 251mm to 257mm. (We can adjust it)
Rlaarlo XTS F10: 257mm, so perfect 1/10 scale ! 👍
Sponsored by rlaarlo /s
Does that change the results? They are what they are, sponsored or not.
Its all in the driver.. the chase guy was swinging wide and not a racing line in sight. I'd like more testing with a timed lap same driver. Not sold yet. Looks like it drives nice, but I don't think this was a fair trial.
Well we switched cars and the rlarrlo still won. The other guy is actually the better driver of the two of us.
Where's the Senton?
I'm so glad someone FINALLY asked us that! And the answer is, the Senton is getting a new motor and ESC soon, so it's without electrics for the moment, or it would have been in these races probably before anything else besides the Rlaarlo itself. But, it will be making an appearance in the new V4 Senton video we're planning. I might even fix the paint job on the old girl for that occasion.
You guys are awesome omg
Thank you!! You're awesome!
Can I have whatever Traxxas was smoking?
Well, the car is actually really good, but there's no way that Traxxas is a 1/10 scale. I love that thing, and it gave the Rlaarlo a heck of a fight. But that is a 1/8 scale car all day
@@Rek_Rc I totally agree with you. Is the XTS the first rally car RC offered out of the box with backfire exhaust??
@teinspringz it's the first that I know of, but I'm not totally sure
@@Rek_Rc Thinking back, the Rlaarlo AK-917 RTR full electrics models offered the backfire LED too. But who would see them if they are just being used as speedrun vehicles all the time 🤷♂
So silly seeing is race around using blinkers. Why do they do that?
The indicator lights are the one thing I don't like about many RTR lighting kits, everything else about them is awesome, but I agree they should stop with the indicators.
Is this sponsored?
@@Boogie_the_cat Thank You Sir!
