At age of ten, Memon learnt to play the violin, saxophone and guitar. He was eventually eliminated from the competition after Keating, Sebastian and Bassingthwaighte chose to save Jade.
Memon released his debut single "Love I Can Afford" independently on 14 February 2013.[18] His second single "Official" was released on 16 August 2013, through independent label Social Family Records. "Official" was written by Newton Faulkne

Did you ever think he pronounced it that way to show the judges how to say it because incase you didnt notice they dont speak arabic and if he pronounced his name right to them theyll probablu butcher it and say it worse so he pronounced it the closest way he thought theyd be able to say

lol im betting you're not very experienced when it comes to singing. he is definitely not faking. his voice was softened by the performance, which is why it was better after and he was clearly resting beforehand which is why it was rough at the start. it is entirely possible to pull off a performance like that after losing your voice to the extent that he did, it just takes work.
