Hi Giselle, my husband and I are LOVING ALL your videos…. I am a fellow youtuber and egyptian (living in Canada). We are planning a trip to Egypt this September and we were wondering what are the best apps to have while in Egypt. I love to see your success. Keep going. Your videos are amazing. I even got my parents hooked on them as well. Xox
Ahaha, thanks lady! That's so cool you got your parents to watch ❤️ 😄 😎 As far as apps in Egypt, I think just the normal apps. For taxis there's Uber, InDriver, Didi or Careem. Swivl for buses, although I never use that because I just take Go Bus, motorcycle taxis or ride my own motorcycle. Talabat if you are ordering food or groceries. Vezeeta for medical related stuff (clinics, pharmacies, making doc appointments, etc.) I think that's pretty much it. I have other travel apps that are always on my phone, such as travelspend to track my spending (shown in USD and the currency of the country you are spending in). XE currency exchange app to be able to see updated exchange rates of whatever currencies you choose. And google maps, google translate, etc.
Mannequins on the pavement 😅 Interesting! I really loved the old city although it's a little bit messy. I’m surprised that NO SCAMMERS appeared on your video. Cheers for the vid🥂

Hello.. My name is Ayman. I live in the State of Kuwait.. I am Egyptian from Alexandria.. I have not visited my country for years.. How grateful I am for this trip. Thank you.
I wonder how much profit the motorbike driver made on a 42 cent fare. Uber prices did give me a real sense of the economy in Egypt. I loved the vender with the bird. Second best was the driver using his phone while driving. Sweet video!
Lol, yeah Egypt, so crazy, I love it 🤣🥰 I don't think Uber drivers make a lot, but I don't really know. If they have a car they can make more i think, as it is more expensive and maybe people tip more. I actually usually tip more often, but in the beginning of the day I was being cautious to make it last
Those 42 cents or 20 Egyptian pounds gets you in Egypt what $2 gets you in the U.S in terms of purchasing power give or take. So basically slash a zero from the Egyptian prices in pound and you’ll get a sense. Current actual minimum net wage is around 4,000 Egyptian pounds and an average salary of a 40yro white collar employee at a decent job would be around 16,000 give or take which is around the net income of an uber driver owning the car also if they work 10 hours a day.
I and my fiancée were talking about haggling the prices in Egypt a couple of days ago!! I would say u did it well ! I am Egyptian, but I don't haggle that well lol

I am from Alexandria. I was thinking about going on a trip to Cairo. I think I will go to Bab Zuweila. Thanks for the video. I have become Egyptian.
You are certainly Egyptian if you are from Alex 😄 Enjoy Cairo and I hope you enjoy Bab Zuweila, it is certainly is a stunning place ❤️
I appreciated the foreign perspective on my home country; your videos are positive, interesting, and highlight what we consider normal, like a field trip.
I will check out your journey in Egypt videos and enjoy them.
Thank you for the content; please keep it up!😍
Thank you so much Walid! ❤️ 🙏
مصر منوره بيكي ❤
Definitely can stretch that $20 usd! Can't wait to go myself and do what you are doing.
Enjoy ur time in Egypt!
Egyptians are nice & safe people like many Arabs in Middle East, Iraqis almost same Egyptian brothers!
Stay safe!
let me thank you thousands of times!! you are really doing a great job I always share your videos with my foreigner colleagues who are visiting Egypt ... Thanks again and enjoy your stay in Egypt
Thank you so much! ❤️🙏
Really enjoyed this! I love Bab Zuweila, felafel, sailing on the Nile - and your new scarf is my favourite colour! This very interesting video shows what fun you can have when you leave the (boring/expensive) tour groups behind to enjoy independent adventures!
Absolutely! That's why I almost never take tours, I don't like to travel in a bubble being herded around by someone 😅 I always tell people "As long as you're comfortable, and if you really want to authentically experience a country, just go out and explore on your own!" Thanks Lesley 🥰
You are so brave, good job
You Rock! Love watching your videos!! Thank you for all the great content.
❤️🙏
A pleasure to visit Cairo with you! Keep on, 😊
Thank you for the amazing video! I especially liked sailing on the Nile. 💙 The scarf is great! 💜
Thank you waternymph! 🥰
Hi i am a new subscriber i am from egypt and i love it so much and its a good country
Awesome, thanks for subscribing, and welcome to the channel! 🥰
Great presentation love it
You are amazing...went to places myself as an Egyptian didn't go there...eating street food i never dare to eat...drinking juice and enjoy Cairo that i miss too much🎉❤😊
Ay? Lay?! How can you be Egyptian and not eat street food and drink juice?! 🤣 You must be joking 😄
Your videos are a nice break from content about Egypt that keeps putting it in bad light and focuses on the wrong things. Thanks for sharing your positive experience of this beautiful country.
Thank you so much! What can I say, I love living here 😁
Gisselle
Another great video
Obviously, $20 can go along way in Egypt 🇪🇬
In NYC $20 buys a lunch
Gisselle
Did you get used to the hot weather?
Your arabic improved a lot.
Yeah $20 for lunch, that's crazy.
Not really 😅 I've acclimated a bit since I've been here 2.5 years now, but it's still bloody hot in the summer 😂
@@Gventures between you and Gisselle
IT IS TOO DAMN HOT 🥵
This why Winter is the best
ie between October and April is the best in EGYPT 🇪🇬
so I commend you that you could get acclimated to the Egyptian summer
The boat ride on the river was very good. I'll do it to too, but in Luxor or Aswan when I visit Egypt in late October this year. It was fun to watch your video. Thanks.
Thank you!
You picked the perfect dates for the southern Egypt visit 👌
@@Atiye.Ahmet.007 thank you. It will be my first visit to Egypt and to an African country in fact. I'm excited already. Best.
Was a really fun watch thanks for posting. Stay safe and keep on bargaining!
thanks for reminding us of the magic of the fellucca ride in the afternoon.. great
Hi Giselle, my husband and I are LOVING ALL your videos….
That's so cool you got your parents to watch ❤️ 😄 😎
As far as apps in Egypt, I think just the normal apps.
For taxis there's Uber, InDriver, Didi or Careem. Swivl for buses, although I never use that because I just take Go Bus, motorcycle taxis or ride my own motorcycle.
Talabat if you are ordering food or groceries.
Vezeeta for medical related stuff (clinics, pharmacies, making doc appointments, etc.)
I think that's pretty much it. I have other travel apps that are always on my phone, such as travelspend to track my spending (shown in USD and the currency of the country you are spending in). XE currency exchange app to be able to see updated exchange rates of whatever currencies you choose. And google maps, google translate, etc.
@@Gventures sooo helpful thanks a million 😘
Very nice Mashaa Al❤❤
Mannequins on the pavement 😅
Interesting! I really loved the old city although it's a little bit messy. I’m surprised that NO SCAMMERS appeared on your video. Cheers for the vid🥂
I really enjoy your videos, you're so positive and we share a love for the country and its people 🥰

Hello iam from Egypt welcome to Egypt ❤
Egypt is a wonderful country am currently in egypt😊
That view of Cairo was amazing!!
Yes, it's probably one of, if not my favorite, ancient site of Cairo. You can sit up there as long as you want, just looking out over the city, all alone....it's perfect.
The uber driving scene was so cool better than in the movies 😊
Good for you climbing those stairs. I would of had a asthma attack 😅 😂great video ❤Charmain
WOW! that’s a huge workout. God bless you all your videos❤️
Haha, yes I definitely got my exercise in that day. Thanks so much! ❤️🙏

Hello.. My name is Ayman. I live in the State of Kuwait.. I am Egyptian from Alexandria.. I have not visited my country for years.. How grateful I am for this trip. Thank you.
I'm following you from Egypt
nice one, I just found you in my analytics tabs, it looks like we where at the same place at the same time.
I subscribe !
Nice man! Looks like you have an interesting channel as well, I also subscribed 😁 You still in Egypt?
Another amazing video Giselle I can't get enough keep up the amazing work.
Thank you so much! ❤️🙏
I and my fiancée were talking about haggling the prices in Egypt a couple of days ago!! I would say u did it well ! I am Egyptian, but I don't haggle that well lol
