It's been three years since Kobra And The Lotus' last studio album 'High Preistess' was released back in 2014. The time since has not been wasted, with their third album under their belt, and completing multiple tours worldwide (with the likes of Kamelot, Sonata Arctica and Demon Hunter to name a few), their path of self-discovery has led them to this most important moment in their career. 'Prevail I", the band's latest offering, is a rock juggernaut full of blistering guitars, pounding rhythms and haunting vocal melodies that will take the listener on a sonic journey leading them out from the darkness and into the light. Produced by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epica etc) and mastered by Grammy award winning Ted Jensen, and featuring the soon to be classic songs “You Don’t Know” and “Light Me Up” that will undoubtedly usher the band to much deserved elevated hard rock status. Evolution is inevitable and Kobra And The Lotus have delivered their most powerful album to date, PREVAIL I, with PREVAIL II to complete the story in the not too distant future...

Her vocals have really grown. I love it. As far as those who say it’s “not metal,” I’ll just point out that it sounds a LOT like Queensryche. Which, last I checked, was still metal. In fact, it was metal before today’s metal was metal. My generation turned metal into a force to be reckoned with. I can’t begin to describe the feeling of hearing “The Lady Wore Black” for the first time. Metal.
It doesn’t have to be 1000 mph all the time. And there’s definitely a place for solid vocals by someone who can sing. Ask Rob Halford, Geoff Tate, or the ghost of Ronny James Dio.

interesting, b/c as an American, the first band I thought of was...Nightwish in the Tarja Turunen days. I may also recommend the band Within Temptation. Personally I like their songs What About Us, Dangerous, and Faster, but they aren't as metal as this. You may prefer some of their others.
I agree with your opinion. Metal is incredibly varied, I believe the most varied genre in music today. And as we have seen throughout the formative years, it has evolved dramatically. One can love more than one type of Metal.
FUCKIN' THANK YOU, I'm 54 now, and i remenber metal befor the COOKIE MONSTER started joining bands, when this : #, was still the "number symbol" or"pound sign ", not the FUCKIN' hash tag,
i let some young kid (about 16 or so), listen to my stuff i recorded, and he was like , cool, so you're like "BLACKENED DEATH METAL" ?, and i just kinda looked at him sorta' puzzeled , and said , ya , i supose so ?????, there weren't 173 different styles of metal , just levels of heavy , from RATT to DIO to PRIEST & QUEENSRYCHE , to like a whole different thing like CELTIC FROST & VENOM,, now everything has to be extreme or the younguns' think it aint' metal,, i could try to play madonna and it would still sound like slayer, it's just how i play, my point is it's still heavy metal , fuckin' all of it

As a recently new Kobra and The Lotus fan, I have to say that Kobra's vocals are very unmatched when it comes to her tone, style, and deliverance. She has her own unique sound that really gives the already driving riffs the extra push they need! Extremely impressed with this band!

what you call chaos in the world could in fact well be orchestrated to manipulate the mass and slolwly change the system think about how it was back in 2001 and now. So it's aint chaos what you see in the world but more like a ordered situation.

Great Canadian band trying to bring Metal back to North America.....one thing I've always loved about Kobra Paige's vocals is she is incredibly clean and clear, I've never had to look up anything in her lyrics before as you can always understand the words she's singing

Radio, at least down here in SW FLORIDA, doesn't play Power Metal.....until last night when I heard this band for the 1st time.
I immediately called up the DJ to find out who this band was and where they were from.
I was shocked to learn CANADA!!!
I've been in to European Power Metal Bands like Primal Fear, Stratavarious among many others.
It's only taken 15 years for this kind if REAL METAL to hit the Airwaves here and hopefully all across the United States!!!!

When Napalm signed up these guys I thought Kobra was another pretty girl fronting another metal band just because it's popular. Having seen them live, I can say that Kobra is the real deal. I hope these guys get more positive attention in the future.

Saw them last night, got my ass kicked by their power and the brilliant performance and did not regret a minute.
And super nice, after the show they had to get trough the venue to walk to the bus and they were probably stopped by 20-25 people for pics and chats and they did them all without even once hesitating or making a face.
Super impressed by them, cant wait to see them again

I have all of their CD's. They are an excellent band making quality metal. That's all I need to say. Kobra is an awesome singer and performer with a fantastic voice. The fact that she's beautiful is definitely a plus, but her talent is undeniable.

I saw them open for KISS/Def Leppard 3 years ago pretty good but never really looked into them maybe I should now.
They've upped their game a great deal since then. I have a preview copy of the new album and it is by far their best. They definitely surprised me, and I'm already looking forward to Pt II.
I thought it was July 2015. I took my 7 year old kids to that show. My kids first concert. They loved it. Def Leppard did far better than I expected. But Kobra Paige really rocked it live. She is both gorgeous and very talented.
It was 2014 for me in July even I know because so many things happened that year. 1st I graduated High School, 2nd KISS got into the Hall of Fame, and 3rd this was actually my first concert ever.
Well sure enough I had to look it up. It was July 5th, 2014 at the Verizon Wireless in Irvine California. That kicks ass. I wanted to get my kids in their first show when they were young. I bought some expensive floor seats over looking everyone so they wouldn't miss anything. I took them to see Behemoth last year.
