This movie has such awesome super speed scenes. The way he jumps on the missiles and destroys them while simultaneously outrunning the explosions, how he outruns that nuclear blast and it’s shockwaves. It’s so cool.
I’m a bigger fan of the series original style and tone, but that was a much better depiction of a nuke than most series do! To instill a sense of horror you don’t have to kill off named characters or torture someone, just show the needless and casual killing of innocent, good people..

In the following scenes, the blonde guy goes to pull neckties by his bosses like: "Blood was pouring from pilot's neck like..." and NSA high asses are like: "yes, left side, of neck, we are well aware of that. We kinda forgot to inform you we secretely work for "his voice" organization." So the bad guys in this anime are the: "who manages hotels and hosts the enemy, instead of milking camels is not a true comrade" guys.
This looks good despite the low FPS. It almost feels like this remake/reboot of Cyborg 009 still use 2D animation instead of CGI. It's really worth to watch this anime. Now we need is another Astro Boy remake, and it will use the art style, 3D CGI animation and low FPS as this newest Cyborg 009 anime.
Aside from Sonic the Hedgehog which has always been my go to for a cool looking run, [PROTOTYPE] was the first semi realistic game I saw where the protagonist looks like he's going in hard while sprinting. There was also Connor in Assassin's Creed 3 which had the best mo-capped run cycle in my opinion but you can't move particularly fast on foot in that game.
The first wave lights you on fire. Your fabrics and your skin burns to mush. Then, while you are burning in agony, the second wave hits. It's like a wave of fire. This one is completely bright and ten times bigger than the first one.

+Semeyaza It's actually about Mach 2 initially, then there's the overpressure from the wave reflected from the ground, so you end up with generally Mach 3 or 4 winds.
An explosion is much faster then Mach 1 that's near lightspeed, much faster then lightning to near the top speed of it. He was moving extremely fast to escape the explosion not just the shock wave which comes far after the actual explosion.

Nice scene, but they missed that even he can't outrun light, and the real thing that burns everything BEFORE the air shock wave is the high energy ionizing radiation.
He didn’t outrun it he had about 56 seconds before it exploded he only outran the speed of the initial heat and shockwave..based on the fact that he could see the blinding light means it had already hit him

核爆発から逃げるには加速装置が必要だが、助けようとしても生身の人間があの加速に耐えられる訳ないから、皆と一緒に自分も死ぬか、自分のみ加速装置で逃げるしかないと思うんだが。
今気づいたのですが009の加速装置の能力だと、音速レベル加速だから核爆弾の衝撃波・熱波からは逃れられるけど、光速レベル加速ではないので放射線被曝からは逃れられないように思えます。009の生体部分は脳だけだし、神経系は放射線の影響を受けにくいらしいけど、電子部品は機能停止しないのでしょうか。ギルモア博士の技術力でボディ表面に放射線防護コーティングとかあるのかな？
生物の身体では加速装置のスピードには耐えきれず摩擦熱（？）で燃えてしまう、と言うエピソードがありましたね。
