I miss it. I grew up in Ohio, was a pastor in PA, Maine and NH. I now live in Oregon where the temp only occasionally gets down to 32. Appreciate not having to shovel but spring is not the big deal it always was back in the midwest and northeast. First deer I got in PA, it was 4 degrees that morning. At that temp, you get about 15 minutes sitting still against a tree before the shivering starts. My deer was merciful. She came by at about the 1/2 mark. God Bless I-O-WAY.
Hi there, thanks for your videos, I would like to be in touch with you,, my writing is not that good to explane my case, if there is a way to be in touch with you, I will appreciate it
I'm up in Michigan. We usually get Iowa weather the day after. My wife and I just went for a ride through an area of forests and really enjoyed the beauty of the season. You have to embrace winter to get through it. Also Matt, you've probably heard the saying that "good fences make good neighbors" LOL
Agreed. There's always beauty, you've just have to 'see' it. In a cold/snow event like this, the beauty resides in the silence. This weather was some of my favorite. to hunt in.
That area on I80 over by Newton has always been an accident magnet in weather like this. In 1996 I got stranded for 6 hours in that same spot during a 'thundersnow' event.
Thank you and God bless.
yes, blankets, food and water at all times in this weather.
People forgot how to drive .... Same shit, different place ... Greetings from Belgium Matt, take care of You.
Gotta love Iowa weather.
Yep. This winter is payback for the mild ones of recent years!

Looks like a lot of work ahead of you. I hope you have a snow blower. We are getting the same weather with negative temps coming soon. Good luck
Great to see a fellow Iowan gun and airplane enthusiast.

Glad to see you’re still ok after your heart attack four years ago.
so I have heard that some oil is better then others, some can even freeze. the question is what is the best oil for our snow blower?
I run 5W20 in mine... synthetic.
Glad I left Illinois...
