I'm very high on Christian and I do think he's one of those guys that is most benefitted by being tied to Jokic. We're not looking for him to create for himself, but we are looking for him to convert opportunities presented to him to good shots for himself and others. I think he's capable of that
CB is solid, and he's a professional. I think he will take his new role very seriously and I trust that he is working on his game daily. Young Man has great character as well as athleticism
@@Juice-ig3jzAG is only 28th can extend him till he’s 32. AG is a key piece during playoffs and he know his shooting is gonna have to increase and he’ll work on it
Re: Zeke, I'd love to see him return to his original role in denver offensively which was staying out of the way and hitting 3 pointers. Defensively, just stay himself which is switchability.
I think saric add more in terms on regular season based on previous years less difference between game styles with bench (bench for nuggets is whenever yoke is not on the floor) and i think Malone must try to play more saric ag mpj and Murray together and joker Westbrook and 3 bench to have more productivity from second unit and the same from starters without joke
What I'm looking at is not Braun Scoring more but him playing well and MPJ Scoring more. That's what Denver needs with the loss of Kcp. Defense and play making from CB. More Scoring MPJ...👍🏿👍🏿💯💪🏿👑H.A.D
When people said they would be the first seed, Murray missin 30 games wasn't in the conversation, neither was it for your 3rd seed projection I would assume. So they overperformed either way you slice it.
We will miss Pope's veteran presence and his screen navigation but I actually think Braun can have a better career when they're both enjoying the 1st Nuggets championship reunion in 18 years. I'm not saying Braun is as good of a shooter as Pope currently but in their 3rd seasons Braun is better from certain spots and can be a better rebounder. I don't think Nnaji is what we have seen he just needs to work into the NBA at the 4 for 30 games and get a rhythm. Put him in there with Jokic or with Saric at center with Westbrook and Zeke at the 4 will be fine on offense once he builds some confidence. Some loses last year were unfairly blamed on him when other young guys showed they had the same turnover problems when Nnaji was on the bench later in the season. They're young and need to play to learn just like we had to trust Jokic and Murray would learn. I'd rather them do that early in the year for Nnaji Braun and Watson before games matter.
The Zeke Naji contract was f-ing insane at the time and it's just a total albatross now, that they can't trade because they would have to give up assets to get rid of him and they have NO ASSETS. Zeke had proven NOTHING in all his time as a Nugget yet they reward him with a 4 year contract with a PLAYER option at the end of it. They could have used that money to sign Nickeil Alexander Walker who signed with MN for $4m. If they'd done that they would have beaten MN in the series and probably gone on to a 2nd straight finals. And they wouldn't be worrying about whether Christian can replace KCP because they'd have Walker on an expiring contract they could move if they wanted and could start if they wanted, or come off the bench. Problem solved! They gave up 3 second round picks to get RID of Reggie Jackson's contract when they could simply have traded him and a couple of picks to Utah for Kris Dunn whom Utah sent to the Clippers for nothing - Russell Westbrook whom they released. And they'd have another viable backup PG, not only Russ. Then there's the idiot 3 year deals they gave to busts Jalen Pickett and Hunter Tyson. They should be 2-way players! There was no competition for them, No other team wanted them so they didn't have to do anything that stupid. There is absolutely NO freakin' reason why Naji, Pickett and Tyson are useless lumps sitting on the bench and not playing and Kris Dunn and Nickeil Alexander-Walker aren't on this roster!
Yup, that comment felt unnecessary. All teams have players going through injuries for a stretch of games. Granted KAT's injuries was more than just a couple of games. But again I can counter by saying if Julian didn't get hurt in January, he would continue to play well for the rest of the season and could give the starters more rest. By doing so, he would also be trusted by Malone in the playoffs and be part of the bench rotation. That would essentially changed the whole complexities in the playoffs like not overworking the starters for a change. The fact of matter is if Denver didn't blow a 20 points lead to the Spurs in the 2nd half like they did in Game 7 vs the Wolves, they wouldn't even have to face Timberwolves in the 2nd round in the first place. But Nuggets just had to make life harder for themselves by drawing the worst matchup in the playoffs.
@@Stuzzyboa how did they get worse? They have 4-5 of the core that won the chip. Jokic is the best player in the world. Christian Braun is a great defender and defended Anthony Edwards’s better than KCP did. I’m just asking how.
How on earth were you down on CB as the starting SG when KCP shot 92% (so no he was not guarded closely off ball) of his shots as open or wide open? Perfectly rational to go cheaper/younger there ESPECIALLY after KCP got smoked by Ant and couldnt hit a shot himself. Did you not see what we all saw last year where the offense got stale with KCP and MPJ standing in the corners doing nothing? CB is already a better cutter, finisher, and at pushing transition than KCP. Anybody remember KCP smoking latups in transition all year long? It became a meme. CBs arrow is pointing up and at KCPs age his arrow is pointing down. Its so obvious to me, i dont understand what ppl are missing
I agree. I think Christian is the next Alex Caruso. He could shoot at a high level in college so he just needs to get to that level in the NBA but right now he’s already pretty good on defense with great size against matchups like Ant or Luka
Teams that are better this year then Denver are : Timber wolfs, Dallas M, OKC(to young but still fill their wholes in OS),Boston ,76sters ,maybe Suns... We didn’t trade Bruce, he left in free agency. And you don’t know how bad they are for the playoffs until they get to the playoffs. They have more depth this year on the bench already than last year
I kind of agree, but we need to see how CB, Russ, Strawther, Swatson and Saric respond and play. Russ may be the spark they need. Let's see if CB can make up the points that KCP scored. If so, they may be better than some folks think.
@@markkraft6719 Nikola dragged some way worse players to the playoffs before, multiple times. This season the young guys gotta improve on scoring or Denver will need to make trades at the deadline. I would love for them to pick up Ayo Dosunmu if possible

you've predicted various things for Denver before and you've mostly been wrong. The Suns are a team that will be 6 or 7 this season, because they are too small and will be worse than last year. Denver will be in the first three teams with any number of wins, the second is the most realistic in my opinion, but there may be calculations to avoid a certain matchup with some of the teams.
