The fact that people are getting mad about Mr.Beast building wells, but will never donate to any cause to help build wells in Africa is absolutely hilarious.
People are too busy playing the race game. I’m a blk presenting mixed girl. And I always get looked at weird when I say race is nothing more than an illusion to distract everyone from the real issues. This is a perfect example. People are literally salty over his skin color. The biggest lie we all bought into is the actual CONCEPT of race. No one wins playing that game
People wanna get mad at MrBeast for creating content around the good that he does but what they fail to realize that the money that he gets from creating the content allows him to do more good in the world. Let this man be great and stop the hate, For people to not realize that shows you just how ignorant folks can be. They don’t realize that they’re showing the world that they have a broke mindset or should I say broken mindset
They would rather jimmy just spend all his money on the wells once and go broke. The people mad about it dont want to help people themselves. They are just envious
Looks like this whole scandal is manufactured. Like if you actually look up the source of all this, it's one guy that criticized Mr Beast. Not sure why people try to pretend there is a hate movement against him now, besides of course conservatives that were mad he has a transgender person in his video.
@@jackeagleeye3453 Did you even watch the video? They had more than "one guy" in the above video alone. Not sure why you feel the need to pretend it is only "conservatives" other than your agenda I guess.
"he's exploiting people and communities for content" How on earth is he supposed to provide funding for these projects if he doesn't make the content ?? Do people not understand how this business model works ?? He's only able to afford to do all these things BECAUSE he's making the content..... Jesus Christ you help tens of thousands of people by providing clean safe drinking water and computers and solar panels for electricity etc then who cares if he's doing it because he has a massive ego or it's genuine , he's still helping people and saving lives , the reason behind it at this point doesn't even matter anymore
In the long term he will be killing people. More people survive more births, still not enough food or medicine . This goes on all the time with animal sanctuaries in places like Africa. Then fence it off get rid of any dangerous animals, then the population gets so big they have to have a cull. Nature needs to do its job.
As an African living in Africa I can tell for a fact no one is angry at Mr Beast this side.. We are all angry at our governments for making us look like fools while taking millions of our taxes for their own benefit
my question IS If that actually helps or the government actually does the usual that thing IS now our property because remember they have the Power to do that there
As far as the angry that governments make us look like a joke and take millions in money laundering, that sure ain't limited to Africa. You guys just get the lesser part of the pie after everyone else has taken their piece. Charities like UNICEF take 90% of the donations from the get go, so slim picking for corrupt African officials at the end of the day.
You think some parliamentarian from Nairobi are going to roll up on a truck and take off with the pump? They dont give a shit, because now they wont complain about there not being water. Still, the people gets clean water, and thats unequivocally a GOOD thing.@@laisphinto6372

I totally agree, bro. It's madness, I don't personally follow Mr beast, i just isn't my type of entertainment, but to criticise good things he's doing is stupid, and more than a little pathetic. Especially to then turn it into a race thing. I mean, so what if he's white ? what's that got to do with anything ? (You noticed how it's only other white people that have an issue with it, and no Black or other minorities?). As long as he is putting wells in areas where nobody else has bothered to, isn't that a good thing ? Some people just look for reasons to hate those that have more than them, they'll never admit it, but it stems from jealousy. tbh, those hating people are pathetic, most of them make videos about it, earning money from RUclips (and other platforms) by hating a good deed. Who's the low person in that equation I wonder?

Im from Africa - Kenya and i am with Mr Beast. Most NGOs use 70-90 percent of their donations on flights, salaries etc. Government doesn't help either. His work has effects immediately.
And to note, it always comes from those who talk a big game and lecture others on how to live and what to do with their money, but would NEVER go the distance to do anything remotely close to what Beast has done for others. What a sad time. Good video, boys.
The people complaining about Mr. Beast were not going to do one thing to help the people he helped. Maybe his motives aren't perfect, but if it means clean water for people who wouldn't have it otherwise does it really matter?
I am a Kenyan and I will say this, last year my mom dug a well and installed water pumps and tanks for her late mother and my aunt. This year she dug one in one of her farms in Kajiado. I have assisted my mother with the monetary aspect of these projects. Each one costs $6,000-$10,000. Her last dig yielded SOOO much water the villagers begged her to place an industry tank and pumping system so they can share the water with her. Not all wells will yield the same amount of water. so by all means, DIG the F&cking wells cause even the most fortunate in Kenya can't afford to dig and maintain water wells. To put into perspective, 1USD is equal to 150 Kenyan shillings. I'm not mad at all at that man. And thinking ahead is soo important as well, we dug a well in our main home 8 years ago and now we need another one due to various reasons. I'm not sure why people would be mad, I sincerely don't understand it.
Because evil rich white man did it for super-evil reasons! As if people don't deserve to have a basic necessity for life because it came from some personification of what you hate the most. And maybe for the more introspective, there's also a deep-seated envy-like hatred because he's actually doing while they just speak, or give to charities that (knowingly or unknowingly) don't do anything with the money donated.
What mr Beast is doing is good, howewer what I've heard from other people who have went to travel to Africa and install wells is that if they return to that same village 10 years later the well is now broken and the villagers once again has to walk miles to get water. The Africans don't know how to fix the well and maybe don't have the money for it either. The system is broken, Africa needs to help itself. White people can't throw money at a problem forever and hope that fixes it. Africans need to get rid of their corrupt leaders and that's probably the only way they can become better. When you have African leaders who receive aid money from western countries and then they put that money in their pocket, maybe give the people 10% of the donated money... And use their own tax money to help their people too. Why they can't do that? Corruption.
@zebnemma "Africa needs to get rid of its corrupt leaders". That's a lot easier said than done. And I think it's moreso the system that's corrupt than the actual leaders. And lastly, it's not really his responsibility to upkeep it. The people in Africa should be responsible. Mr Beast did the hardest part
@@zebnemma You’re right, the Africans need to start learning how to maintain those wells. But they don’t, they keep blaming their leaders when the leaders are from amongst themselves not outer space. They need to take accountability for electing those types in the first place. And if they all pitched in together at these villages, they could maintain those wells.

Mr Beast has my respect. A few of my associates went on a mission trip years ago. They described the wells there as a symbol of power under control. The elites are angry because their control is being given back to the people. This is why I feel those in power are threatened when someone proves something can be done fast, cheap, and easy.

All these people on the internet have no idea what it’s like in Africa, to be out in the heat with no drinking water for miles. Exactly the only people mad about him building these wells are the NGO's whose mission is supposed to be going around installing wells like Jimmy did. They are only mad cuz he exposed just how ineffective and inefficient these organizations are. They spend a small fraction of their budget actually doing the job they are supposed to be doing and spend more on their administration costs. I talked to a World Bank economist at my university and he basically told me projects like this do not get funding if they can’t create additional economic activity. They will do stuff like build generators in farming communities, but only to a capacity where it can power automatic irrigation systems. Projects like Mr Beast’s that only improve local sustenance do not get funded because they don’t create additional value. He is filling gaps that other organizations won’t, and I have to applaud him for it
That's capitalism. Resources, for the most part, are only put into places that have a good potential for generating some sort of return on investment. There's charity, but most money that moves around is expected to come back around in one way or another. That's not a criticism of capitalism, it's an acknowledgement of reality. I'm mostly pro-capitalism even if I can point out negative outcomes that it can generate. But this here, with MrBeast doing things like 'dig a hundred wells' and 'cure a thousand people's blindness', is capitalism incentivising positive behavior. MrBeast made money by making other people's lives immensely better, investing in these endeavors in the same way as other creators might put money into costumes and special effects. The people mad at this are invested in capitalism being terrible and it kind of burns them a little that capitalism could have 'profit via doing good'.
that is mostly true because of 2 primary reasoning. 1.) is economic reasons, the government will want to focus their limited resources on income generating projects, that is understandable and reasonable (if the government is not corrupt.) 2nd reason is practicality. Government will want to fund projects that can fund itself in the future. Building projects that do not generate income means it is only a depreciating item. This means that later on the government will have to keep spending money for maintenance and that is something they will not want to do. So it's better if the project can generate income that can be used to maintain itself or even improve it.
What's crazy is it probably does help economic activity but not in a way that's quantifiable or not big enough. If you took a big city like Paris or NY and took away access to clean water the economic activity would come to a screeching halt. As I get older I see how fucked up systems are when everything is seen through the lens of money. Especially because theres serious blind spots. For example companies don't invest in cybersecurity because it doesn't bring money in, it just stops money from leaving.
Just for starters, how about we recognize the poor job these African countries are doing when their citizens dont have water. Thank you Mr. Beast for doing what governments couldnt be bothered to do, ok continue discussing.

A well is also for the privileged. It shouldn't be, but it is. Having a well in the village means the value of living in that village has gone up many, many fold. By extension you probably cannot be poor and live anywhere near it (which is one reason there wasn't a well there to begin with). The Kenyan government is extremely corrupt and will tax the hell out of that well as well any properties within miles of it.
@@The1Waiter-gk4sz Yeah, he "exploited" them by building them wells and helping them more than their own government has done. You have a weird definition of exploitation.

yup and not just them but government officials too - everybody's got to get their taste through kickbacks and bribes and pretty soon you don't have any actual money left for wells

They hate him because he exposes the scam and grift that all of the NGOs and "activists" are engaged in. They rake in big cash in the form of grants and donations but never really accomplish anything because the problems are "too big." But Mr. Beast rocks up with not a whole lot of cash and just gets shit done. And now people might start asking questions about what others are doing.
Many NGO's don't even get to use the money they raise because they have government officials eyeballing the funds, with 20 different offices asking for insane bribes to grant permission to one single project (often the same essential projects that they should've carried out). Then, these same officials return for more bribes when they've run out of funds. You try to report them, only to realize the people you're reporting to are the ones taking the lions share of the bribe. I've had Africans who went back with the mindset to fix roads and build sustainable electricity, only to return to the US frustrated. Mr Beast would've had no problems paying them off, and they know he has a huge platform that can do damage to reputations. That aside, many Africans benefit from good NGO's and they are the reasons some people are alive, so let's not slander those who are helping in their own scale, in spite of the difficulties they face. The greedy leaders and the governments are the ones who deserve the derision every day, all night and thrice on Sundays.
There are a lot of selfish people who not only don't want to help others but also freak out if someone else helps them. They have some kind of classist mentality that poor people are where they deserve to be. And sometimes it's racism, too.
He essentially proved that you could get stuff done by skipping all the bureaucracy and they hate it because it proved that the people with the job to figure it out are just sitting on their hands on purpose.
Bureaucracy is "the way" for more than 1 reason. There were numerous projects in Africa just like this, and they were all shut down because water from those wells were heavily contaminated (too often ground waters contain heavy concentration of elements such as mercury, lead and others). Those wells were later tested and painted with red color for locals to know of its contamination. Because those wells are easiest access points to water, people still used them, even tho water in those those wells are more toxic than dirt water from stale water puddles. There's no telling what research Mr. Beast did before drilling those wells in 100 locations. 🙅♀ Some of the worst things can be done with the best intentions.

So while he maybe saving and helping Lot of people over in Africa building 100 wells of clean water; He on the other hand is Scamming millions of people in rewards, sweepstakes, the allegations, evidences of those whom participated and worked for him whom left..
The video literally allows him to fund stuff like this more often and helps educate people about the issue in the first place. The fact that he’s willing to do this in the first place is great. He’s not going to get nearly as much money back as what he put into the community. Stuff like this isn’t free, otherwise everyone would do it.

Its a never ending cycle of being able to help those in need? He is using his platform to help those in need while inspiring millions.. its ridiculous to hate this man.
Yeah, but it’s not unusual for philanthropists-especially those with his level of success, to just go ahead and help the most downtrodden privately because they do actually get enough funding from other projects. Going to another country where poor has an entirely definition than his own does have a different feel to it-but he does plenty of silly things for lots of money for the wealthy and middle class. I don’t think he’d be hurting if he started doing some stuff without the camera. It’d probably even be good for HIM.

Am from Africa and i am gona say it as is it is. Thank you for @MrBeast for building those wells. For 35 years we didnt have a well at my rural home until 2 years ago. We would fetch water from river and open air wells 1km away. I started school at 8 years because school was too far to walk to at 5 years. Mr Beast did great. Those boreholes are a massive addition those community. I love the fact he actually recorded videos as it gives the world a different perspective of the world. Life is hard out there. Thats why despite being in Europe now. I will never forget the ones that i left behind. Thank you Mr Beast whether its a show or not let haters hate.
It brought a tear to my eye seeing the joy that the communities that were helped showed. Mr. Beast is awesome. I love that he is using his fame to do so much good. All the detractors need to stop complaining and try to do some good in the world like he does.
I'm in Africa. Residing in Cameroon where the man dug wells in local communities. I'll like to say on behalf of everyone of those communities, WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL. We don't care where or why it came, we're grateful we have water!
“Optics are for people who are privileged” now that’s a word. I grew up in a village in Haiti with no running water up to the age of 5. Then, I came to the US at 5 years old and saw that people have clean water and still choose to buy “more pure water” aka bottled water. I was baffled and mind blown. I know that those wells actually saved and will continue to save lives. I don’t care what race did it. He took the initiative and put his own resources and time towards it. This is showing that it can be done, but they aren’t putting in the effort.
cool, anyways i live in the US and all our pipes are falling apart and you can light it on fire as it comes out of the tap because of the leaks and all the bs pollutants getting through
Really well said. I'm from a village in Romania without running water and I also emigrated to Spain at 5. I genuinely feel bad whenever someone even leaves the water running while washing up because I automatically think that that water wasted could easily save save someone's live. I've noticed that the only people criticizing Mr. Beast have never been in situations without basic the necessities available. They fail to realize that most of the people in charge of searching for water are young girls who don't get to have an education because of it.
Mr. Beast is the only millionaire that gets dragged for doing exactly what people want millionaires to do. Respect to him for doing it anyways, despite knowing that.
@@OddOtter707 so, when nobody has done anything, you're still mad at him because he didn't do MORE. You see where that logic falls apart? On top of, dude literally announced a foundation to donate to so he CAN put in more wells.

And then in the west we will complain about development money.. Not realizing it’s all going to waste through corruption and not actually helping people.
My husband and I were actually just having this conversation, and wondering about if there were other like "Warlords" or places where one or two ruling dictators who will come and make people pay for the water now.... even though it was meant to be free for everyone... we live in America so our insight into African issues is very limited, and it's mostly our fault for not looking into it...but when stuff is brought to light, you really have to take it into consideration that there's nuance to everything... I hope your situation improves as soon as possible. Thank you for providing insight into the issues that you face in your country 🙌✌❤
it shows ( the African government) how corrupted the people in power are over there. the guy literally uses the income from these viral videos and puts them right back into helping other people in a different project. these sour-puss a**holes who are complaining that hes making money off the vidoes are forgetting the simple fact that he's using that money made right back into helping other people. it's cyclical: he lives in a chill home but could afford a mansion. yet he doesn't, and instead helps people in need. I'm sure he doesn't even care to be praised. it's the people who view him that may idolize and glamourize him, not his own doing or want. my point is he does good. regardless of his intentions, he helps people. he's been doing this a while and doesn't seem to have malicious intent or greed like maybe jake and logan paul for example. who would rather talk shit to retired, old boxers, or fighters with bad records just to sell tickets.

The most I could achieve with 1 million is fix a few roofs, put a few kids in private elementary school, pay for some cancer treatments and a few surgeries and give my closest relatives good health insurance for a few years.
They just hate rich people and want to give them a hard time, but I don't blame them for hating rich people. There is a very strong belief in the US or around the world that the rich are heartless and they're trying to screw you over every chance they get, so anytime a rich person does something they will immediately be scrutinized and criticized
For the last six decades the world charities have been raising millions and billions for Africa and yet it takes on man with a heart to build wells. What the hell have these charities been spending the donations on?
African leaders have their sons in cities across the globe, living in luxury while a RUclipsR has to go help their people.. Theres even videos about them enjoying the best clothes and all that, i remember one on a cameroun son in paris, the video is still up in french

Why are people getting mad when someone is going out of his way to help people who are under privileged. As a person who grew up in a village in Ghana Africa where getting access to water was tough, this is amazing. It costs a lot to drill a well and for that thank him. People who complain won’t do anything about it but complain. Just STFU and enjoy your privilege and safe life you got.
Because they don't actually care about helping; they just want to give the government more power and say it's for "helping." They're statists in the worst ways.
Bc it's always the "right wingers" IE: The anti establishment folk. The hate it bc it shines a light on their empty virtue signaling. The ppl who do it, NEVER talk about it without actual intent.
I watched the video and it was so wholesome and beautiful that it had me walking away from it, asking myself can I afford to build one of those wells myself in the country where it is needed! Probably not, so I’ll just donate 😅
There’s unclean water here in America; Flint, Michigan, Alabama and Mississippi where the majority of the population in all three places are black. No one is hating on him, just questioning his motives when there are people in his home country going without the very thing he’s going to another country to do.
@MsE711 then people would complain that he only helps this country. That we have more money in this country and there are so many people struggling that don't have the wealth this country has.
@@MsE711 I would assume because his dollars could carry further in Africa. The machinery and labour would cost a lot less in Kenya than Michigan for example. If it's the latter, then more investment needed to treatment plants, etc

A few years ago, I volunteered at a school located on a small island called Rusinga in Kenya. It was a place without access to water or electricity, so we relied on rainwater for drinking. They had padlocks on their rainwater tanks. So kids can't steal water. Despite our efforts with other volunteers to construct a well, we lacked the necessary resources. Only people with access to clean water will make these complaints. Watching MrBeast's video filled me with immense joy because he's doing what we couldn't. I'm thrilled that he's able to generate income from these videos to carry out similar impactful work elsewhere.
It frustrates me so darn bad to know people can't just appreciate a person for doing good. These are some of the countries that need our help and especially in small remote towns who are forgotten. The same people who are dissing MrBeast will turn around and praise Oprah for building a small school just for show.
Yeah, but Oprah is Black. Therefore, she fits into the approved manner of getting things done. If I remember correctly, Oprah was all up in the camera's too! Of course nothing will be said about that, but Lordy, Lordy don't let some White man slide up in there!
This whole situation is, once again, the epitome of 'You don't love the poor, you just hate the rich.' The fact that people are more concerned with hating on and slandering a rich person, than the wellbeing and betterment of the poor people they supposedly care so much about, shows us very clearly where the priorities are. If you gave a crap about the disadvantaged people in this world, you would champion any situation that made things better for them, regardless of the intentions and optics of it. It's really that simple...
A single word covers this.. "Avarice" Like you said, they don't love the poor, they hate the rich because it's something they can't just have. They covet what they see and would quickly destroy someone's life for a few thousand dollars while decrying the privileged few who actually are trying to do good.
It looks more like they HATE the poor! Because the WOKE activist need Victims, to look at and grow! This man is taking some of that power away from them! Also his actions make it harder for scammers to get money out of people! As many of those places he helped, were being used by scammers to make money!
They just hate the rich because they want to be rich. This man is literally saving lives by providing sources of clean water. This is more good than most of us can accomplish in a lifetime.
I'm from Kenya, born and raised. He actually did more than the local governments since election last year.Who cares if he posted the videos, that's how he makes money anyways. The people who actually benefit from this don't even care if he posted the video. The model of the pumps used in those wells were designed for low-tech maintenance, using cheap and easy to acquire seals. You can even use a leather seal which can be sourced locally. While not as good as a rubber seal, and it would need to be replaced more often, it would work, and with a simple wrench you can maintain that well for decades.
For NGOs maintenance is not the issue...lack of ongoing profits is the issue. You might be able to tell I've become very jaded about NGOs and their sustained roles in various environments political and economic. They're usually thought of as non-profits...but I keep seeing it otherwise.

Last time I checked, you die after a few days without clean water. Wells have been around since forever and these communities already had accessible wells otherwise washing dishes, having their bath and all the daily activities that people do in the village would be impossible. You guys should actually consult Africans who actually come from these types of villages. My Great grandmother never had an education and my mother lived with her for 2 years as well as stayed with her every summer. The shtick a lot of Westerners try to portray African villagers is not accurate. This is the equivalent of saying people in a rural Southern town couldn't go to high school that was a 30 minute walking distance away until a rich Ghanaian billionaire gave them cars to drive. Like right off the bat, the premise is sketchy. Many if not most sedentary populations around the world have knowledge of how to make and maintain a well, it's how they survived, then you want to turn around and tell me that the most basic part of any settlement was missing until you showed up. You might as well say you taught how to eat food as well.
@@tylersmith3139 What? They didn't have wells though, they had rivers which aren't clean water, it needs to be boiled to become sterile. Which fun fact the top water table, isn't actually entirely sterile, you need to dig straight into the lower confined Aquafers.
I agree with you guys. The things he is doing will lead to a betterment of those nations. If more of their next generations are in a better position than their parents were then its a good thing and that is what helps a country. Giving those kids the tools they need to be successful as adults will hopefully lead to those people who were helped helping more places and eventually we get those kids who did grow up in a place like that becoming a leader and fixing the issues their nation has. Helping the kids will help their nation in the long run. Its all the privileged that act like what he did is a bad thing. This dude created a business model that is amazing. He finds a problem to fix, you watch a video for free that has some type of advertisement, the advertisers pay RUclips, who pays Mr Beast because he makes these immensely popular videos that people watch and the advertisers want their commercial on it. Hes taken that money to fund other business that have an even better return on investment than RUclips videos for him and to fund other videos. In short, he created a system where a large corporation pays indirectly into humanitarian aid projects, and he, them, and the recipient all end up in a better place than they previously were, and if you want to watch him do it and support it, its free to you! Amazing.
He found a biz model that uses the free market economy to fund charity. This isn't new, governm just hate it cause they love to have the monopoly of infrastructure which is where politicians and political actor embezel money and get rich. In Kenya, most people were happy (especially on twitter) because with how horrid our current government is, we are glad someone was willing to do something to ease life in the country. it sparked up a heated debate against our Politian's as no way could MR. Beast have more money than the government, yet our own politicians are doing nothing (than of course getting fatter) and are increasing the cost of living consistently leading to a lot of distaste for the current government. Anyone politician that tried to paint him as a bad guy was quickly shot down and were asked what they have done, leading to many of them pretending he was never here. If anything, MR. Beast opened our eyes. even if its for views, some of us are living in a state of hopelessness, and someone who is somewhat privileged, damn I'm happy someone did something for them. its better than turning on the news and seeing that the oil and staple food prices are rising again.
This is the problem, the people complaining about this are AMERICANS, or people who dont live in that place, and they have the disease of "MY VOICE AND OPINION NEEDS TO BE HEARD EVEN WHEN I HAVE NO SAYING IN WHATS HAPPENING", man i wish Mr.Beast could come to Brazil and fund some things around my city, because what these people dont get is that, OUR GOVERNMENT NEVER DOES ANYTHING, so we need to fund ourselves or hope someone else funds it, so a rich ass dude coming by and helping people is a thing none of us would complain.
When Aba said that alot of government contractors in Africa are thieves, he is not lying. I can tell you as someone who sees how this plays out in irl. And the sad part is when independent groups try to come up with their own solutions the government rarely if ever support their efforts and so nothing ever gets solved without outside help even in cases where we could do it domestically. Its very frustrating.
You know what? I for one am glad this pushback is getting highlighted. It shows there are people out there who care more about their ideology than helping the people they claim to want to help.

East Asians are helping out too. I know this because of the crowds I keep. Otherwise, good day/night everyone;)
Hell, let’s say he did have ulterior motives? Who cares? I’d much rather someone do a good thing for all the wrong reasons, than someone not do anything to attempt to help at all
It’s a cycle. He does a good deed, he films the good deed, he makes money, and the cycle continues. Not to mention all the “charities” who use videos of dying children just to take the money donated and put half of it into their pockets. As long as he’s respectful, actually does a good deed (not faking it like some other celebrities), and promotes good charities….then there shouldn’t be a problem.
Exactly, he isn't Bill Gates rich that he can do all this for nothing, the money from the videos is neccessary for him to continue his work. In the end the people who feature in his vids benefit from the exposure and this cycle ensures more people can be helped. The people mad about it are the rich who act like they care but don't like that he is exposing how easily all these problems can be fixed.
I tell people about him all the time. He makes the videos, setup challenges makes videos to get attentions of others which helps millions of people with the money earned.
Nobody’s seeing the bigger picture here: People’s lives are actually being improved. Even when you’re trying to do something good they’ll find the wrong within it. Even when there is no wrong.
I find it is mostly coming from the weirdos that think successful people "take" their success from others. People with no idea how the economy works. No idea how nature works. If nobody succeeds, we all have to individually scrounge for food and shelter like animals in the wild. We are all filthy rich in our ancestors' dead eyes. Even the poorest of us have a lot more than they did. They would be blown away by the device you're reading this on, then probably burn you at the stake. To those people: Hating people richer than you won't feed anyone. Complaining about a billionaire won't assemble a shelter. Moaning about capitalism won't pull water from an aquifer. If you want something done, actually try to do it.
This shines light on the epic failure of NGO's (non-governmental agencies) and big charities. These agencies claim to be solving the problems that they represent, but they are actually keeping the donation money for themselves. Often times these organizations only perpetuate the problems because why would they want to eradicate the source of their income? You guys made great points.
For the record, there are good organisations trying to help and trying to make as much possible from the money they get and take the least for them and their costs/employees. That being said (a lot of) their employees want the standard income. This doesn't help. I have worked and volunteered in them and (a lot of) their employees are often underqualified and the worst of society's workforce. You could blame the people who are qualified and good at what they do NOT applying for these positions but instead going for companies that pay well. It's complex.
As someone that's worked with many big charities... please don't donate to them. The CEOs and top employees are paid a stupid amount of money yearly. They spend millions/billions on advertisement. Not only that, the rich 1% own these charities and use them to disguise money laundering. THIS is why they don't/can't make real change. Just wanted to give my experience
99% of the donation money never reaches the victims. It goes into a system where people are being employed in massive numbers just to print and distribute pumphlets.

For unknown chronic, i actually love some pranks when theyre all for fun or if people are paying to get pranked/scared. But there are some people on the streets, malls and stores that dont welcome this stuff and become victim of someone elses games for clout. Some of those unwilling people have even taken to hurting the pranksters and its sad to see people get hurt. Im talking about those extreme situations.
Ive been seeing charities for decades asking the people to pay 3 pounds a month and they same villages is still suffering. We rarely see the actual changes from the donations. No one complains. But here you have someone who is transparent about what he is doing and shows you what he has done and achieves the same goal but people complain.

We need people to let go of their social media, and to just be a good person in their immediate circle of influence. I am a Mexican man with immigrant roots in America. I would much rather someone be a good co-worker, father, mother, brother, teacher, student, or rando on the street than be out here fighting white people for the plight of my people. It's pointless. It's like when some rando comes into an argument and they got nothing to do with it. Like bro get on with your life. If things need to be said we will let you know lol

@@zebnemma
You’re right, the Africans need to start learning how to maintain those wells. But they don’t, they keep blaming their leaders when the leaders are from amongst themselves not outer space.
"That's capitalism." @@mattrobson3603
LMAO!!!!
that is mostly true because of 2 primary reasoning.
1.) is economic reasons, the government will want to focus their limited resources on income generating projects, that is understandable and reasonable (if the government is not corrupt.)
2nd reason is practicality.

@@puraLusa I'm an African living in Europe. The level of corruption in (Western) Europe is VERY low compared with that in Africa. Like, it's not even close. Indeed, the Western world is the exception, not the rule. Outside the Western world, government transparency, social equality, tolerance/non-discrimination are often scarce commodities. As a Kenyan I can assure you that our African governments have enough tax money to do what Mr Beast did 100 fold in every corner of our continent just from using the taxes that ordinary Africans pay!
Unfortunately our leaders syphon and hide taxes and government funds for themselves. Mr Beast has helped bring light to this problem indirectly and the magnitude of the misuse of our African taxes is on display.
Had he chosen to help those people secretly it would not have brought virality to this discussion and we would not be as introspective as to how badly our governments have failed us.
So kudos Mr Beast! Keep going to the poorest parts of Africa and show us and the world how downtrodden our people really are simply because government officials are choking us with greed and corruption.
Not only has Mr Beast helped a lot of people with wells but he has given us perspective on how easy it is to help ourselves if we choose leaders with integrity! He didn't do it in a way that makes us look good but our dirty linen must be exposed.
There are enough videos online glamorising metropolitan African cities and lifestyle when the reality is many Africans have no access to basic needs don't look for such content from Mr Beast!
Especially our current government. Jesus! Taxes have skyrocketed, our salaries have been slashed and food is twice (if not thrice) as expensive.
But when a rich dude does something to make our lives even remotely convenient, we're suddenly making Africa look bad. It's been bad from the very start!

They rake in big cash in the form of grants and donations but never really accomplish anything because the problems are "too big." But Mr. Beast rocks up with not a whole lot of cash and just gets shit done. And now people might start asking questions about what others are doing.
EXACTLY!
💯
About time we expose this multi billion dollar hustle
"Optics are for people that are privileged." That statement sums this up excellently.
There are a lot of selfish people who not only don't want to help others but also freak out if someone else helps them. They have some kind of classist mentality that poor people are where they deserve to be. And sometimes it's racism, too.
I think we can find anything to make a positive a negative.
That statement summs up twitter and streamers like hasan.

All I saw was the happiness on the face of the community and the children drinking clean water potentially for the first time in their life. Thats what matters. It wont last forever, but it’s a start and changed peoples lives. There will be more placed in Africa through his foundation as well. It’s a win win for the people not the government that the problem.

I'm from Kenya and government corruption is wild. I'm so happy he did this because all of those getting clean water and not getting sick or having to walk miles for water have had their lives completely changed. I lived in Ghana for almost 2 decades and 😂 having access to water 🌊 is a privilege 🙏🏼 . Some people wouldn't let you even fetch water from their well or tap. I am grateful for what Mr. Beast did spread this privilege to the entire continent . He is such a true person despite all the criticism he was getting.
He helped people who needed help and the money he makes from his videos he makes about helping goes right back into helping more people.

Oh, and Google lost their antitrust case in the US today.
Probably totally unrelated.
Building and maintaining a government/society is hard. Anarcho-tyranny(corruption) is easy.
I appreciate your expression of concern and the insight you provided about the prevalence of falsehoods and deceit in society and on the internet. It is important to remember that there are still many good people in this world. Mr Beast's videos showcase the struggles that many people face, and his intention is to encourage us to help others without expecting anything in return. Despite the dishonesty that exists on the internet, Mr Beast's videos serve as a reminder that we can all make a positive impact in the world.
This boggles my mind. How do people think he could continue to do this without filming it?! Thats how he makes the money to help more people!
They're lashing out because if they had that money they wouldn't help anybody. They're trying to launder their own selfishness into a position of moral superiority.

Facts
He makes the videos, setup challenges makes videos to get attentions of others which helps millions of people with the money earned.
it's so important too without water you can't make soap (traditional method). You need water to boil leech lye out of woodash to make soap. 🥺
@@TausifAhmad03Bullshit. There are bad percentages but nothing as bad as this in most organisations. In Belgium and Europe we have independent organisations that check the amount of money that goes to help and I trust them.
