    George last was a brilliant year for you but did you get your peak wrong. What did you learn and in retrospect are you doing anything different this year to make sure you go to Paris?

      Just wasn’t good enough on the day. Only way to improve is by doing more training

    How much mileage should a 15 year old boy do to be injury free but at a national level?

      Depends on a lot of things. Your racing distance, the type of athlete you are...

      @hugoberry6974 as a 15y old I would not run too much. You still have a lot of time to make progress in the future, but running around 40k - 60k a week seems reasonable.
      I would advise you to find a good coach who can help you with this. The most important thing is to have a great training plan (made for the type of runner you are) so you can progress (f.e. as an 800m runner, I do weeks between 60-90, but there are runners who do less or more)
      Most importantly, find someone who can guide you and don't worry too much about the mileage yet. Doing too much could have bad consequences.
