6:30 - A bit overly cautious checking that river. Especially when you've already determined you're at a table filled with stations. Against this kind of table I would lead on the river and fold if I get raised. You're basically saying to yourself you aren't confident enough to lead out for value and fold when you get raised. Having 57 is such an unlikely combo. Especially when it makes more sense to be up against smaller sets, random two pairs, J10 and a flush draw.
True.
Keep in mind I was facing 4 callers and I was first to act.
Figured if someone hit the nut straight they would bet pot. All other bluffs / semi bluffs are going to bet 1/3-1/2 pot.
Also, was like 5-6th hand in the session so at that time I didn’t know exactly what kind of table I was dealing with!

@@ploprofessor Your previous bet signifies that you have QQ/KK/KQ so it would not be a good spot to try and bluff someone off the hand. All but the most degen of players are going to try and bluff there. Hands like 66/KQ that would pay you off are going to check behind too often.
It would be nice if you added the size of the game to your graphics on screen. Like just in one of the cornes add $2/$5 or whatever. Stack size would also be a nice addition, and could go right next to game size, like, "$2/$5 - Stack Size: $660". Just a suggestion, it would make it much easier to follow what's going on, and also make it easier for us to understand your decisions and also for us to make mypothetical decisions of our own.
I will start adding that somewhere! Ty for the feedback and Ty for watching!
Great video. More of these please
More will be coming! Ty for the comment and Ty for watching!
Professor you assessed, correctly, after the second hand, that "this isn't a table that you want to do too much bluffing at". Which logically leads to the question...what specific kind of live PLO table do you want to do too much bluffing at? In my long career playing the four card game live I've yet to encounter one. But I'm not a PLO Professor so I could be missing out on some value here. Help me out
@@gregoryschmidt3332 there are some tables that you should be bluffing at; if I notice a table tends to be tight I’ll open up my range and start pressuring my opponents more. If I notice people over-folding in situations; I’ll use that to my advantage. If you don’t bluff in plo yes you are missing value; in both getting called and getting folds. When you bluff if you get called; it’s a good thing because when you have it you’ll start getting called lighter. Ty for the comment and question and ty for watching!
Thanks for sharing Josh!

You really are going to deep into analyzing every hand about what kind of table it is and why your doing everything your doing. Just letting you know I find myself fast forwarding a lot through this video.
Yea I’m sorry I can’t even finish watching. It take to long to get to the flop turns and river. Sorry not for me. But good luck
Appreciate the comment and ty for watching! Always appreciate feedback!
Good job. Back on track
Ty for watching and Ty for the comment! Nice to have a good upswing for November!
I hate when a nit buys in for the table minimum, plays super tight and then hours later brings it in big. I like the video where you tell the "Old Man Coffee" that you ain't giving him no action cause he ain't giving no one else any action. I do the same thing and make the whole table aware that their action is no good.
It really depends on the situation.
If Im at a meet up game - I don’t say anything. If I notice someone is super nitty, I’ll make note of it and usually won’t say anything unless it’s pressing or they are doing something else that is uncalled for or super annoying. For example, last week, during this session the old man with coffee directly to my left yelled at me because he was in a hand and was “trying to think.” To which I replied “I wasn’t having a conversation with you because I don’t like you, I was talking to the guy across the table.”
Lol. I was in rare form. I used to be a total dick at the poker table to throw people off; as part of my game. Even though Im one of the nicest guys at the table. Now, I stay polite till someone gets rude with me then I just let them have it. I think now it shocks people when they see how quickly I can turn the switch!

Most players who buy in for the minimum are fish. Rarely are they short stacking GTO ninjas.
please stop the music. lol
I did have that track custom made - actually had 3 different ones custom made - it’s the one I liked the most.
Maybe I’ll see if I can get some different tracks in there….
intro is unnecessary imo
See I get mixed reviews from viewers - and maybe it’s just a level of experience but some of my viewers like that I show the hands that I played to the flop and then folded. But I will keep that in mind!
