The best thing I've seen all day! It's refreshing hearing someone who can actually play doing this. Every musician should experience playing guitar through a cranked Marshall full stack, and playing bass through a cranked Ampeg SVT Classic "refrigerator" bass stack at least once in their lifetime. Both are a feeling you'll never forget. You can never get that feeling of pure power from plug-ins or amp emulators.
right on brother, i play a Rick thru an SVT and there is no other feeling on earth like a fully cranked amp!! sounds like a pissed off rhino stompin straight at ya lol;)
Lol they literally asked me to crank mine on thanksgiving so their family members could here it. All my neighbors love my playing thankfully. I have the best neighbors!
The feeling of standing in front of a juiced high wattage amp with a half/full stack and just letting it rip is one of the greatest experiences a guitarist can ever have. It's a pleasure and sensation of power that is somewhere between making love and going 160 mph on a motorcycle or something. Indescribable, really. I miss my 150 watt Triple Rectifier and Marshall cab. My neighbors would hate me sometimes, but I would gladly take on their ire again in exchange for feeling that ecstasy once more. Nice playing btw man. You are a certified shredder. Rock on forever.
@@your_local_brass_bandit8825 I own an 80s Marshall mosfet head which i run into a 4x12 and a 2x12. It's pretty damn loud, but i can only imagine the pure power of a plexi with a full stack live.
Very True, once the threshold of 50W and 4 12" speakers is reached the interaction between the amplifier and guitar become part of the instrument. You have to actually play the amplifier as well as the guitar, its a beautiful thing when done well (as this was).
Yes !;! Salute !;! Brings back the good ole days. Intro !;! To rock me baby ,!;! By the grand ! Master ! Jimi Hendrix. I played bass in bands !! Late 60;s and 70;s. Salute !;! Turn it up to 11.
@@gregblackbadnotion yeah I have a JMP 2203 from 1978 that I use with a fractal loadbox. Sounds great. I would also recommend the legendary tones hot mod v2. That thing is just amazing! If you haven’t checked it out already…
To my ears, 2:22 sounds like he is getting into Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush territory. This is epic. As a long time owner of a Marshall Stack I will confess that no matter how good of a Guitarists you are, it takes practice to play an amplifier this loud. At those high sound pressure levels things happen that normally are not encountered. It is a beautiful thing indeed, wish this guy was my neighbor.
Errrr - its new years eve if i’m reading it right…. There be like fireworks & shit going off at the same time. Other loud stuff that doesn’t sound as awesome as this!
It was new year's eve! :D Since this actually became a tradition my awesome neighbors actually come out and listen. One year they were waiting outside already before I started playing :D I'm grateful to them, cause they seem to support the idea and seem to enjoy it! :)
I would be more than pissed off if someone did this in my neighborhood,, a very dumb stunt in a crowded area, you cannot assume that all of your neighbors are well. I've been playing guitar since 1975, I wouldn't dream of setting up one of my cold war missle silos outside my home fully cranked and start playing riffs and divebombing. You never know what others are going through.

This guy has reached the supremacy of home guitar playing

I recently bought a tube amp after playing years with a Firehawk Line 6 and its a much better feeling like everything vibrates I love it
Every day brother !!!!!!!!
🤠🎸🎶🤙
Not a Marshall , but a Carvin X100B
Same same. Rip your head off !!!!

What a way to enter the new year, listening to a guitar through a fully cranked Marshall.
Nice playing.
thank you Master Yoda, means a lot coming from you! :D
Rehearsals took him 2-3 months. Every neighbour was deaf before the new year's eve. They slept well.
How the hell are these things so LOUD? So much volume yet so much clarity and warmness to the sound.
A LOT of power, plus big speakers

Kept waiting for star spangled banner.
all that low end is huge, I imagine how it would have felt in the chest... beautiful
Badass. Amazing how incredible it sounds just from this phone microphone too! Awesome playing.
Half a century later and this amp can summon all the gods in the pantheon...ANYTIME!!!!
I'll bet your entire city and possibly the next heard that lmao that must've been so fun
Sweet
I would call the cops just so they could share the joy
Everyone guitarist should experience this once. The point where guitar, amp and cab become one.... Says the man who gigs with a 1x12 combo lol

Amazing sound and playing! Just think bands were using this setup and or more in clubs years ago, freaking nutty 😆
Perfectly nailed Ace Frehley sound tho
My god. I'd remember this night more than the birth of my two children
Deserves a lot more views, this is so cool
Every town should have one... 🎸👌
Dang…. that idea is genius
Love it. I hope you had as good a time as it seemed.
Superior to any kind of fireworks!
Well, if you piss off the neighbours, might as well make it a banger they won't soon forget. Nice one, mate.
That must have been fun AF.
That's what I'm thinking. It's making want to try it. I only have a half stack.
Awesome tone, what a great Idea! I´m afraid to ask you about your advice for home-recording...
haha :D No actually, just use a Torpedo Captor or something along those lines, then you can crank your amps even when recording in "silent" mode :)

Anyone who's not awake for New Years... YOU WILL BE!
I think next year, you need going too need 2 amps and two cabs .
Already did that I think year 2020? Check the channel, I cranked a Musicman 150W (basicly twin reverb) & Marshall JCM800 :D
