It was an add-on for the SNES exclusive to Japan, which basically allowed you to connect to BS-X Satellaview, Nintendo's first online service via satellite connection. On a schedule they broadcasted exclusive games with live radio commentary/music over them, which seems pretty cool. You can read more here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satellaview
+Nin10d0 Rulz DA VV0rlD BS-X is a add-on to SNES,which was only in Japan and could connect to the Internet. Another name of this add-on is "Satellawiew Modem".
The BSX needed satellite broadcasting to send over games to it each week with characters having voices that came from Nintendo then sent to a satellite and broadcasted to systems worldwide.
Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows this. For example, the N64 BIOS would just be the logo on a black background (on select games, not all of them) with no music.
If you don't know what BS-X is,it is BS-X Satellaview by St. GIGA and Satellaview ran from 1995 to 2000.You can recieve magazine, radio, and games on satellaview using a satellite.it has been revived later as a fan made BS-X project called Satellawave.
Hey, I'm from the future, and I can tell you that the switch doesn't have a startup screen, it just goes on to the home menu. (Unless you have switched it on for the first time.)
It now haves its startup its actually 2 joycons One Down And One Up The 2nd one gets down in side of 1st one and the click sound is made and the music runs and we get to the screen. BTW I'm 9 years old.
NES: let's DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BS-X: Let's get this started already Sufami: hi :D N64: who called my name!? GameCube: let's play! :3 Wii: Welcome to my layer WiiU: Here is my intro ok now just shut up!!! Game boy: surprise GBA: surprise again Virtual boy: I'm trolling you with my sounds DS:Hey dude DSi: ready to play? 3DS: *is silent*
The Wii menu startup when pressing A and the music that plays brings back so much nostalgia every time I played the Wii and when I played GameCube games on it that was also awesome I just got the Nintendo switch today Nintendo is awesome :D
The Wii was my childhood. I loved it so much. But the time came and I sold my Wii, so I'm saving up for a next-gem console. Not gonna mention of its PS4 or Xbone because I don't wanna start a comment console war. Both are great
The NES & N64 startups were from there Japan exclusive "add-ons", the Famicom Disk System & the Nintendo 64DD. The Gamecube was the first Official Nintendo console to get it's own Start-up screen!!
The BS-X looks and sounds as if it could already have been the start screen of a game. 3DS - best intro ever - that snob doesn't even want to talk to you. xD
1992eylul, PLEASE DO AN UPDATED VERSION!!! This is my favorite videos on your channel we will be happy if you do an updated version. Nintendo Switch is out now and it also has a startup when you do an unbox it.
1:47 I liked the other one better: *logo is sawn* "Stupid logo! There, that's better. Eh, god dammit... ergh." *gets Rare logo out and wipes it* "Marvelous!"
I remember wanting to play super mario sunshine and I saw on wii it had the little GameCube disc next to the main. I put in super Mario sunshine but nothing happened. I then begged my parents for a GameCube and my cousin got me one. Btw, did anyone have a problem with the screen like sometimes it would be black and white, color, no audio.
You using japanese versions tho. 0:37 it says Family computer. Family computer is nes japanese version. Another one is the nintendo 64. Mario shows up only in japanese version.
ill never forget you gamecube );
I still have mine :)
My parents owned a GameCube when I was 3. I never knew the Z on controllers thing
Same here
+Randy Speight lucky, my dad broke mine like 8 years ago because we played too much. it's sad we still have a few games though 😢.
I Still Kept My GameCube
The Gameboy Advance startup literally pushed me back in time.
So much memories with my friends!
.
Before you say "You forgot the Nintendo Switch"!
Note: This video was from 2013 Nintendo Switch didn't exist back then.

The startup looks so poorly made (despite its time period lol)
Deadbäss
Angelo Luna me too
I have an n64 and when you turn it on its black until you put a cardtridge in
unless its the japanese ones only
Same here. Maybe it was the startup for the failed N64 disk drive
It's the startup of N64 DD, an extension for N64 in Japan
people hated the game boy
SuperSenketsu yeah same
Its the N64DD startup
It was a failure and only one american version exists
Nintendo Gamecube statup will forever be #1
+Isaac Pruitt your so right
Isaac Pruitt I agree it's a classic and it has so many Easter eggs
Corretomodo

+Nin10d0 Rulz DA VV0rlD BS-X is a add-on to SNES,which was only in Japan and could connect to the Internet. Another name of this add-on is "Satellawiew Modem".
Nin10d0 Rulz DA VV0rlD argreed wtf is that

Pixelator Pro XE I am not alone!
Pixelator Pro XE kinda reminds me of earthbound..
Pixelator-Pro I think the game cube is creepy but also is pretty cool.
It's because it's BullShit-Umm... Xylophone..?..
nope
Nintendo consoles are so joyful and happy I love it!
the first one isn't the NES itself, it's the famicom disk system BIOS. the N64 one isn't the N64 itself, it's the N64-DD BIOS.
#getwiki
Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one who knows this. For example, the N64 BIOS would just be the logo on a black background (on select games, not all of them) with no music.
So suddenly there's no such thing as a Super Nintendo?
There's not a startup screen
Alex Kettle damn XD

Okay, I've had the Nintendo Gamecube ever since my childhood. *I didn't know there were two other versions of that startup!*
If you don't know what BS-X is,it is BS-X Satellaview by St. GIGA and Satellaview ran from 1995 to 2000.You can recieve magazine, radio, and games on satellaview using a satellite.it has been revived later as a fan made BS-X project called Satellawave.
There is no startup for Nintendo Switch yet, but we'll get to see it when it's released.
Hey, I'm from the future, and I can tell you that the switch doesn't have a startup screen, it just goes on to the home menu. (Unless you have switched it on for the first time.)
SWITCHed it on ;)
Squidgal Trickster or restart it OR turn it off completely by holding the power button
It now haves its startup its actually 2 joycons One Down And One Up The 2nd one gets down in side of 1st one and the click sound is made and the music runs and we get to the screen. BTW I'm 9 years old.
The nintendo switch has a startup
2006: Wii!!! This is fun!!!! 2012: Wii U Wii U!!! Ambulance is coming!!
Everyone just note that the n64 startup screen is for the n64DD pack the normal n64 doesn’t have one
The best one is the GameCube
the best selling was the wii
@@TJZ_okthatsme He means the startup was the best, not the console.
NES: let's DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BS-X: Let's get this started already
Sufami: hi :D
N64: who called my name!?
GameCube: let's play! :3

I like the Wii startup the best..

Lol on the bf-x startup look at the game card! There's an super Nintendo logo
The N64 start up is my dad's favorite he had an N64 when he was my age
For god''s sake, the NES doesn't have a startup. That is the startup of the Nintendo Famicom Disk System.
Towin13 am I the only one that has a nes with a startup
The first one is actually for the Famicom Disk System. The fourth one is only on the unreleased N64DD
gamecube, gameboy advanced. T-T u will always bring me back good old memories.
yo the vines on the gamecube! 😂😂
The NES sure is a funny looking Famicom Disk System, in this video at least.
and the legend continues!
The gameboy advance brings so many memories
oml the DS start up is so nostalgic for some reason
I like the 64 startup sound. It sounds a bit like Windows NT 5.0 Beta.
Loved the snes start up brought me back
The Nintendo Gameboy Advance intro is so nostalgic.
Um, the first startup shown was actually for the famicom disk system. The NES never had a startup, it just went straight to the game.
the nintendo 64 was the best and i didnt know you can do that with the gamecube that when you press z it changes
jesus garcia yupp I knew that before
jesus garcia tigres
That's not the NES, it's the famicom disk system.
The Virtual Boy will forever have the best intro
BS-X was surprisingly relaxing a bizarre at the same time
Note that the original n64 didnt have a startup screen. The screen was from the n64 disk drive, which was a HUGE flop.
I come back to nostalgia
WHY DID THE WII U CHANGE SO MUCHHHHHHH
The first intro is actually the one from the Famicom (the Japanese NES). The American NES never had an intro. Same for the N64
the gameboy and the gamecube were my favorites
The BS-X looks and sounds as if it could already have been the start screen of a game.
3DS - best intro ever - that snob doesn't even want to talk to you. xD
0:14 Correction: That is the nintendo famicon disk drive startup, it is related to the NES but the NES has no startup
Actually, the startup for 1:40 is the 64DD; an addon from Japan.
game boy brought back so many memories
I wish this video played the Wii U opening music that's on the Gamepad. But oh wells!
Also, GameCube and Gameboy Advance are my favorite ones.
I love that BS-X startup.
NES no tiene intro (sólo el Famicon Disk System)
MarianGameplay it's does
Los de aquí hablamos 35p4ñ0l
Ah, the gameboy advanced. Pretty much my entire childhood.
oh man i love that GBA startup!
It gives me all the nostalgia
Glitchy Boy SMG4 confirmed
And the n64
honestly I love the gamecube intro
Nintendo makes great intro music
Never knew the NES, SNES, and N64 had startup sounds (granted, they were the Japanese versions on special hardware/software).
the Nintendo 64 on is actually the Nintendo 64 disk drive into but I guess that's the only intro on the entire console
GameCube was my childhood
We could all agree the Virtual Boy has the scariest start up music
Virtual boy was like "Mutha fuka! You gettin Fucked tonight! duddududududuu.........."
My second gaming device was the Ds and the third was the WII ahhhh
GBA startup screen brings back so much memories good times
You missed color tv game 1977

BSX Startup was somewhat beautiful wow
Nostalgia is flowin

Great video
My favorite is the GameCube but I do like the 64DD's boot screen

The bsx looks like a fax machine
PlayStation intros are the best especially ps2
they forgot the special start up noise on the DS that comes on your birthday
I remember wanting to play super mario sunshine and I saw on wii it had the little GameCube disc next to the main. I put in super Mario sunshine but nothing happened.
