Predecessor game is free to play soon. If you got Xbox, look forward to the beta as well soon. Also go to their discord for free PlayStation CD keys if you wanna get your hands on a copy sooner. discord.gg/predecessor Also I stream this game on www.twitch.tv/trollgasm if you wanna see a high ranked player shooting for masters soon. 😉
I’ll help you out! I played the original paragon day 1 and played it until it shut down. So with that said, predecessor plays and feels like paragon! I love predecessor
Thank you it predecessor is the closest to paragon, I also played paragon day 1 and until it shut down also so I can tell who is going in the right direction on this
Same Also pred dev team and their CEO all use to stream paragon and play it completively. They didn't want to wait and see if someone brought the game back so they learned unreal and did it themselves. They also got a grant from epic. Epic said they were impressed and decided to support them. They also put it on their store and the first week it was there it was free.
I stopped liking paragon when they changed the item system. The 3 card system was dumb. Also I loved the sprint in paragon in its early days, if you don’t attack or take damage for a while you start running. That was unique. I am currently loving predecessor on PS5
Paragon alpha tester to end of days, loved the games unique evolution, and I thought the game play was absolutely more enjoyable than than smite. Overprime and fault weren't the best remakes, but they were good fillers. Overprime was better than fault imo. Predecessor has definitely been slowly moving in the right direction, but it does feel the closest to Paragon. I really enjoy it.
I dont know if someone else said this, but as far as i understand in the next update predecessor is switching to a soft currency system for unlocking heroes instead of a contract system, similar to blue essence in league. Also, the affinty track will be able to be bought with the same earnable currency.
Really honest, predecessor feels kinda alive atm. Idk about overprime since i dont play that due to having a ps4. I didnt even know fault was another paragon looking game that existed. I like predecessors alot which reminds me most of old paragon before it closed.
Lets be VERY clear. Paragon didnt die. It was killed. Epic killed it. Be it tencent wanting the compition gone, or epic putting more rescouces to Fortnite. Talk to anyone who played it. Theyll tell you the same story.
I enjoyed Predecessor. Then I got two terribly matchmade Games and the League Trauma came up. Matchmaking and Anti Smurf Measures are the most important things in a moba alongside the general feel of the game.
Pred will be free upon its release fomr early access. not sure if anyone said that yet, but it will be. Also Overprime is getting shut down, not sure if u said it in the vid. im only 10min in rn.
I preferred OP over Pred because it was easier to get my friends to try a free game, and the time commitment (most of the time) felt lower. I have about 60 hours in Pred but 200 in OP so I definitely had a favorite, and I was heartbroken a third time upon hearing the news. My friends said they’ll try Pred since they did enjoy OP so here’s to hoping Pred can spread its wings!
That is great news that some OP players are coming to Pred, hopefully it remains a positive environment, and none of the toxic players scare them away.
Pred is definitely the best. OP may have been free but it’s micro transactions were really predatory, and the devs didn’t seem to care about the game so much. Pred is now free now that it is past it’s closed beta phase, and is being developed by one of Paragons biggest content creators and his studio, so it’s being made by people who are genuinely passionate about the game, and it shows.
Pred is my first MOBA and at first it took awhile for me to get used too. After a couple games and finding what hero’s I can use effectively it’s become a blast. Though I have a group that plays together I have an occasional random lobby that are fun as well. But truly best when you have a squad though.
@@trollgasm for sure, trust there’s times that my squad doesn’t synergize lol and it feels like we’ve never played together😂 we’ve taken back to back losses some nights and some nights back to back wins. Then the we lost one and won one let’s call it a night night. Till the game gets stale for us we’ll probably still be playing for awhile.
Predecessor is the best version of paragon, and as of right now it better than paragons last few months alive. They is still work to be done with jungle and minions, but the balance and gameplay are top tier. Compared to smite it’s at least 5x better.
Pred is free to play. A 1 time $5 payment should be a pass to get all premium items for all characters. I have every character unlocked on Pred and I've spent $0 on the game. Pred is the closest to the original Paragon. A few more tweaks and the game will be awesome
Ive followed pred from its inception before the game even existed, and to me i saw passionate players pick up the dying embers of a game and try their luck at rekindling the fire, if i remember correctly, the omeda team originally did this as a side project before it became a full fledged studio, and maybe im remembering wrong but omeda is formed from ex devs and players of the OG paragon, which is why i feel it has the most potential despite moba playerbase toxicity, however ive looked at games like fault, and OP and ive looked at them as sibling games, we all want the same thing..... Paragon alive amd well, and each rendition tried its best, i never wished for the diwnfall of OP as some players did, if anything i saw the games push each other to do things, pred was coming up on a launch, so OP wemt free to play, COMPETITION BREEDS BETTER GAMES. I know pred is not the game our OP players wanted, it could never REPLACE OP because OP was their game amd i hate seeing history repeat itself... but i still have hope for predecessor. This moba needs to exist. The fact is, Paragon was shut down very suspiciously, it looked like Tencent, who owned shares in Epic, killed the game because tencent also owns Leage and why woukd they want competition with their star child
Yeah, 20 minutes before the video released I was slapping myself for not putting in the fact they help grow each other as a closing statement, because of healthy competition but it was too late to put it in, so I 1000% agree. I was gonna use DotA/League as an example. Without competition the game grows stagnant. Thanks for the history lesson on that. Yeah I personally don't like Tencent as a company. Lots of anti-gamer decisions from them each year. All profit.
Should have let a failing failure fail. We now have four failures with the same assets and schmaragon mocks them as a fifth failure. Let's also not forget ethereal started that way and turned into a very different yet still obvious failure. Smite is actually lucky to have captured as much audience as it has. The number of people who want to combine a MOBA with a shooter aesthetic is simply few. People who are great at counterstrike and PUBG are not good at league.
I have to say, you talking about Pred being hard to play kinda blows my mind as I’ve found it to be one of the easiest Mobas I’ve ever played, and one of my mains and strongest carry characters is Riktor, a character who is literally defined by his high difficulty high reward skill shot.
Yeah I plan to do a video on what a MOBA can do to stop losing players. I agree with everything you just mentioned, but those are not all exactly MOBA-Specific issues. Neither is a good tutorial technically, but in comparison to something like let's say CoD, MOBAs are innately more complex, and thus a tutorial becomes very important for the player. Which is why I specifically cherry picked that point.
the meta must constantly churn, otherwise it becomes stale. i think a big issue with mobas and why its difficult for new players is that knowledge is a big barrier for entry. players must learn all the runes, summoner spells, characters, the map, and items. theres so much to learn before a match even starts!! hots did it right by removing items and replacing them with augments which /appear/ to new players as choices to be made in match (when in reality theyre no different than items as there is no rng to them. they are always predetermined lol). overwatch took this a step further by removing the concept of static upgrades (items/augments) completely. while having multiple maps is more "content", if your opponent knows the map layout while you dont, that puts you at a disadvantage. at times, it feels like mobas are more about knowing more than your opponent than actually playing lol. @@trollgasm
@trollgasm wow! Didnt know that. I hope it smashes Smite 2 into the ground. Paragon was the only Moba i spent time on, and to have it back feels amazing.
I agree with practically everything in the video, I played both games and I liked Predecessor much more because it is much closer to a faithful MOBA like the ones we are all used to and not only that but it does honor to the old Paragon, but there are One thing that I don't think I heard in your video is that even though Overprime is free to play and Predecessor costs $9, it is because you are accessing its "early access" but it is not a cost-effective game, Predecessor was announced as a Future Free to play and will be once early access ends
Not a cost-effective game is a very well worded way to put it, I like that. They definitely are getting their funding for a small studio because of the overpriced cosmetics, and early-access entry fee. They're doing just about as successful as any other MOBA did back in the day. This next year is going to be massive for them, and they will need to turn on all their jets and throttles if they wanna take on a game say, like SMITE 2 which is on the horizon. As well as Gigantic is making a comeback, but that game is probably gonna last 2 months, and die again. Which so sorry for anyone reading this, but, the game has so many flaws, despite looking "pretty". Haha. I will do a video on it soon.
@@trollgasm How funny that you mention it, the truth is that I hope Predecessor does flourish, because it's like smite on steroids haha, but we're talking about "smite" that I've been playing since 2012 and it didn't die until today, and they're about to release its sequel , it's not going to come close to smite 2 (in popularity and players), because it obviously surpasses it graphically by a lot! but it doesn't mean it's going badly for him, and I hope it doesn't either. On the other hand, I played Gigantics many years ago and it was very good, I hope it doesn't die when I come back either, because its idea of the titans invading the enemy titan every certain amount of points made it something very different and good from my point of view, but they have to See carefully what your weak points were so that it doesn't happen again!
Iv played both overprime and pred, pred is almost what paragon was before they killed the game. Overprime I just couldn't get into but still sad to see it shut down.
Agreed, well said. And is your name a Just Survive player, or the battle royale? I got 300 hrs in the survival game. RIP a good game. The sound of sniping a motorcycle helmet was priceless.
played paragon since closed alpha. by end of it was a platinum Kallari main. participated in all the tests for 3 remakes. pred: got community backing when they had the least content. then they started heavily SJW policing their discord when game was unplayable, losing lots of their following. While dragging their feet into obscurity. Advertising verticality but denying community the map philosophy of agora (raised lanes/lowered jungle that made up bulk of paragons verticality). And touting verticality in like 8 spots on map where you can jump/flash over a broken wall, akin to asymmetrical league of legends). studio that got most financial support out of three. Fault: first one to comeout and die. But ironically- it was a very solid experience by the end of it, with predecessor fanboys bashing it on every corner and misstep. and after the game shut down- same missteps ended up in their favourite child (pred). The game devs made it entirely out of pocket. Overprime: it feels like a inflated mobile ad. Graphics ae decent, but there is that ever looming feeling of jank and feeling that something is off. Backed by a 'net ease' after this long ride and seeing that in the end- none of them have a clear vision and future.... just let the legacy die in peace. none of them brought back what made paragon stand out and everyone is pacing around these safe bets. No risk No innovation Nothing new to see or appeal to modern players dedicated old fans also gatekeep the game from new players. all of them will fail just because they are trying to remake something that failed. Even if you know that there was enough in paragon/iterations to take pieces and make a great game. the pieces they take aren't even the best and end project is bland. Let it die if you don't see a good game there and only see potential money After my experiences with them (so many red flags that aren't obvious): I lost all desire to support Omeda, and judging by player numbers after going F2P- I'd say I'm not the only one
The sad part about all of it is that Paragon was absolutely not a dead game, up until they announced it's shutdown they were releasing new content and Heroes. It was an amazing game with a decent community and room to grow. But Epic decided that fortnite was such a cashcow that Paragon wasn't worth keep around which I find to be messed up considering now we have all these degenerate projects trying to fill that void
How is this take so bad. Pred dragging their feet into obscurity??? Hello its A the only one that survived, and B actually has decent player counts. Probably enough to sustain itself, and they havent done any heavy marketing yet
@@wononcyka666 pred had some marketing. Their playerbase stabilised slightly after finally going f2p which was done way later than promised (like most things). Before going f2p- playerbase was hovering at 400 daily. They only became f2p after competition died. Hence "dragging feet". The position they are in is same that competitors were in... a while back. They got the most financial backing and are just slower at getting stuff done, to a point where beta community got burnt out before progress was made
I’ve played both over prime just died yesterday sad but could’ve been prevented I think pred is better. I played paragon at the very beginning was in the top for awhile hope pred survives. Ps I also believe phase has a very questionable design and needs a nerf # buff kallari pls I would’ve played both but sadly that’s not an option anymore. I wish they spent as much time on balance as they did on visuals, cause we were definitely not in a tank meta with carries (adc) characters nuking your health bars from lvl 1. Not needing a support, balance was over prime biggest problem. Was very preventable death it feels like they didn’t even try.
As someone myself who plays League and DotA, I can definitely see me playing both Pred and Overprime as well. Agreed with all of that. Well put. Hoping the best for the Overprime devs, they sure knew how to make a game look pretty. Even if it wasn't balanced.
Yeah everyone agrees OP was far more polished. I hope Pred gets the same treatment, but doesn't get axed by company. Would be perfect game. Let's keep fingers crossed.
I played predecessor just yesterday and i got a 1 day ban from the game because i did not choose my character within the 30 second time limit. I was trying to read the character abilities because somebody took the player i use. Screw predecessor.
With Pred, players pay to play the beta .It will be free at full release. You should research project direction or do a follow up video once things progress or Pred goes full release.
For the heroes in Predecessor, there is a rotation on heroes that are free to play for x amount of time and then some other heroes are free to play. You even picked Belica as oen of the "free to play in rotation" heroes, indicated by the small clock symbol in the hero draft.
Yeah sadly after playing it today on stream I'm even less impressed. Without the new player bonus, it seems to take around 50 matches to unlock a character at the exp rate they offer. They really need to reduce it to an average of maybe 20 matches per hero. That's a lot of time.
Overprime definitely put all their chips in to try to make the flashiest and most fleshed out game of the two, but PRED is the better game at its core (gameplay). With that said I think PRED needs to get going or the same may happen to them and they may die too. With that being said I 100% think PRED is a slowburn and will be a great game once it’s out for good BUT for now it’s not the best.
I have 1k matches played in the game, I love it. However, I would give an honest review, and right now an honest review would kill the game. There's so much wrong with it when you play it consistently. I wanna point out it it has been 6 months and they still haven't added a proper tutorial that explains Fang, Orb Prime, Tower Armor being reduced at 8+ minutes, lane roles, or gameplay flow. The game is a ticking time bomb, and will probably die within sometime next year as people lose interest. Once Smite 2, and Deadlock are released I don't see the game doing well. So I don't really wanna add to decline of it.
Yeah, I knew you would enjoy the gameplay of Pred. more, especially as a Dota player. We tend to love getting completely demolished, much like when we first started playing Dota.
Uhhh Phase’s beam is definitely not a high DPS ability and if you’re playing Narbash you can legit turn and stun her and it will cancel her ability. When she’s in her beam animation her movement speed is slowed down making her easy to hit.
I never played Overprime while it was around, man I wish they'd give their updated assets to Predecessor because it's just a lot prettier, especially main menu... But from what I've seen Pred plays way better despite it's steep learning curve, and almost identical to Paragon. Honestly not even trying to meme, you just had to get good.
Over prime felt so alive when it was around using combos and taking wins awhile winning lane never felt so satisfying, sprinting was a nice feel too.. pred feels good as well but it’s just so slow and stiff imo I enjoy it a lot (Kira) but I’m just glad I can okay with my friends who have ps4/5 and pc.. I wish overprice stuck around but.. yanno
Predecessors should be fine on their own Paragon was owned by a big company so it needed big profit. Overprime was too. Predecessors is a small company so they are still making profit.
@@trollgasm just seeing how predecessors is the last stand i would hope overprimes devs would work with Pred devs atleast in the UI and stuff but again 2 different teams in different countries and heck i bought fault when it was new then it died and i didnt even get my 15 $ back so yea... but pred is on sale for .89 cents so
To me I played og paragon during the last moments before it got shut down and I was barely getting into it until it shut down and right now I did played both predecesor and Overprime and in my opinion I prefer Overprime that game literally took me away from other games that I was playing at the time meanwhile pred makes me hate it the more I play it
They were neck in neck in numbers, it's a shame. I really did enjoy the polish and life Overprime had in it. Pred definitely a rough game for me, but I'm gonna possibly make content for it to make it more fun for the community. Working on some guides currently.
I will say this is a good review. Im at the end of the video and youre showing predecessor gameplay. And saying that autos dont matters. I have to say, they do. Once u get into mid or late game. People die in 4 hits. You are correct when you say that you need to gitgood. Your using a support class and wondering why your autos are weak, but forgot youre a support and not adc. On top of that ur ruining ur adc farm by shoving their lane and hitting their minions. That phase energy beam that goes super far is annoying to deal with. But beyond that phase is not a hard character to bully and manage. You need to spend a bit more time in the game. And practice landing abilities. Theyre so hard to land at first cause ur new. And alsoz they hurt. So if they was easy to land. Everyone would be dying a ton. The game has a nice pacing to it. Where most games end at 30mins. And most killing happens after lane phase / early game is over. Which takes about 8-12 minutes.
I don't blame Pred for this, as they're just following the popular League format, but as a DotA player I find this incredibly less stimulating for me. In DotA, the supports are just as scary as the carries for the first 10 minutes of the game, and then at late game, some supports can even become carries themselves outpacing their core carries lanes. To break it down, basically the level of usefulness for a support in DotA never is outpaced by scaling, if the skill level of the player permits it, this is unique to DotA. This is why DotA is considered the hardest MOBA to exist. everyone is overpowered, and it depends on how good a player you are. This level of constant danger is what makes DotA specifically exciting for me, and why I even go occasionally play OW2, as the supports in that game can clap cheeks hard if they out-skill the enemy. Hopefully that explains why a support doing no damage is just boring to me, and the concept of scaling late game into just being a CC, and shield/heal battery is absolutely mind numbing. This isn't to say predecessor is a bad game, nor is league, I just like having to constantly be on my toes and rewarded for skill as opposed to a weaker support confined to be that just that role. I plan to do a full video breakdown about all of these things in MOBAs, but I hope that answer suffices. I will definitely be playing Pred more though in the future, I do like it more compared to SMITE, sorry SMITE players.
@trollgasm it's not that they do no damage It's that their autos don't do much damage. But their abilities do. There are plenty of supports in pred that double as offlaner, jungles, or midlane mages. You really just have to know what you are doing. Belica can mid and support. Riktor can jungle and support and offlane Fey can support and midlane Steel can offlane, jungle, and support Rampage can jungle, and support. Just to name a few for the sake of example.
Belica is really the support damage mage and dekker is a good all round support that can be built damage. Steel and Riktor are tanks with very impactful skills. Ramp and fey are not great picks for the most part. Balance of predecessor is surprisingly good much better than paragon was so they dont change much making the game a tad stale. It takes a bit of getting used to so trying out heros in bots is advisable because the small playerbase is what makes it rough for new players@@trollgasm
@@trollgasm if you want a support that deals damage, use steel, he has access to 3 stuns and a wall that deals damage and slows, he's exactly like how he was in paragon when it died for a reason, beleka and dekkar are both abylity focused supports, beleka being the best at taking out enemt mana in the game, that stuff comes at a cost, as for phase, she is incredibly weak in game, her root is annoying, and her blind is just as bad when it comes to wanting to fight her, but only really for melee heros, but compared to narbash who can stun her when she uses that abylity, or a riktor that can easily hook her, which completely takes away her entier kit. She's built off being able to support a hero from behind them, and if they get in trouble pull them to her, if she's the one in trouble she is supposed to use her blind and run, or pull a melee hero to her, if you pull her with riktor, you can stop her from using an abylity for way long enough to kill her if he's built for damage, or has someone to help
Overprime is trash, compared to predecessor and that's comparing both to Paragon which i played a lot. but if predecessor ever went away overprime would be okay
Game is in a terrible place and the community is so toxic even for a moba. Soooo many afk flamers and ping spammers. Atleast 1 out of every 3 games ill have a player get jg then refuse to go jg and triple stack duo or duo mid or solo.
Watching my gf play in her placement matches at lowest rating can confirm. It's full of smurfs, toxic players, and people who don't understand the game because there's no legitimate tutorial. Someone got carry instead of her, which was fine, I coached her through jungle, but the carry legitimately when "offlane" (top lane of league) as a twinblast duo with greystone. Then the next game she GOT jungle instead of carry again, but was prepared this time. EXCEPT, the carry role took grux into right-lane with a gideon support who was completely new to the game you could tell. Low level predecessor is full of lost people who have no clue what they're doing, or smurfs. Mid-level predecessor full of lots of smurfs, and at high-level predecessor it's full of 5 stacks. There's really no winning unless you ignore all of these. Hopefully ranked mode + tutorial will fix these issues, but the devs need to get their ass into gear.
@@trollgasm Yeah seems imma just have to level my account and get higher mmr to see if its just a new account thing. Ive never played the game until this week.
A few things. Overprime is canceled so there is only pred left. I am genuinely curios, not trying to be toxic here. Why should I play a copy of another game when smite 2 is coming out very soon? I love supporting small devs, I can invest thousands of euros into them and request nothing in return, you might even call me an "idie whale"... xD Omeda however, does NOT feel like a small company, rather everything feels like a big corp that TRIES TO LOOK LIKE a small indie, VERY strange behavior from a dev. From publisher, absolutely, more or less standard for a publisher in 2024, but devs tend to care more about the product than money, I get a strange feeling about Omeda, like "something is not right". Am I completely alone in feeling like this about the last remaining copy cat of Paragon?
Omeda is a development studio that was founded by one of Paragons biggest content creators. They charged more for the closed beta because it was a small team trying to fund a passion project. But now that the game has gotten a larger player base and is starting to find its footing, it’s gone FTP with its open beta with cross play on every platform, with heroes now being earnable with in game currency. As far as everything else about the game, as someone who’s been playing Smite sense it’s beta, Pred blows it out of the water in most aspects, and I’m far from the only one who feels that way. Since the open beta started(admittedly only a few day ago)I’ve dropped smite entirely and have no interest in going back. Smite two looks really promising, but Pred is just kinda really doing it for me right now. Realistically the only thing currently holding Pred back for me right now is it’s small development team which = lack of content. Not really any skins I’m super interested in buying, some key UI features are missing, and so on. But the games still in Beta, and hopefully with the funds their explosion in player base will likely bring them since the start of the beta, they will be able to expand and start dropping new content. So long as Pred can keep up with content updates, Smite 2 may have a serious competitor on its hands.
Honestly i don't see predecessor making it many more years the game is developed to slowly snd is trying to be too much like paragon which when you're trying to be like a game that failed not a great sign. The death nail for pred will probably be when smite 2 vones out if it is close to living up to its hype rip pred.
Sadly agreed. I am writing a script for a video on why MOBAs die, and one of the reasons is slow development. Back when League, Smite, and DotA 2 were starting, they were releasing 1 sometimes 2 characters together every 1-2 weeks, resulting in 3-4 characters A MONTH... On top of the month balance/patch notes to boot. It obviously slowed down now, but MOBAs nowadays got weak devs that can't keep that pace in the beginning. So it's no surprise.
To be fair, Paragon didn’t really fail, the dev team just dropped support to put all their focus on fortnite. Paragon pulled good numbers, but epic saw the behemoth they had on their hands with fortnite and decided to place all their bets on that game and pull support. I agree with the slow development. But one good thing is the explosion in player base Pred has seen since going into open beta. With the funding that will likely bring, they may be able to expand their team and start pumping out more content. The biggest issue is, as you said, smite 2. If smite 2 wasn’t dropping so soon, Pred’s future would be extremely promising. But if they don’t speed up content drops soon, I’m not sure if they’ll be able to keep up with smite 2 once’s it’s out.
One thing that should be said is that lobbies were full of surrender votes and people decided to troll and throw games… So you mean you were playing a Moba then yeah? 😂😂 standard.

It's very good.
I'm in love with Pred. It'll be free at some point lol
"A reverse caitlyn jenner, starting slow and becoming an olympic sprinter" goddammit why are you hilarious?
Lets be VERY clear. Paragon didnt die. It was killed. Epic killed it. Be it tencent wanting the compition gone, or epic putting more rescouces to Fortnite. Talk to anyone who played it. Theyll tell you the same story.

Pred is my first MOBA and at first it took awhile for me to get used too. After a couple games and finding what hero’s I can use effectively it’s become a blast. Though I have a group that plays together I have an occasional random lobby that are fun as well. But truly best when you have a squad though.
Without a squad it's a gamble, but it's really good in squads. Can't wait for ranked.
Smite is a hot mess compared to Predecessor. More than 5x better. Like infinitely. Haha.
All profit.
Should have never been two Paragons. Should've just combined and made a true Paragon Experience
If only it worked like that, 100% agree.
@ckckck12 the owners of paragon had a finalist stake in lol becoming an esport so it was really not a failure just greedy people
@@shutupimstilltalking tencent owns a good chunk of netmarble too. I have a feeling it took them a year and a half to notice and then kill it.
@ckckck12 4? Paragon, Fault, OP.... wheres the 4th and dont try saying its prec cause as of right now its thriving for what it is
I have to say, you talking about Pred being hard to play kinda blows my mind as I’ve found it to be one of the easiest Mobas I’ve ever played, and one of my mains and strongest carry characters is Riktor, a character who is literally defined by his high difficulty high reward skill shot.
the only way mobas retain players is through balance changes, new characters, and skins. well, at least currently.

PREDECESSOR HAS MADE IT TO PS5 AND OPEN I LOVE THIS GAME RAHHHHHH RIP PARAGON
They got 20 million in investing too. We'll see how well it does within the year.
@trollgasm wow! Didnt know that. I hope it smashes Smite 2 into the ground. Paragon was the only Moba i spent time on, and to have it back feels amazing.
I Died when you said armless man in a dart competition 😂😂😂
I love these types of video starting my one true love. Predecessor And all paragon related things. !!
I love making them. Long live MOBAs!
Funny and spot on review, sub’d

These guys really said "We want paragon but without the card system because it was too hard for us to figure out when we were playing the game :C"
and moba gigantic is getting an relaunch 20$ no microtransactions you earn eveerything in the game just by playing comes out april 9th
@@trollgasm lol just h1z1 took my profile pic before they split the game in 2.
played paragon since closed alpha.
by end of it was a platinum Kallari main.
participated in all the tests for 3 remakes.
pred: got community backing when they had the least content. then they started heavily SJW policing their discord when game was unplayable, losing lots of their following.
Backed by a 'net ease'
after this long ride and seeing that in the end- none of them have a clear vision and future.... just let the legacy die in peace.
none of them brought back what made paragon stand out and everyone is pacing around these safe bets.
No risk
No innovation
Nothing new to see or appeal to modern players
dedicated old fans also gatekeep the game from new players.
all of them will fail just because they are trying to remake something that failed.
Even if you know that there was enough in paragon/iterations to take pieces and make a great game.
the pieces they take aren't even the best and end project is bland.
Let it die if you don't see a good game there and only see potential money
After my experiences with them (so many red flags that aren't obvious): I lost all desire to support Omeda, and judging by player numbers after going F2P- I'd say I'm not the only one
Ps I also believe phase has a very questionable design and needs a nerf # buff kallari pls
I would’ve played both but sadly that’s not an option anymore.
Yea over prime is flashy but that’s it. Predecessor is the best one

PARAGON THE OVERPRIME IS DEAD !!!??

Pred is the best by far. OP felt like a mobile game that they polished up to make some quick cash on skins before axing it
Yeah everyone agrees OP was far more polished. I hope Pred gets the same treatment, but doesn't get axed by company. Would be perfect game. Let's keep fingers crossed.
Give us an update video review after the V1.2 update in two weeks...
I played predecessor just yesterday and i got a 1 day ban from the game because i did not choose my character within the 30 second time limit. I was trying to read the character abilities because somebody took the player i use. Screw predecessor.
you did the players a favor. read those things before starting a game in the character menu not in draft.
With Pred, players pay to play the beta .It will be free at full release. You should research project direction or do a follow up video once things progress or Pred goes full release.
If it goes full released. Seems games nowadays are in early access for 5+ years.
predecessor is my first moba and i love it. i’m 100 hrs in and i’ve stopped playing any other game
Predecessor slaps dude it deserves more recognition
For the heroes in Predecessor, there is a rotation on heroes that are free to play for x amount of time and then some other heroes are free to play.
You even picked Belica as oen of the "free to play in rotation" heroes, indicated by the small clock symbol in the hero draft.
Yeah sadly after playing it today on stream I'm even less impressed. Without the new player bonus, it seems to take around 50 matches to unlock a character at the exp rate they offer.
They really need to reduce it to an average of maybe 20 matches per hero. That's a lot of time.
That is really stupid rotating heroes just doesn’t make any sense
Overprime definitely put all their chips in to try to make the flashiest and most fleshed out game of the two, but PRED is the better game at its core (gameplay). With that said I think PRED needs to get going or the same may happen to them and they may die too. With that being said I 100% think PRED is a slowburn and will be a great game once it’s out for good BUT for now it’s not the best.
I would love for you to do a update on this game in the future. Just so people can see what its like today.
Hahaha, it just works for me.
Uhhh Phase’s beam is definitely not a high DPS ability and if you’re playing Narbash you can legit turn and stun her and it will cancel her ability. When she’s in her beam animation her movement speed is slowed down making her easy to hit.
Thank you Sam Cady. I'll be sure to bone her down through my minion wave, as she max-range casts a easy to land laser. I never considered that.
Timestamps would've been good, my brother👍
Over prime felt so alive when it was around using combos and taking wins awhile winning lane never felt so satisfying, sprinting was a nice feel too.. pred feels good as well but it’s just so slow and stiff imo I enjoy it a lot (Kira) but I’m just glad I can okay with my friends who have ps4/5 and pc.. I wish overprice stuck around but.. yanno
i just wish all 3 groups worked together
Predecessors should be fine on their own Paragon was owned by a big company so it needed big profit. Overprime was too. Predecessors is a small company so they are still making profit.
@@trollgasm just seeing how predecessors is the last stand i would hope overprimes devs would work with Pred devs atleast in the UI and stuff but again 2 different teams in different countries and heck i bought fault when it was new then it died and i didnt even get my 15 $ back so yea... but pred is on sale for .89 cents so

First moba that makes fun for me
To me I played og paragon during the last moments before it got shut down and I was barely getting into it until it shut down and right now I did played both predecesor and Overprime and in my opinion I prefer Overprime that game literally took me away from other games that I was playing at the time meanwhile pred makes me hate it the more I play it
They were neck in neck in numbers, it's a shame. I really did enjoy the polish and life Overprime had in it. Pred definitely a rough game for me, but I'm gonna possibly make content for it to make it more fun for the community. Working on some guides currently.
@@trollgasm yeah that’s very true and well there’s another paragon game being developed it’s called infinite or something like that it’s on the steam

You blind?
Bro, use the jump pads, your poor teams. 🤣😂
Oops lol
@trollgasm it's not that they do no damage
It's that their autos don't do much damage. But their abilities do. There are plenty of supports in pred that double as offlaner, jungles, or midlane mages. You really just have to know what you are doing.
Belica can mid and support.
Riktor can jungle and support and offlane
Fey can support and midlane
Steel can offlane, jungle, and support
Rampage can jungle, and support.
Just to name a few for the sake of example.
I'll check all those out when I play next. Thank you for the breakdown and the list. @@crazitomali
Can you do Schmaragon?
I thought you were making a joke, but good god it's real. I'm not going to look up anything about, and I will review just for you.

WOW! im on the 1st minute and im kinda curious why the half like dislike ratio wtf?
Half Overprime, Half Predecessor players. Haha.
Overprime is trash, compared to predecessor and that's comparing both to Paragon which i played a lot. but if predecessor ever went away overprime would be okay
Pred is an awesome game
Hell yeah!
I love supporting small devs, I can invest thousands of euros into them and request nothing in return, you might even call me an "idie whale"... xD
Omeda however, does NOT feel like a small company, rather everything feels like a big corp that TRIES TO LOOK LIKE a small indie, VERY strange behavior from a dev.
@@hazardous8301Idk, I have a bad feeling in my gut.
I guess time will tell.
For better or worse. Predeccecor is much more like paragon. Kinda expects you to have played it or another moba before.

Great, due to your video - Overprime is dead now and they have pulled funding.

Never heard of it.
Sounds as unbalanced as Paragon.
But if they don’t speed up content drops soon, I’m not sure if they’ll be able to keep up with smite 2 once’s it’s out.
pred sucks compared to smite
boycott Netmarble

All of them are garbage clunky remakes of the original paragon and none of thesd shit stains come close to it.
One thing that should be said is that lobbies were full of surrender votes and people decided to troll and throw games…
So you mean you were playing a Moba then yeah? 😂😂 standard.
