I just finished listening to this episode and I learned so much about him. Johnny definitely opened up and had so many great stories. He definitely is grounded. His podcast sounds fascinating. I will definitely have to check it out. Have a great week everyone.
For better or worse, the Jackass crew were role models and inspirations for me growing up in the late 90s and into the 2000s. For as much as they showed me what not to do, they also showed me how to live and how to be a friend… how to form community. I’ve always thought they were comedic geniuses - modern day Buster Keatons with edge. I’m happy so many of them are still with us and doing well. RIP Dunn 💯❤️
Love the behind the scenes material on the Dracula laserdiscs. My other favorite part was when Gary explains how looking at polaroids of his kids helped him lock into that melancholic headspace. Dude was intense back in the day!
Always look forward to every Tuesdays and to see who The guest of the week is on your podcast it been an awesome ride since 2017 of your podcast. I have enjoyed every guests, every week you learn new things about people and what they have been through and people they have worked with. Love Johnny and great discussion between the two of you guys really enjoyed this episode. Another week of a great one, keep up the awesome job Michael, you Rock!!
Back pain is never fun. I loved playing sports and being very physically active, until one day when some dude ran a red light and t-boned my car herniating some discs in the process. I still love being active, but that back pain is no joke. I did what Johnny Knoxville did and worked out my lower body and abs to support my lower back. It's effective, but not complete. Some mornings, I wake up and simply standing is...oof. Just walk it off. Eventually. Lots of yoga, pilates, stretching and strength training.
Great interview! Everyone understandably loves Knoxville for the era-defining cultural phenomenon that was Jackass; but for me I genuinely think 'The Ringer' is one of the most underrated goofball 2000s comedies & it still brings me joy to this day as a (now) middle aged version of the young dude I then was when I first saw it at the cinema! Thanks Michael! Can you get any of the cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on your Podcast? I love your guest appearance and character in their episode 5 from the 1st season & It's been 19 years since that episode first aired on FX. So maybe if you release a video of you interviewing any of the cast in 2025, to coincide with and celebrate the show's 20th anniversary (and 20 years since you appeared on their debut season), then that'd be a meaningful angle from which to approach the interview(s)! I bet neither you nor they can believe it would last 20 years and counting! :-)
I have been Listening to the Inside of You ever since the 1st Episode of the Videos on RUclips. I was also going through some rough times with my Mental Health & the Meds that I was on. On one Episode Rosé was talking about his own Mental Health Condition and the Meds he was on which were the same ones I was on. He then went on to say that his Doctor mentioned a New Medication to try so I brought up that Episode to my Doctor as well and Changed to the one Mentioned. And just like Rosé I got better and back to my old self as well.
Great discussion with Jonny Knoxvill that i’ve seen in Coyote Girl and Men In Black 2 ❤ ! His career, his emotional and physical traumas must have been trying and he reveals himself to be very sensitive as well ❤💘 Thank you Michael 🙌💙💙 and Ryan 🙌💖💖 !!
Before Wild Boyz, Viva La Bam, Punk'd (Ashton Kutcher) and Ridiculousness (Rob Dyrdek: Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, Rob & Big); there was "Jackass" + Tony Hawk (video game series) on the Sony PS1 (Playstation 1) video game console; R.I.P. to Ryan Dunn (1977 - 2011). I wonder if the rivalry between Johnny Knoxville and Bam Magera is still going on (when "Jackass Forever (2022)" was being filmed; the director was Jeff Tremaine). "Jackass" was the "Candid Camera (unmasked)" = Allen & Peter Funt's tv show; for a whole new generation. Manny "the Alligator guy's" stuff feels like the Crocodile Hunter, the late Steve Irwin (1962-2006).
Great episode! Thank you both for the years of work to entertain me.. I appreciate you both - it’s the reason I want to help the industry so that artists like you guys can thrive and be well. Gratitude
Loved this interview learnt a bit about back problems which I’ve stuffed from for years. Yes I’m going to my Drs next wked with the information I’ve gained from learn in this show. Cheers Micheal & Jonny Keep up all the great work you’re doing. 🎉
Michael, I love that you mentioned Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia, such unique movie. I would have loved to be at the premiere just to see everyones reactions.
Note to the member of the "Inside of You" team that perhaps reads the comments - Please say thank you to Michael (and Johnny) for talking about releasing the Psoas muscle from a formally grumpy Scottish guy Gave it a go, instant relief then disbelief it worked - YEARS of pain, frickin' years of it.
Amazing Episode and Guest! I will forever Remember growing up in my preteen years watching him on jackass 😂, Awesome heart felt moment in here Thanks Michael 💙🤘
Yeah. This is a fascinating interview with so many new things I've learned about Johnny. But it's really hard for me to watch because I feel like he has to fight for space here.
36:29 anybody else catch the weird edit in the Lumen ad read, or I am just having a stroke? Also, love this podcast! Been following for a while now, almost done working through the back catalog.
I didn't think I'd be interested in this because I don't like jackass, but was surprised that I did find it interesting. Gave me a different perspective on him.
It's funny. I live in West Chester Pa where all of the early Jackass's were filmed. It was strange in my 20s watching these guys do crazy shit in town on MTV.
With the release of Lollypop Chainsaw RePop on modern consoles and PC, I wonder if Michael will ever talk about his experiencing voicing Juliet's decapitated boyfriend in that James Gunn written game or maybe I missed it in the James Gunn episode. 😆
Massage for psoas is the release he described the chiropractor doing. There is a couple variations on that, also a few stretches. Just haven’t found the right Massage therapist who does that good work. 🤷♂️
Marvin Zindler in Best Little Whorehouse!!! I watched him growing up!! used to tell me on the news what gas station had slime in the ice machine. Houston Texas Channel 13!
Big trouble is great. It doesn’t get the credit it deserves. Theres so many greats in it. Sizemore and Knoxville, Tim Allen, Dennis farina and the dudes landlord(I don’t know his name), Janine garafolo and Patrick warburton, Ben foster and Zooey deschanel. Even the Russians. Just bar, no customers, is bad location
I loved hearing this episode! Knoxville not taking shit from bullies is exactly what my father taught me growing up. If anyone ever got in my father's face and tried throwing a shot, he'd always say, "first one's free."
Dude you have so many great guests, but honestly you gotta stop interrupting them and let them talk. It’s an interview of the guest, it’s not about you. It get so annoying, and you sometimes guess what they are gonna say, so you stop them
i fucking hate that you can tell those concussions effect his speech and speed of thinking. watch his episode of Blocks with Neal Brennan and its very apparent. long live johnny and welcome to jackass!…also i hate that johnny needs a hug and to chill with someone like me, who kinda had the same life but didnt get famous
I've grown up watching him and I immediately could tell the cognitive damage he's had. Some may not notice but you can see him thinking about what he's going to say.
Love the show, but respectfully...this one is difficult to watch. It's not like Michael to constantly interupt, talk over, and put words into the guests mouth this much. At one point Johnny started talking louder to try and get his sentence out
I used to listen to this podcast a lot, but I got it got a little annoying with all the interruptions, and Rosenbaum turning every conversation into a therapy session. I do like him, but he needs to let the guests talk and listen to them instead of looking for similar stories to exchange.
Listening to this episode now and I am learning so much about him. Johnny is so down to Earth. I am enjoying hearing his behind the scenes stories.
Knoxville has one of the funniest and most infectious laughs. It's great 😅😂
I just finished listening to this episode and I learned so much about him. Johnny definitely opened up and had so many great stories. He definitely is grounded. His podcast sounds fascinating. I will definitely have to check it out. Have a great week everyone.
This show is so good. I discovered it with the Kevin Smith episode, because the algorithm pulled me to it, and now I watch every episode.

Never expected a guest like Knoxville. Grew up on Jackass! Awesome interview!
You should check out his Blocks episode. he goes even deeper

The “shit… I don’t know” hit me way harder than it should have hahaha
I don’t know Johnny so I will definitely have to check his work out, this interview was a treat and it was nice to see how well Michael and he bonded🤩

Agree….I’ve struggled with this also. Strong core & strangely foam rolling/deep tissue massage on glutes glutes can ease back pain😮🎉
@@darnitthelma4247 ah yes. And a good foot massage. Those and glutes always help in more ways than I expect

This is the crossover I needed! Now we need Michael in Jackass 5
Why? So he can interrupt the entire time?
@@whotang1435 better yet imagine Tom and Michael in the next movie. Idk what kinda pranks Johnny and them would pull but it'd be hilarious
Michael, I love that you mentioned Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia, such unique movie. I would have loved to be at the premiere just to see everyones reactions.
Such a cool dude, lucky to be alive too, he's always great in the films he appears in.
Bro I'm here for Johnny Knoxville. And you my good sir happen to be One of the best Lex Luthor's of my generation!
Another amazing interview from the start ❤ thank you
Johnny Knoxville is like a modern day Buster Keaton, especially in terms of the stunts and gags he’s done. Legends, both of them.
Note to the member of the "Inside of You" team that perhaps reads the comments - Please say thank you to Michael (and Johnny) for talking about releasing the Psoas muscle from a formally grumpy Scottish guy

Knoxville is always a great interview on any pod
Knoxville in the house. Dukes of Hazzard taking over from Tom Wopat for the film was awesome.
He never got the credit he deserved for that movie
Love the Courtney Dauwalter shout-out. She's amazing.
Butterbean knockout. Bulls are knocking him over. The bravest human ever. Love him.
Amazing Episode and Guest! I will forever Remember growing up in my preteen years watching him on jackass 😂, Awesome heart felt moment in here Thanks Michael 💙🤘
I really wish Michael would just let his guests speak without jumping in all the time.
Which the interruptions always go back to MIchael's stories that we have already heard a thousand times before!
Yeah. This is a fascinating interview with so many new things I've learned about Johnny. But it's really hard for me to watch because I feel like he has to fight for space here.

Time to go watch The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. High praises from Rosy. Interesting to see Knoxville really knows his cinema history
This is pure gold. So excited Michael mentioned it, it's a must watch for anyone.
Loved Lexmas my daughter and I watch it ever Christmas
Smallville Knoxville somebodyyyy hitttt meeee.... 😂

I know what Knoxville is talking about. It’s a deep sense of the injustice of the situation.
Red Letter Media does a GREAT review of Coppola's DRACULA.

Knoxville ❤
Limitations
Dude you have so many great guests, but honestly you gotta stop interrupting them and let them talk. It’s an interview of the guest, it’s not about you. It get so annoying, and you sometimes guess what they are gonna say, so you stop them
I recommend A Dirty Shame movie by John Waters with Knoxville in it.
I saw that in the theaters lol had no idea what I was getting into 🤣🤣
Good podcast. Hard watch sometimes, Micheal just interrupts the guest too much
Is he talking about Arrested Development? Because the Russo brothers directed the first couple of episodes and Henry Winkler was in it.
great thumbnail.
