you've never been so wrong in your entire life. this version is the ultimate Radiohead song and could have ended In Rainbows on an amazing crescendo. but it didn't...and here we are.
I'M SO PISSED THEY DIDN'T KEEP IT THIS WAY AAAAAAGHHHH WHYYYYYYY IT'S SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL i'm also pissed that they played it the night before i saw them and not when i did see them >:[
Yeah... this is from my live recording. Where'd you get it? I flew out from NY to London for this show.... was so fuggin' excited when I couldn't recognize the tune as it started.
It is crazy how many diff ways they perform this song... I love bits of all of them but haven't found one that's 'just right' for me yet, not that I mind the journey ;-)
This is great, if even if it’s a little obvious/predictable. I still prefer the contemplative nature of the album version, From the Basement’s is a great happy medium between the two
I like the energy of this version, but I thought the rhythm they used on the album is more innovative and so a better choice if you think of how it will inspire other people with new ideas.
this was a perfect amount of catharsis. ive come to somewhat appreciate the ir verson but oh man what could have been...
I love how the drums change rhythm at some point, it brings a good change in the emotional intensity of the song.
This is the version played at the Hammersmith on 18th May, 2006. Been looking for a decent quality version of this one. Many thanks, favorited.
That opening is utterly amazing...I would like to see a combination of that opening with the studio version: it's transcendent.

they should've kept this version
From 2:00 until right at 2:29 you can feel the transition from the off-beat to the on-beat emphasis
yes
this song brings me to tears
Unbelievable stuff. Thank you for uploading this.
So much better than the album version, Masterpiece
best version IMO
the best live rendition ever.
how did I not hear this until now, wtf. amazing.
they should play it live like this sometimes for the hell of it
I was there. It was amazing

I was there!
The thumbnail is In Rainbows Disk 2 album colours
This version is amazing, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it would have translated well to the studio, nor have been a good fit on IR.
the mash in the background is Bodysnatchers, it has to be!
at least parts of it
i respect your opinion but as someone who is biased by having seen this version at bonnaroo... man... if only we could live both outcomes.
why do people talk?
