He just used a drum loop, one synth line and his voice. At that he didn't even get the loops in on time and he messed up the notes a bunch. Classic song and he's an amazing live performer, but doing that especially with all the fuck-ups is far from incredible in my books :P

i cant begin to describe what this song means to me and what kind of emotions and memories are coupled with it so i wont, now seeing this performance was so fucking amazing. I cant stand listening through the original it lays to heavy on my soul, but here Thom is giggling up with a fan base singing background vocals while he's screwing up a bit, i love this so fucking much.

This song right now to me is about when it's 12am and you were invited to a party the next night and you were planning on not going at all but then you realise you've not spoken to any of your friends since June and you think about how they'll be there and they'll hug you and see you and it'll be an act of self care to go to this party because you WILL feel better you have to and that's not the correct meaning at all but that's just what I'm feeling .__.
Him making that very British sound of disappointment when the button he pressed didn't work at 3:30 and then his subsequent headbobbing had me rolling. So fucking hysterical! Also mouthing Shit! at all his mistakes was pretty funny as well.

digadeh it was just a gig he did solo, I think it was a fundraiser for the Green Party, so the others might not have had time for that
