    Wow. This is so clear, so relatable, so perfectly at the heart how to live what Neville speaks about.     This is true. "So What?" meditation taught in non-duality follows the same concept. Making peace with what's arising is a lot less tiring and a lot more productive than wearing an armor & battling each and every doubt and disbelief with a sword. Fighting with imaginary limitations is pointless. Thanks for the beautiful video, Anila.

    Does anyone else feel (or ever felt) as though all the “mental dieting” has made them so hyper focused on every single thought (which don’t all create) has made them feel sort of schizophrenic after a while?? It’s like once my mind cools itself down, that little creeper inner voice whispers some ridiculous phrase in my ear & instantly it’s a hard “NOPE! NOT IN MY REALITY!!!” But it’s kind of annoying. 😑

    Anila I wish i could understand you i really do. But for me the explanation is too complex, i actually get so lost in how you explain things (which makes me extremely confused and i just focus on that). That the message you deliver gets really lost. After sleeping on it i think the message was to sit with thoughts and emotions as they rise and don’t judge just watch them and don’t distract yourself to get rid of it. Sit with it. If this is correct the only reason I came to this conclusion is with info from Iamlove which simplified it a lot more. I do intend to having a better understanding but my learning style has always been short and to the point.
    But thank you and I will continue to listen and intend myself to understand

      Thank you for sharing that! I try to share my explanations with purpose - to share the internal mechanics - bc for some it's not enough to know that we need to sit with our thoughts or emotions.
      The mind automatically says "well I don't need to do that because I already sat with them". That creates a bogus and premeditative way of sitting with your thoughts to get to a better feeling place. And with that agenda, sitting with your thoughts once again becomes a way of subtle distraction from actually feeling the feelings/truly addressing them.
      So it's important to notice where this agenda of "let me sit with my thoughts" comes from - is it from a place of wanting to know "what is" meaning the truth behind events/emotions etc aka my true nature which is the truth? Or is it to get to a better place so that one can occupy a different state? If it's the latter, then again it's the minds plan to avoid and deflect and hence perpetuate the cycle of triggers. I trust that helps clarify things.
      I didnt want to make blanket statements like "sit with thoughts/don't distract yourself" for the above mentioned reason.
      And so I found it necessary and was inspired to share the in depth mechanics---- of why we do what we do (deflection/distraction - how to prevent that) - how to purposefully allow the thoughts to rise and fall - and how the mind makes up excuses to skirt around feeling the thoughts/emotions -- and how thoughts/emotions are only looking to go home - bc they're made of consciousness. 😁

      @@Theanilareddy I, too, am confused :-). How is sitting with one's thoughts any different than feeling them? Also, why is not ok to want to be in that "latter" state you describe above (i.e., a better state) if we create from the state we are in? You have a whole course on switching from lovely to unlovely states. Just trying to understand what you're saying/sharing. Thank you in advance!

      @@MCAVideos6886 : Hi there! we switch from one state to another not to make something happen...which is why I shared what I shared in the course. This is also the reason why it's important to explore one's thoughts/emotions with the attention of knowing 'what is' -- not to get into another better state BECAUSE that's a form of subtle ESCAPE mechanism.
      When we escape something, that means we're judging that state we're escaping from, and so we immerse ourselves in that very state we dislike in various intervals of time. : )
      this is also why Neville shares in his first principle lecture to fall back in the I AMness - to get naked to simply experience beingness. Then wearing any desired state will be a matter of choice and will not be because you want to escape or get rid of another unlovely state.
      We aren't meant to imagine deliberately while using the technique to get x,y or z desires. We imagine to experience the KNOWING that consciousness is the only reality and enjoy feeling (knowing) the fulfilment for the sake of enjoying the experience...and FROM that state of playing with the techniques, we step into our desired state inevitably and we see our physical reality transformed as a result.
      When we imagine using a technique with the intention of getting a desire, we inadvertently are claiming time and again that we don't have it now...and that inadvertently is evidence that we're still hungry for the desire - however big or subtly our hunger for it maybe...
      And so when we use the technique as a means to an end to get our desires in the physical world that means we don't truly understand OR realise that consciousness is the only reality...which means that we're still perpetuating the duality of 'there is the mental conscious world and then there's the shadow physical world' - when in actuality duality DOES NOT exist... and this also means that we haven't changed our self concept to one of knowing or acceptance...and so it leads to hits and misses in experiencing our desires life (which causes us to wonder - well, where did that event come from when I've been imagining so 'correctly' and we're less likely to be aware of our reactions). : )

    Hey Anila i've come here from your instagram.. I'm enjoying your posts and videos. I have a question, whenever I notice that i'm feeling anxious etc and become aware of it it fades away straight away so I can't feel the feeling and accept it etc it seems as the second I observe the feeling or thought it simply vanishes so there is nothing to observe but then comes back up throughout the day. Am I missing something?

    Thnk you so much . It’s a great video and you are very clear . One thing though . Negative thoughts and emotions are so sneaky and sticky!! By the time I’m aware of them I ve already been unconsciously under the influence of the toxic scenarios in my head say for half an hour and have managed to get myself into a stressed state and when I finally realise that I am the observer and would like to observe , there s nothing to observe because thoughts stop ?! In short when I’m aware that I need to observe my thoughts, they stop ? Is that how it’s supposed to be ?

      Just like when you face an emotion fully, the emotion loses its "power" and subsides, when you put your full focus on the mind to face a thought, the thought also subsides... So yes this is normal! But it is likely that when you are in this situation, there are still lingering feelings and emotions that you could face instead of the thoughts. In other words, the thoughts may not be there anymore, but the subsequent, lingering emotions probably are, so observe those. Nonjudgmentally and with full acceptance and love 😊 and they will become aids instead of burdens. They will help instead of hurt

      if u listen to too many things, u will invariably run into conflicts. Bottom line: you know what resonates with you. Anila is simply suggesting u are not ur thoughts/feelings and as such u can allow them to "be"...which puts u as the observer. From there, u can do whatever...and do it "free" from ur attachment to those thoughts/feelings.

      Hi there @Carl Jung! I hear your frustration -- and I agree that a lot of videos in opposition to one another can seem to be the cause for the insanity it stems in us. I know that because I was in that very place and I would enjoy my life less and be so vigilant about my thoughts and emotions from mostly a tired place. And of course, since I was perpetuating a tired state of micromanaging my thoughts/emotions, of course, I witnessed some unlovely manifestations - then the mind enjoyed blaming the teacher and their teachings bc the mind is always looking for an outlet - it doesn't realise that something bigger (the infinite consciousness/love that I and You -- the I AM is in charge).
      I also saw that I was holding onto that micro managing of my thoughts/emotions very very subtly - and so the opposite of that would come true because I wasn't allowing these thoughts and emotions to pass through. In my subtle disallowance, I was accepting these thoughts/emotions. That's when I realised it's the ACCEPTANCE (or Knowing) that creates our life experience NOT the technique. words or thoughts. That's why there is no power in techniques - it has always been YOU - the REAL YOU which is acceptance of your wholeness responsible for your creative experiences.
      While I'm not saying that you're blaming me or another teacher, what I shared is simply an invitation to explore something relaxed and different and challenge your old paradigm. This in no way means I'm criticising you or another teacher - I am challenging the idea/concept. Because the concept/idea is NOT who you are. YOU are so much bigger and unlimited than any definition can come close to describing you. So, if you're this infinite power, wouldn't you want to explore the simplest, easiest, most RELAXED way of being - -- one where your head couldn't possibly interfere? So as always, it's an invitation, not something to chain you to. Thank you for taking a moment to share what you were feeling! I'm imagining lovingly for you
