I cant wait to see Icon! Not sure how soon I will be able to afford it but I do wanna see it for sure.....so here is my next plan. I am gonna book a back to back in sept when on Allure and use my parents as others...but they wont be going. Someone told me to book a room with 3 guests and then they dont show its still cheaper. Will see if this works!
What dates were your videos from? I got home last night after sailing on Independence. I love watching you guys but to be honest our sailing was really kind of a mixed bag. We found the food in the Windjammer left a lot to be desired. Actually, my dog wouldn't eat some of that crap. The main dining room was okay for the one night we went there. We dined at Chops and Izumi and after trying to eat that windjammer stuff we thoroughly enjoyed the specialty restaurants. With Izumi being the best which is not to diminish Chops. They were good. We ended up getting a credit for the excursion we took in Cozumel. The cave swimming excursion we went on was supposed to be a trip to swim in these caves. Went we got there after driving what seemed forever on a road a field horse would have a sore back from, we finally arrived to find a Sulpher stenched pool of water with thousands of bats flying around. Hard pass on that. The shows were very good and the servers on board were terrific as they always are. Not for the really bad part. There was blood on our balcony floor. Holes in our drapes. Rust all over the place and some disgusting stuff on the walls, disgusting stuff. I will put all of this with pictures on the survey when I respond to them. Finally, I didn't want his to come out so negatively but just telling it like it was.
Oh nooo we went mid January! That’s so crazy… sorry that happened to y’all! We’re never huge Windjammer fans but have noticed it is much better on the newer ships. Same with main dining… very hit or miss but haven’t ever had any actual bad experiences. Definitely have come to appreciate specialty dining and tend to do that a lot more nowadays. Excursions too… it’s so hit or miss you never really know what you’re in for. But the room! That’s a shame.. we’ve never had an experience like that before. Sounds like you deserve a redo!
