Haha sniffing the rope. I can see my wife and I doing the same thing. I've watched quite a few videos in prepping for MY first cruise (on Freedom), but this is the first one that just feels like a normal couple having a good time. Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching!! 😊 Cruising is the BEST and we hope you will feel the same way after your first!! Please make sure you give the ropes a sniff and you'll see what we are talking about!! 😂
Ditto! It was so nice meeting both of you! 😊 We both still find it bizarre that the card in your wallet was an 8! Honestly, what are the chances that it would be my favorite number!?! 🤯
My first ever Carribian cruise is going to take place in late febuary next year. Freedom will be the ship. That is so absolutely beautiful and luxurious ship! I have been on cruises between Helsinki-Tallinn and Turku-Stockholm for over fifty times but those ships, ports, climate...noihin compares with Carribian cruise! I can't wait for winter to Come! ( normally I hate it but now there is something to look foward to! )
Another great city port to leave from is the Manhattan Terminal in NYC, Royal uses Cape Liberty/Bayonne in NJ, though, and that's a bit outside but you still see the skyline.
@@HappilyEverAft Yes the Boston skyline is also very lovely. And close to Logan Airport, too so lots of plane watching from out on deck before setting sail.
Greg's first cruise was October 2016 on Freedom which is funny that you were both on October sailings! My first cruise was January 2000 on Royal Caribbean's Nordic Empress which is no longer with Royal Caribbean.
Did you pick you Jr Suite or do GTY Suite? Ive notice the price point between picking my balcony cabin and GTY isn't very much. I've booked 2 cruises B2B on Navigator in December so I guess I will find out myself
We normally pick our room, we usually go for higher level mid/aft portside of the ship close to the elevators. Greg and I have been recently discussing this, "would you rather pay more and pick it or leave it up to chance?" If we plan to try to Royal Up, we will no longer be paying more to pick our room. Hope this helps! 😊
@@HappilyEverAft I have 2 GTY suites for December so I will see how it works out. My thinking is can there be a bad suite even if junior? I liked your comment about twice a day cabin service. I ask for ice twice a day.
if your still out there replying. How hard or easy was it to get past security before you boarded? Is there anything beside the obvious (guns, bombs etc) that I can't bring with me?
Security is fairly quick to get through and there is a list online under RC's Frequently Asked Questions of non permitted items including power strips, clothes steamers, candles, etc.

@@HappilyEverAft Thanks :) I'll be sure to take a sniff and report back 😂
I love this couple!! They are so down to earth.
Awe....thanks! 💗
I agree, they really are! I love them too❤!
Good to see this posted! We had a great time, and it was so nice to meet you!!

Glad to see you're back with new content! Excited to see how this cruise goes for you!
Thanks! We are always happy to be back cruising!
BTW, that party on the Carnival Sunrise was on their Lido deck, mid-ship and it was their Sail Away bash. It's always a fun time.🎉😊
It looked liked a fun sail away party!
The room has a small TV. It also has a bathtub. I hate stepping over a barrier onto a curved, slippery, moving surface for a shower. Sounds dangerous.

Very Exciting! Nothing helps deal with a long winter better than a cruise to the Caribbean!!
Are you going to Haiti, Nassau , and Jamaica? If so my gf and I are going on the same ship in late February! Freedom of the seas
Thank you for sharing. I am sailing on Freedom on September 1st.
Thank you for watching and enjoy your time on Freedom this fall!!

That does sound like it would be amazing! We also did really enjoy cruising out of Boston too!!

i can tell this is gonna be my SHIP!
Have a great time! Freedom is an awesome ship!! 😊
Thanks for the tour guys😊
Thank you so much for watching! We really appreciate it! 😊
$15 for the nail job sounds very reasonable.
We thought so too!!
We were on there a month ago, too. Week of May 13th
We did not sail the same week as you but we hope you had a wonderful time just like we did! Thank you so much for watching! 😊
We are going on Mariner in 59 days. We will smell the ropes at the schooner bar! 😂
Please do and tell us what you think!! 😂 🤣
You mentioned Freedom was the first ship you cruised. Same with me. October 12th, 2014. You never gave a date for your first time.

Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! We really appreciate it! 💗
Happy couple ..
Thank you! 💗
I'm an oak guy myself. Do you like oak, Jimmy?
Oak is nice.
